I breathe stories. I dream them. If it were possible, I'd eat them, too. (I'm pretty sure they'd taste like cotton candy.) I can't escape them - they're everywhere! Which is why I write! I was born to bring the crazy worlds and people in my mind to life, and I love sharing them with as many people as I can.

I'm also the bestselling, award winning, internationally acclaimed author of over sixty titles and counting. I write speculative fiction in multiple subgenres of romance and fantasy, contemporary fiction, books for both teens and adults, and just about anything else I feel like writing. The Door Part 2 is wickedly mind-blowing and incredibly breathtaking! This story had such huge potential to be epic in nature, and it delivered every bit of it and more. I couldn’t believe how incredibly imaginative and highly original the storyline ended up being! Undoubtedly, this is creative perfection at its finest. I was completely blown away by the massive twists and turns, and I enjoyed every minute of them. This is story that will live in your heart long after you read the last word.

Gianna made a huge mistake. The massive consequences of her actions shifted her world in a way she never expected. Trying to adjust was nearly impossible, but she was determined to prove that she wasn’t as worthless as the Caretaker before her claimed her to be. No matter what it took she was determined to work through her disastrous mistake to make things better somehow. The mounting questions were soon answered, and it gave her some courage to keep moving forward and do things far beyond her comfort zone. Along the way she discovered that there was so much more to her then she could have ever imagined. Will Gianna find herself falter when she is so close to accomplishing something that is much bigger than she ever imagined, or will she allow her fear and doubt to destroy everything and everyone she loves?

I truly fell in love with Gianna and Teyan. They were truly from two different worlds, but when would that ever stop a love as true and pure as the one they share? At her darkest hour, Teyan proved to be Gianna’s biggest cheerleader and encourager. Just by simply loving her from afar, he inspired so much confidence and hope in her. She could truly do anything as long as he was in her heart or standing next to her. The growth that we see Gianna experience throughout this story is so beautiful that it brought me to tears. To watch her break free from her cocoon of fear and despair to reveal the magnificent creature that dealt within was truly inspiring and spectacular.

This is the first book that I read by Lizzy Ford, and I was truly blown away by her outstanding literary talent! I didn’t know what to expect going in, but I was pleasantly surprised by her extraordinary creative mind. She is a brilliantly wondrous gem that you don’t want to miss out on. Do not allow yourself to miss out on something that should be savored and experience by all who wish to step out of their comfort zone and be thoroughly challenged.

That ending tho

I gave it three stars just for the ending. Other than that, the book kind of dragged in places, making it hard to stay interested. I started to skim 60% through. Gianna is still annoying. The Tili and the other five peoples were interesting. The concept of the book was good. It just needs a little work.

I am so amazed at how this author can make the second book as thrilling as her first ones. I mean book two has just as much excitement as book one if not more. I love how she can take us on these journeys and make us feel like we are implanted in the story. I always feel so absorbed in these worlds, that I can never seem to get enough.

When her world spun out of control in book one Gianna was devastated by what happened. She was scared and unsure of her future and those she cared for. In book two we learn what comes next for her.

Teyan and Gianna, their story is one of love and respect. Teyan so pre-judge perhaps even mis-judged by those who think they know him and his tribe. Gianna, so unsure of herself in book one, now comes into her own in book two. She knows exactly what and who she wants in book two and now she has almost no fear of letting that show. The whole caretaker thing, well although she was afraid of what would become of her and this position, she seems to fit perfectly or at least I think so. I love the twists and turns that come with this story and the different worlds that we are introduced to. The Rawerah <

This book picks up where book one ends. You need to read book one first.

Gianna had locked the door and now must begin to piece everything back together again. Teyan is gone. In fact, everyone is gone with the exception of Carey, but then he leaves to. She's got no one left to guide her. When she returns home to her mom, she finds that something is missing. She doesn't want to be in New York. She wants to be back at the home in Arizona.

She takes off with her mom for Arizona. It's there when she finally feels like she's where she's supposed to be. But then something happens and she must find Teyan to ask for help. Their reunion...swoon. I just love him. With him by her side, they embark on an adventure. They learn so much about one another and battle monsters while doing it. A lot is revealed to Gianna, and she has to work fast if she wants to save Earth.

