ONE CHAPTER WAS ALL IT TOOK....
....to completely destroy this book :(
This series was no way the best, but I did really like book 1 and 2 and more for the fact that very few contemporary Indian writers, write about suspense, mystery thrillers and do it successfully.
Book 1 and 2 gave me hope that this book could become one of my favourite Indian series and I hardly have less than 10 in that list.
So when I got the third book , I was eager to know what and how will the author end this series. Now out of 34 chapters this book had, everything was going well and good and in sync with book 1 and 2 in terms of the pace of the book and writing style till chapter 33 and then BAM!... chapter 34 happens!
Suddenly all the logic and suspense goes flying out of the window!
I dont want to spoil the "stranger" for those who havent read this book , but lets just say it was the stupidest reveal ever!!
I mean you build this intricate world with the stranger being present everywhere and knows every thing and all and then you bring out (not going to name the stranger:read to find out) a secret society....i mean really!... A Secret Society!! I know this is fiction but it should make sense and have relatability to the events too right?.....right??
There are so many plotholes, all the loose ends ....what about them??
Say we accept the given person was "stranger" but then it still does not answer how he got access to house keys, phone numbers. How did he know about personal info and all, and we are talking about very specific personal details here which no one but rivannah knew.
how was he there 24x7 everywhere along with living his identity? Those secret bug cameras even before she shifted to new place or being present everywhere all the time, and so many thing which made this book interesting where just left unanswered.
Okay for a second we believe the whole society thing but still how does that justify the things he did to rivannah in book 1 and 2 which were so wrong on all moral levels!...
I mean you just cant justify them as love at first sight and consequent actions!
And i dont even want to go towards behaviour of rivannah...i mean she was acting like a 13 year old who newly found what "crush" or "love" meant! I am still trying to figure whether the stranger wanted to make her a better person or make her better iaccording to his definition of "BETTER" , cause he did some really questionable stuff.
For example:you cant justify murder by saying: Oh i was just trying to teach you what death was!
I am utterly disappointed and this is my personal opinion, no offense to anyone who liked the end.
This deep disappointments comes from the fact that I was actually liking the book. It wasnt perfect but yet it had that element which made you want to read more. All it took was one chapter at the end to epically destroy the entire series for me.
Now I know the author has so much potential so I am going to forget I ever read this book and look forward to his next work and give one more chance before giving up on him, how I did for "Chetan Bhagat" centuries ago.

Good things first : It's the last book in the Stranger Trilogy and it's a sequel to awesome books called as 'Marry Me , Stranger' and 'Forget Me Not , Stranger' .
Excluding these two there is nothing , absolutely nothing good about this book . The things which made the first two instalments powerful , thrilling and captivating were it's pace , no nonsense (except in some parts of book two) and the Stranger . This book lacks all of these elements . The book is highly dragging till the nineteenth chapter and the situation in which incedences took place are highly repeatative , even in most of the parts incedences are very repetitive .
The character of Rivannah was looking like a fighting character in the first two instalments but in this one she appeared dumb and desperate . She is in a relationship , she had a slip with her ex and even after this she have a "school girl" crush on her senior at work and yes she also has something for the stranger , something between physical and emotional . She falls for almost every guy whom she meets . This character is the dumbest character I've ever read .
The character of the Stranger crumbles badly in this book and has only cameo appearances throughout the book . Book was more about desperation and dumbness of Rivannah and less about the stranger , but ironically the trilogy called as The Stranger Trilogy . It's batter the identity of the Stranger remains secret because if you find senseless logic behind what the Stranger does , you will hate him too .
Needless dragging intimate scenes are thrusted in entire book . Almost every chapter included atleast one scene , dialogue or quote referring to intimacy or showing direct initmacy .
Guess what could be the worst part of the book - a book ending a trilogy - THE CLIMAX . Yes , the climax is the worst part of not only the book but that of entire trilogy . I am a huge fan of the Batman and when I read the climax of this book I felt it is heavily inspired by the origin story of the Batman .
The most hotly anticipated book becomes - Sheer Disappointment .

