Emily and Pegasus face their greatest challenge yet when they venture back to Earth to save a friend in this sixth and final book of an exciting series that puts a modern thrill into ancient mythology.
After the events in Hawaii, Emily is contending with diminished powers, a new body, and the fact that she has to teach the Titan Lorin how to use her own powers. To make matters worse, Joel has been acting strangely towards her ever since she changed, and it’s all become too much.
However, Emily has one last promise to fulfill, one she made a long time ago: to save Agent B from the secret government agency called the CRU. But when Emily, Pegasus, Joel, and Paelen arrive in London, they discover that Agent B has been captured by the CRU and the only way to free him is for Emily and Lorin to surrender.
As Emily and her friends delve deeper into the CRU’s history, horrible discoveries are made. Not only about the victims the powerful agency has been trapping and abusing for centuries, but about the very origins of the secret agency itself.
Kate O'Hearn was born in Toronto Canada, but raised in the heart of New York City and has lived in many places throughout her life. These days, she calls the south coast of England home. She has 3 brothers, no sisters and is passionate about animals and their causes and has many animal friends. (Pets)
Over the course of her life she has had several careers before finding her real love, writing children's books. Being the only girl in family of boys, she grew up a true tom-boy and always loved books with high adventure. But one of the problems she discovered was a lack of female leads in these adventure books.
When she started to write, Kate decided to address this imbalance and now writes high fantasy adventures with strong, compassionate and adventure loving girl heroes. There are plenty of boys in the story to keep it interesting and challenging, but she believes that a girl hero can be as brave, strong and adventurous as a boy.
I am a huge fan of the Pegasus series. I am an equestrian so horses (including pegasi) are my life. This series hooked me in with the first book and then kept me in for the next three (2-4). However they kind of lost me at books 5 and 6. I wasn't a big fan of book 5 but I was still dying for book 6 to come out (I had to wait a year or so). I was so exited because I knew the title was The End of Olympus, I mean how intriguing. I didn't love the 6th edition of Pegasus because for me it was slow. I like fast-paced, action-packed books (like the first four) so it was just a little bland. Also, it just wasn't interesting. Being the "end of Olympus" it was more of a conclusion turned in to a book. That being said, I did like this book. I love the characters in this book and I just love Pegasus. Another negative for me, Emily's character development. Emily used to be on my top 5 favorite character list until the 5 book had to come along and ruin it. I loved Emily until she had to change into a half-Diana-half-Emily morphed human/Xan (read the book and you'll understand). She completely changed the way she looked and it ruined her amazing powers. That kind of ruined her for me. Well, any way, okay finisher of this series. Definitely worth reading just to finish the series.
Waited sooo long to read this and I am completely astonished at how wonderful this book was and stunned at the ending and just never wanted it to end!! This book and this series is the best you will ever read!! This book had me so into it and I spent the whole day with this one..Wish these could be made forever! There will never be another book as good as these.
So our friends Emily and Pegs (Pegasus) travel to London to save agent B. It turns out to be more complicated than that! Paelen and Joel have been ignoring Emily because she has a different body and just doesn't look like herself anymore. She finds out from a pool of a muse's that agent B is locked in a CRU super facility and is being tortured along with Stella, Frankie, and Earl! Now how did this happen? No one was supposed to know about the other time line. The only way to find out was to travel there and rescue her old friends...and to find out what the heck was going on...
Paelen, Vulcan,Lorin, Chyrsaor, and Joel soon learn that Emily,Cupid, Pegs, and Arious Minor have gone to London. They set out to find Emily and make it up to her.
Following this is shocking revelations!! (SPOILERS AHEAD!! DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE BOOK!!)
The Cru is controlled by the titans that Emily burnt up in the other timeline, as they could not be destroyed and fled to earth to create the cru and recruit the agents to work for them without knowing it. This was the huge mistake Emily made back in time. She should have never hurt a Titan, but it was too late to go back now. Emily and her friends get sprung from Cru prison at Charing Cross Station, only to get stuck in an elevator and have to confront the evil, blob like malformed Titans. They were terrifying!! Emily was swallowed by one, but had a ring that would take her to Riza on another planet where she was saving Rheans and transporting them to Xanadu.
When Paelen and the others arrive, they are too stuck in the elevator..Lorin realizes she is dying and says a very tear filled goodbye to her Beloved Paelen. (Soo,soooooo sad!!) Lorin sacrifices herself to the Titans for him to escape. Paelen is heartbroken.
The Mutants swallow more power and eventually make it to a battle in Olympus with Emily and her friends and Riza. The whole Team Pegasus is reunited, and all of destroyed Olympus tries to stop them to no avail....Emily sacrifices herself and turns the solar stream on Olympus, after all of her friends are on Titus. She now has full power of the Xan, and has decided to become one forever.