This book was really good. My favorite parts were when Gianna was with Teyan. He grew on me so much in book one and this one affirmed how great he was. I was flipping the pages fast, waiting for the moments when they were alone. There was plenty of suspense in this story with a tale of love woven through.

First of all my apologies to Lizzy Ford because I am into reading arcs for her at this moment but after reading the Door part 1 I had to stray away from the arcs to read this book because I had to know what had happen to Gi and Teyan. Now on to the review for this book lol. I can't believe after everything that Gi went through she ended up right back to where she started, I thought that this book had a lot more action in it than the first one but if you strayed from the story line you would be lost as what was going on which I happen to like things like that rather it is in a book or in a movie, I believe things like that is what keeps a person interested. I am not going to put any spoilers in this review because for someone who hasn't read it needs to and they need to read the whole thing. I am just going to say that if you like the supernatural then you will like the Door part 1 and 2.

I enjoyed this book a lot. It picks up right where the first one leaves off with consequences of Gianna's actions for doing the one thing that was forbidden. The journey that this author took me on was one that non-stop action and had me hooked from beginning to end. I was not ready for the story to end. I wish there was another book with more of Gianna and Teyan in his world because I need more of them. I'll take a novella, just something to give me more of them because I love their characters. There were times I wanted to shake Gianna but she was young and still learning. I enjoyed this series and I think paranormal lovers will enjoy this story. I look forward to more books from this author.

The Door (Book 2) by Lizzy Ford is just an incredible continuation of the story that left you wondering what happened to Gianna and the Five Peoples in the first book. It seems by locking the door Gianna has made a change in time – 10 years to be exact. She is left to return home to her mother since she has become a missing person’s case with the passing of the decade. She is overwhelmed with the knowledge of all the years passed but still is concerned about the Five Peoples and what happened to them. Though you know she is more concerned what happened to Teyan and feels the need to find him. After some time home with her mother and trying to regain a semblance of self and her life she tells her mother she needs a break and wants to return to the area where the door is. They make the trip and come to find the house has been rebuilt – door and all. A letter is waiting for her – she is still the Caretaker of the house and all the land, estate, etc. has been left to her. Gianna’s mother is confused by all of this but excited to start a new chapter with the daughter she had thought to be lost for 10 years. The decision to stay is easy and they get started with settling in. Within a day or so of being there one of the Five Peoples show up and this Woli warrior informs Gianna they thought all the posts to be closed. She assures the visitor she is there to stay and to spread the word. Within the first few days Gianna comes to be visited by Carey again who tells her he is there to help train her in what she was not taught by the original Caretaker but he warns her to be weary because there seems to be trouble with the Council and he is not sure who to trust anymore. Gianna is torn between wanting to believe in Carey and being suspicious of him. With the sudden appearance of a supposed Council member and the disappearance of her mother in the same day Gianna is definitely suspecting something is really wrong. Two Tili warriors show up and tell her that Teyan has been waiting for her. He searched the first few years but never gave up on her. Carey tells her things are too suspicious with the Council member there and she should go to Teyan to seek his help to find her mother. With a crazy journey within the portals of the Five Worlds, a reunion of two who are possibly meant to be together despite the differences of worlds and the eye opening revelations of the monsters ravaging these worlds the story The Door keeps you on the edge of your seat and your head spinning to catch up to the truth. An astonishing journey with an even more startling end which just shows Lizzy Ford never disappoints.

The Door- Part 2

You never see it coming, and you will enjoy the journey of getting there.
I would not have guessed the level of romance involved in this story from the first book, but part two leaves no doubt, and does not detract from the adventure at all.
The story wraps up nicely and leaves you feeling satisfied if it ends here. Although it could easily continue given the nature of the plot, and that wouldn't be a bad thing either.
Editing it's good.