I finished this book in 5 hours and I am kinda disappointed. I was expecting so much more. This trilogy is addictive, story is very intriguing, characters are neither good or bad. But the ending, i personally feel could have been way better. Still ill say its a must read. hats off again

How in the world one can end a beautiful story in such a pathetic way? Last year I started reading this stranger trilogy.The First book got me very interested.It was so beautifully enigmatic that I couldn't keep that book down until it was finished.second part was also the same,follwed by the third part.The story of rivannah banerjee's life was taking twists and turns. But when the end of the story was revealed, It was a huge disappointment.Because this poor ending had got all the previous parts in vain. #Disappointed

I still cannot believe that I am finished with the third and the last book of the Stranger trilogy. Everytime I finished one book, I used to desperately look forward to grab the next one and now sadly there will be no next one. Though I would not categorise Stranger trilogy as a nerve wrecking, nail biting and extraordinarily suspence story but it definitely has the kind of content which will keep you hooked once you start with it. During the course of reading the three books, you will feel that you have become part of the plot, the story, the characters, the incidents, its like all that is written in the book is happening in reality. But at the same time you will also feel good that nothing of this sort is true since I am sure you cannot imagine of living a life like that of Rivanah Banerjee.
The third book i.e. Forget Me Not, Stranger will finally reveal all the secrets that Rivanah has been running after. She would know the mystery behind Hiya’s death, how she is connected with Hiya’s death, what dark secrets her past holds, and most of all she would finally unmask the stranger.
In the third book you see Rivanah forgetting some of the major events of her past, losing every memory of Hiya Chowdhary, her parents hiding things from her and lot more. There are some new characters introduced in the story. Also, since the time Ekansh has re-entered her life, it has totally gone haywire. While Rivanah juggles between Ekansh and Danny, stranger again comes into the picture, demands her to make some hard choices only to help her know her worth. And Rivanah finally gets to know what her worth is. Stranger wants her to sort her so called love life, reach Hiya as soon as possible and clear all the mess that has been created. She hates the stranger, she is scared of him, she is helpless but she is not broken. This time she wants to end it all at once, not going to give up, she is adamant to know who this stranger is and what exactly he wants.
Forget Me Not, Stranger is written in a very simple and understandable language which is a plus point in all Novoneel Chakraborty’s books. As always he has maintained the crispness and curiosity for the readers. Though, I so wanted the book to have a happy ending, but obviously I am not watching a Yash Raj film (typical Bollywood lover me). But I can totally understand why it ended the way it did, I think somewhere it was justified. I specifically want to mention that I am happy to know who the stranger is and I am totally in love with him.
Now to talk about some lows, Forget Me Not, Stranger is interesting, not as much as the first two books of the trilogy. Don’t know why but author seemed a bit in a hurry to finish it up. Stranger revealed himself very easily and casually which was unexpected since there was so much mystery created around him.
To sum it all, read it because Oh My God it is gripping. And, I am all zipped up about stranger’s identity because I want you guys to read all three books and go through the curiosity I had gone through. Trust me, it is worth it.

This whole first week of May would be remembered for "The Stranger trilogy" written by Novoneel Chakraborty for me. It has been one of the best series I have ever read and enjoyed thoroughly. Novoneel has taken a drastic jump in his writing career and impressed his fans a lot with this one. The idea of dividing this story into 3 books has been an interesting one as it helped him gain few more readers while readers enjoyed thinking about who the stranger might be and what would happen next with the protagonist- Rivanah. Specifically, talking about the 3rd and the last book in the series named "Forget Me Not, Stranger", it has been written in a surprising synchronization with the first two books which makes it easy for you to read it in fast pace since the first page itself. I would specially like to appreciate author for not getting into the complex way of presenting this story as a trilogy. In fact, he made the story simpler for his readers with the help of distribution of it into 3 books. Kudos!
The first half of the book is interesting as you find Rivanah and Danny still in love and enjoying their relationship. Stranger is still troublesome for her and have now started to do more heinous activities with her. But he is now ready to reveal himself and meet her soon. This makes it a page-turner and you will find yourself finishing this book quite before than your average reading speed. The book explores the characters from old books quite nicely and the new characters also become familiar to you within few scenes itself. The involvement of Rivanah's parents in the mystery is also an added value as you know that something big is about to get disclosed in next few chapters.
This book is also narrated well keeping the same curiosity in the reader for knowing who the STRANGER is. But coming to the drawback of this book which is really a huge one:- The last chapter. Yes! The last chapter when the stranger is finally revealed just depresses like anything. You just can't introduce a new character in part 3 who has nothing to do with Rivanah in the first 2.5 books and announce him as Stranger for whom we waited since the first page of the first book. This whole concept of secret society in the end is not what we awaited for. Also how the character kept eye on Rivanah 24*7 and how he managed to run away each time after trapping her isn't explained which takes this book down quite a level indeed. I am very disappointed not with the author but with myself that I have not liked this book as much as the first 2 books because I seriously wanted to get crazy about this series. Anyways, Novoneel Chakraborty has emerged out to be a great writer with this one and there is no looking back after this. I give the last book in the series 3.5* out of 5.

I enjoyed how the author unfolded the story. The ending was unpredictable. It's like nothing I've read before, so special in its own way. In my opinion, this book is definitely worth ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars!

This is mainly a phycological fiction book. And third book of stranger triology . This is the story of a girl Rivanah Banerjee 23/F/Mumbai. Who does her Job in Mumbai, staying far away from her parents . And screwed up her love life. But Sha has a stangor who always follow her knows everything about her. And he wants to kill her. But why? and who is the stager? All the mysteries get solved in this book.
The main characters of the story area Rivanah Ekansh,Danny, Nivan. The Story ends wish a twistand it was emotional too. Personally I enjoyed the whole book. It is so thrilling and can't take breath until the last. It has leading to an intense,breathtaking,scary climax.
The writting style of the author is very rice. The language is very easy to understood - The plot is very strong. It talks about human mind, own worth, emotion, depression and all.
Minimum age to read this book is 15 years.

Mr Novoneel. From where did you get the LOL idea of so called emotional-surgeons.
All three book got completely destroyed by this one word. What a shame. for readers who have yet not read the novel do give this a miss and save your precious time to read something better instead.

I was kind of expecting this kind of end ..
I was somewhat knowing about Danny being the stranger ..
First two books were good but this book was not my cup of tea..
I am not all impressed with this story..

Part 1 and 2 were racy. Part 3 was good too except for the epic failure in the climax. I wish I never got to the last chapter.

The stranger series by Novoneel Chakraborty was something that really kept me glued to the book after a really long time. Honestly to me, the first book in the series was awesome. I just loved all the mystery and thrill that was woven in to it. Even though having a stalker in your life is the most creepiest thing ever, the way the stranger in the book was helping Rivannah and telling her to know her worth some where sounded reasonable to me. I didn't even write a review for the first two books as I wanted to end the series and talk.
Everything was in a good pace for me till I came to the middle of the third book. Honestly,there are certain aspects in 1&2 books which I personally didn't find reasonable at all but the thrill of finding out the stranger and the hope of getting answers in the last book kept me going. I was literally so happy to see something so mysterious and gripping work from an Indian author and as I read the last chapter my instant reaction was What the hell! It was not from amusement but from an utter disappointment. All the hype that the book created for me was totally useless. And to be honest I really didn't like the way Rivannah's character progressed. There were moments when I was totally irritated and frustrated by her character and whatever was written in her defense in the book just didn't do the justification to me in the third book. Overall the way the stranger was revealed in the book just broke my bubble and my expectations from the book. It was a complete disappointment but I really want to appreciate the author for his way of writing apart from that last chapter everything was extremely gripping and it kept me hooked to the plot. I also know there are people who loved the way the book ended but it kind of didn't associate to me.