Gianna has locked the door and now learns of the consequences of her actions.
The first book was an introduction to Gianna's new world and the 5 peoples but this one expands on the their story through her eyes. All of the 5 peoples become much clearer in your mind, especially when you visit some in their home worlds, I loved the contrasts and how different they all were- from each other and the humans but in the end had similar goals. 10 years have passed, Gianna hasn't aged but the world around her has changed completely all from one act of anger and confusion.
I love Lizzy's writing, always have, but I have to say this was a little confusing, mainly because Gianna was confused and everything is explained through her. When the book opens time has passed since the door was locked so you have to get your head around that, and then you have to get your head around the time loop/time travel scenario. Time travel books are some of my favourite, but this took a few re-reads before it was completely clear in my head, that made it a little hard to concentrate on the story at times.
Although I liked Gianna as a character, there were times when she was so incredibly self absorbed that I wanted to strangle her, I think I gave her a pass because of her past and the fact that she was thrown into an extraordinary situation, but I was glad when she finally grew up a little, it made me like her a lot more. I liked her and Teyan as a pair, it was nice to see the man he'd grown into.
The end of the book left me completely unsure of the events which was probably the point, but rather than feeling like an ending, it kind of left me wanting more.

After having locked the door and learning there are extreme consequences, even though 10 years may not seem like a big consequence to everyone when Gianna herself didn't age, the unknown consequences are the ones she is most frightened of. The first book introduced us to the main characters and the premise of the story, but this one helps clarify a lot of the questions I had at the end of book 1. 10 years passed in the blink of an eye, but what she didn't expect was exactly what that would mean to the rest of the world and the 5 Peoples. For her, nothing changed, but as she learns, her actions have grave consequences and she'll lose more than 10 years of living with those she cares about.

I'll admit that this can be very confusing and how time loops are something most of us just won't quite grasp without reading this at least a second time. I think I spent more time trying to get my head around how it all worked rather than the story itself. Gianna's focus was primarily Teyan, but it wasn't like she didn't take an interest in the other Peoples, tribes as I like to think of them. I did really enjoy the contrasts of the different people and their worlds. You don't quite get that part in book 1. I actually thought it was time related or dimensional, but was even more than that.

At the end, she made the right choices, even if throughout you wondered if she would get there. I had to remind myself that she was still 19 at the end of the day and we all know teens/young adults are still pretty self-absorbed, even those who seem to have been unfairly treated for something that I consider self-defense. I liked the uniqueness of the story, in a time where I swear a lot of books are very similar in nature.

I really enjoyed these books. I am not sure if it is continuing it seemed to tie up everything at the end but I would be curious to see what else happens.
This book has its twists on it as well but you don't have any idea they are coming. I had no idea how it was going to play out. It was very interesting with what did happen though. Don't lock the door though, really just follow rules, they are there for a reason. Though it really did put into motion who was really bad and how this all came about in the first place. Almost put them in a alternate universe.
The characters were great and I really enjoyed that it was mostly on other planets so that we can get a feel of what was out there. I want a tomtom but the way. Those cats would be awesome. I am more of a dog person but that would be awesome to have that type of protection.
Highly suggest like always with Lizzy. Really great story, had emotion, fighting, and overall adventure.

This was such an exciting story that I re-read the book again. Lizzy Ford has a way of creating the most exciting characters that you get so caught up in their lives. This is a science fiction/love story about Gianna and Tegan. After locking "The Door" in part one, Gianna advances ten years in the future. She returns to a new and improved B&B as the Caretaker with her Mom. She realizes her world is in danger after her Mother and all of the other Caretakers are kidnapped and sent to another world. Gianna must find Tegan hoping, after a ten year lapse, that he will help her. The love story and adventure of saving her world develops, with amazing new characters, as they travel through time to make everything right. I got so caught up in all of the characters of this story, that my heart was pounding at times, and I actually cried. I did not want this story to end, and I wish it would continue into a part three!

I was looking forward to the continuation of this series, considering the cliff hanger from the first part, Lizzy did not disappoint. It was an emotional roller coaster, she took me on a journey with Gianna and in the end I could feel her heartbreak. I almost felt bad for Gianna with how the book ended (spoiler) with the old Caretaker returning and everything feeling like it was all a dream, but at least she got her man back and learned a few lessons along the way, hard ones at that. I must admit I had to re-read the whole timeline/time travel sections a couple times to understand the logistics of it all, very interesting concept and quite believable to think that (spoiler) humans were the cause of such destruction in not just our own world but many others. I'm curios to see how the series finishes, as this book left some open ends but also felt like it could be finished as well.