I completed the series in a week. Mystery part was pretty addictive. The ending was quite a bummer. I could guess Nivan was the stranger for while but author got me out of loop for a while with Danny being a stranger.
I would have liked the stranger to be someone with an agenda not a "emotional surgeon" whatever that was.
Yeah I knew author was going for philosophical thing with the stranger but it didn't work. And I don't think Rivanah would have made a good stranger she was way to emotionally unpredictable, and acting in front of the parents and society is no big deal we all do it
Overall the mystery and thrill kept the story going but I had better expectations from it.
And author didnt have to kill off Nivan to show how " emotionally strong" Rivanah has become. I know heartbreak is necessary but love makes you stronger.

The novel which doesn't give sleep until you finish it, The way author portraits the stranger & moves the life of Rivanah is extraordinary even though ending is not as trustable a stranger is part of group and all over India that's not trustable but in the start from "Marry, me stranger" until now author makes me to think who would be stranger & what's the connection between rivanah and stranger, also said about women problem and how many problems they facing applauses for writing with social responsibilities, also some pages want to avoid because of adult contents I think Novoneel sir wants to consider this.
Atlast happy with knowing stranger and had a wonderful journey with stranger series.

It seemed like the author was trying to justify Rivannah's cheating more than once. I just cannot wrap my head around fhe fact that after knowing Rivannah's character how can Nivan claim to be in love with her!
I mean he saw her cheating, lying without reason, snatching job opportunity from Hiya. It simply doesn't make any sense that he'd be in love with her.
Does Rivannah's personally mean nothing and her physical appearance mean everything?

Lovveeeed the trilogy, thrilling, gripping narrative, the wonderful conclusion that managed to solve every piece of the puzzle put throughout the trilogy. Had a lot of twists and turns and I loved it a lot, brilliant writing and soo gripping story(at least in my perspective).

still cannot believe that I am finished with the third and the last book of the Stranger trilogy. Everytime I finished one book, I used to desperately look forward to grab the next one and now sadly there will be no next one. Though I would not categorise Stranger trilogy as a nerve wrecking, nail biting and extraordinarily suspence story but it definitely has the kind of content which will keep you hooked once you start with it. During the course of reading the three books, you will feel that you have become part of the plot, the story, the characters, the incidents, its like all that is written in the book is happening in reality. But at the same time you will also feel good that nothing of this sort is true since I am sure you cannot imagine of living a life like that of Rivanah Banerjee.
🍁🍁The third book i.e. Forget Me Not, Stranger will finally reveal all the secrets that Rivanah has been running after. She would know the mystery behind Hiya’s death, how she is connected with Hiya’s death, what dark secrets her past holds, and most of all she would finally unmask the stranger.
🍁🍁In the third book you see Rivanah forgetting some of the major events of her past, losing every memory of Hiya Chowdhary, her parents hiding things from her and lot more. There are some new characters introduced in the story. Also, since the time Ekansh has re-entered her life, it has totally gone haywire. While Rivanah juggles between Ekansh and Danny, stranger again comes into the picture, demands her to make some hard choices only to help her know her worth. And Rivanah finally gets to know what her worth is. Stranger wants her to sort her so called love life, reach Hiya as soon as possible and clear all the mess that has been created. She hates the stranger, she is scared of him, she is helpless but she is not broken. This time she wants to end it all at once, not going to give up, she is adamant to know who this stranger is and what exactly he wants.
🍁🍁Forget Me Not, Stranger is written in a very simple and understandable language which is a plus point in all Novoneel Chakraborty’s books. As always he has maintained the crispness and curiosity for the readers. Though, I so wanted the book to have a happy ending, but obviously I am not watching a Yash Raj film (typical Bollywood lover me). But I can totally understand why it ended the way it did, I think somewhere it was justified. I specifically want to mention that I am happy to know who the stranger is and I am totally in love with him.
🍁🍁Now to talk about some lows, Forget Me Not, Stranger is interesting, not as much as the first two books of the trilogy. Don’t know why but author seemed a bit in a hurry to finish it up. Stranger revealed himself very easily and casually which was unexpected since there was so much mystery created around him...
To sum it all, read it because Oh My God it is gripping. And, I am all zipped up about stranger’s identity because I want you guys to read all three books and go through the curiosity I had gone through. Trust me, it is worth it.

Whoa !! Whoa !! What A Googly .. Bowled you over
I have finished this book in one sitting just after finishing the 2nd Book leaving everything else and boy everything was Gripping, intriguing till last chapter and then the end happens completely blowing you away from the script … WTF !!!
Rivannah was looking like a fighting character in the first two instalments but in this one she appeared dumb and desperate. Authour making her falling for almost every guy whom she met making her one of the dumb character I've ever read.
The aura around Stranger crumbles and crumbles badly in this book. It would have been batter the identity of the Stranger remains secret because if you find senseless logic behind what the Stranger does, you will hate him too.
I found the climax is the worst part of not only the book but that of entire trilogy making one to forget the trill and excitement one has read the entire Trilogy.
The first half of the book is interesting as you find Rivanah is still in love and enjoying her relationship. Stranger is still troublesome for her and have now started to do more heinous activities with her. But he is now ready to reveal himself and meet her soon. This makes it a page-turner and you will find yourself finishing this book quite before than your average reading speed
The last chapter when the stranger is finally revealed just depresses like anything. You just can't introduce a new character in part 3 who has nothing to do with Rivanah in the first 2.5 books and announce him as Stranger for whom we waited since the first page of the first book. There are so many loose end left in the end leaving reader a bit frustrated.

I accidentally came across this series and chose to read since i wanted some lights reads. But it turned out to be something that kept me at the edge of my seat and glued to the pages till the end, and finished 3 books in 4 days, only to be disappointed by the end! When i read other community reviews also, i see that most of the others who read the book also have the same opinion.
There are a lot of good things in this series like the story line, how it is expressed, writing style, beautiful quotes etc. etc. but i felt there has been a decline in the quality of the story from books 1 to 3. There are unexpected twists and surprises in most of the pages in the 3rd book that i started becoming confused and felt like excitement was going down. As i reached half way through this book, i just wanted to know who the stranger is and put it away. The end came as the most disappointing one.. I mean there was no explanation or justification given on things that happened in other books; like how the stranger bugged Mini's flat; how he got all people's phone numbers; how strangers select people and hundred of such things.
The character development happened only for Mini and all others were just insignificant!. Also, sex was squeezed in at unwanted places and the girl gets turned on whenever she meets people! Oh God! Ekansh, one of the most irritating characters was bought back again and again and it frustrated me! And Danny! His behavior and character was totally upturned Why??!!! For Mini to love Nivan?? Also, the reason why the stranger was behind her 24* 7 to make her emotionally strong was just absurd! It could have ended a lot better.
I had almost been sure in last part of the second book itself that who the stranger might be. Anyway the book could have ended a lot lot better.

My favorite series from now on!!!
I felt maybe while reading this, I too learned something about myself !! And what a thriller it is!! Never made me get bored. A must-read.

so, the previous review I posted was immediately after reading all three books and suddenly finding out who the actual stranger was. but today, after 10 hrs when I sat back and thought about it, I realized I still had a lot of questions about the behavior of stranger and Rivanah! I mean, throughout the series, the stranger is portrayed as someone who deeply cares about mini and knows literally every single thing about her, not to mention present 24 hrs literally stalking her but at the same time, he seemed like a psycho who can go to any extent to prove he was correct and have to do whatever he says. I mean, he blackmails her and then says he loves her . and there is Rivanah, whose character just annoyed me so much I cannot tell you. the thoughts she had, the decisions she took, it was all as if a 14-year-old was behaving. I agree the book served the thriller genre, coz at every part we suspect one or the other , but justifying all of this at the end to be a secret society where the stranger stalks Rivanah for 24*7 and has his own life.
so, yes I think the story is flawed at some parts, but will I say it's not a 5 star read for me? no. it definitely is a book to read and I would recommend it to whoever asks me. the writing is impeccable!