Part two picks up with Gianna going back to New York, having to answer questions as to where she's been for the past 10 years. For Gianna, it had been six months but for her family and the rest of the world, it had been 10 years. Tired of the media attention G and her mom head back to Arizona. What they find when they get there will surprise you!

This is an amazing sci-fi fantasy with a blossoming young romance running alongside. This two-part series has such an awesome story line. It grabbed me from the beginning and wouldn't let me go till the last page. I hope this author considers writing stories of other Caretakers in and out of this world.

"Topsy turvy, straight to curvy, round about and inside out" I can't, for the life of me, remember where this quote came from (maybe Alice in Wonderland) but, it so perfectly describes this book!! This book is full of so many twists and turns that it will leave you with your head spinning. It's a good thing! A book that will make you think and question and go back to read again...

Love, trust, courage, strength...a love so strong it transcends time and place. It was emotional and kind of left me a bit floored. This is a book that will make you go back and read it again after you've just finished it just to get a better grasp of everything that happens.

I'm truly amazed by the imagination in this book, it's very visual. I loved it.

Good conclusion

Ok, so I didn't see that coming and to be honest, was a little confused by the science involved. However, my favorite part was when she traveled through the portal and got to see the way some of the Five Peoples lived. It was both interesting and baffling. After learning their history, I'm still a little unclear on how evolution could have evolved to the degree where the Tili's skin changed color, but the magic involved with the portals should have just clued me into just going with the flow. How Gianna wasn't completely nuts after all that is as much a mystery as what she went through.

This is definitely one where logic gets pushed to the side and your adventurous side must lead.

Couldn't put it down.

I've read many Lizzy Ford books and by far hands down no doubt about it this is the best sequel ever. Book 1 is amazing and I immediately got book 2. I love how the story picks up within 6 months after what happens in book 1. The story picks right up and gets going again except this time it's even more exciting as Gianna now gets to travel to the different worlds. It's also a good old fashioned mystery she has to figure out combined with sci-fi of dimensional worlds she has to save. All while trying to maintain a blossoming romance with Teyan. And being with the responsibility of keeping her mom safe. I loved these 2 books and wish there were more coming.

I really loved this book. Gianna discovers her strength and really finds out hoe important she is. She finally accepts her past for what it is and realizes where she wants her future to be. I love how the love story unfolds. The very thought that love can transcend time and space is beautiful. I like the idea that love conquers all. Gianna and Teyan are destined to be together and nothing will stop them from finding each other. Lizzy does an amazing job with telling s story that draws you in. I cried, felt sad, got angry and laughed. That's a great book because it draws out your emotions. I hope their story continues. I highly recommend this book. It's so good.

I received an arc copy for an honest review.

I loved these books. They were very well written and the characters came alive for me. I had zero difficulty seeing what I was reading in my mind. Lol. That being said; the reason I gave this one 4 stars instead of 5 is because I feel like there were more questions to be answered at the end and it only halfway explained things in the wrap up. It left my head spinning for sure. I think there should definitely be a part 3! And I would so love to read it!

This book left me with renewed visions of second chances, fate, and how the actions of one person can save or destroy the world.
Gianna as the new Caretaker who had locked the door now has to find out what the damages of her locking the door will be. Will the portals ever open again? Will she ever see Teyan again? Did it destroy any of the other worlds? And can she fix the damage that she did when locking the door in anger?

Mind-blown! This is seriously epic. I would never ever have guessed how this book was going to end but I absolutely love it. The author has completely outdone herself with this series. I rarely re-read books, but this one is a keeper for sure. There's so much that can be said but I can't say anything without taking away from how epic this book is. If you love space travel and romance novels, this will not disappoint.

Excellent conclusion! The Door Part Two had lots of adventure, a girl coming into her own, and a love story all rolled into one. Gianna learns to trust herself and accept her choices in this second installment. Teyan is less reserved and his steady love and kindness do wonders for Gianna. The adventure to another world is interesting and the action is pretty continuous. I really enjoyed this quick read!

ARC kindly provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

What can I say? Gianna was kind of difficult to stomach. Any time the story didn't include Teyan and I was left to only read about Gianna, I nearly lost it. I had to constantly remind myself that she was technically a teenager, so her sometimes selfish, bratty thoughts were characteristic of someone her age. Texan was great, though! A real saving grace :-)