All of her dear friends now reside on Titus, with Jupiter as leader. Emily can finally understand Pegasus!!!! They ride off into the skies towards Titus Together in joy, Emily having saved everyone she loved and now going to do everything the Xan did and live on Xanadu with Riza and Pegs..
Oh man, such a good book and so many of the scenes and outcomes going in my head! this review does not even come close to doing this epic ending justice. I just have to say I have lived this whole series immensely and am sad to see my favorite books ever go....
I give it 5 stars, and would give it all the stars in the universe if I could. Best Book Ever! :) I hope she continues the series in a second arc..that would be a dream come true. Bye!
I really really liked this series. It wasn't hard to read or follow, but kept your attention. The characters have been well developed over the series. I didn't like Lorin overly much but she did redeem herself, I feel her love interest was a bit rushed. She like, instantly fell for Paelen and while I'm glad he found someone ('cause he's an awesome lil' thief even if he insists he's not a thief). Attraction at fist sight is good but I felt a little thrown back by their sudden love. I really loved Emily and Joel's slow burn romance even if it had me a little frustrated. I must admit when I read the Diana and Steve were together I had a little fangirl moment just...yes.
In the Fight for Olympus, there was a part that made me cringe and feel uncomfortable; when Paelen and the others are trying to convince Cupid to charm the CRU agents to which Cupid is like, 'no no, I do not charm boys, only girls.' He'd already stated that he didn't want to charm them because they would be completely destroyed in their minds and consumed by him in their thoughts. As a questioning queer at the time I read this, it made me incredibly uncomfortable. I hope this wasn't your intention but please, for later use, don't do that. It sucks when you're queer and read something like that.
I really love Stella and her relationship with Vulcan, very sweet and fitting. I like how you had Stella disabled as it showed that you don't have to be fully body-able to, well, kick ass. Stella is awesome and can hold her own and yeah. I love her. I feel like the possibility of her being healed by Emily could have been touched on little more. It's nice to show that you can hold your own when you're disabled and that it wasn't really necessary to fix and I support that I just thought maybe Em would bring it up. Though it was kind of touched at when in The End of Olympus Em mentioned that she couldn't heal Vulcan's deformed legs so maybe it's too old of an injury.
So this turned out way longer than expected and I apologize for that and yeah. Great books, recommend them and I'll stop talking now! XX

Loved the start of this series, but the ending was the worst. It was like the author had such a good idea at the beginning and then didn’t know how to follow through.
This book was one of the worst endings to series that I have ever read. In the middle of the fifth book the plot takes a turn into wrongness, and this book was just so much worse. The climax of the book was about five ish pages long, which is something I hate in books, when it is a very short climax. Also, the ending is a very squeaky clean ending, and everything turned out fine. All of our main cast got out fine, and only one person died, and that was a character who was clearly there for the soul purpose of dying. Altogether a terrible ending to a promising beginning of a series.

This book and its entire series are amazing. I’m surprised that these books aren’t a lot more popular. Also Emily and Pegasus at the end are so freaking cute. Same with Emily and Joel throughout the entire second half. Overall I really enjoyed this book and the whole series and I’m glad there was a happy ending.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I CANNOT MOVE AT ALL LIKE WHY LIKE WHY WOULD IT END THERE KATE O' HEARN LIKE IF YOU READ THIS PLEASE WRITE MORE...... ACTUALLY I AM GONNA WRITE A FANFIC/EPILOUGE
So let me get this out before I continue with my review. I read the first of these books at 10yrs old. I'm now 16, so that was a good 6 years ago. I loved the books back then, but as you might be able to tell by my following review, it's not so great for 16-year-olds. Definitely recommend for younger readers though! First off, I have had big gaps between books, as I had to wait for them to be published and other various things like school and other books. In between this book and the 5th book I read many books. While I thoroughly enjoyed the 5th book, this one seemed... flat. The writing style was unpolished, with a few spelling errors (my pet peeve). The style was very basic and simple, nothing like some of the amazing authors I have been dedicating much of my reading to lately. It just seemed "babyish" (can't think of a better word). As I mentioned before this book is probably aimed at younger kids. It just seemed rushed and not very well thought through. Going from some really twisted, unpredictable plot lines to this was a shock. I could guess everything that was going to happen and it was very predictable. The plot was easy to see miles out and of course, there was a slight twist in the ending which didn't actually make any sense, nor did it fit into the storyline very well. It seemed a bit weird, yes it threw me, but I knew that everything would end happily ever after. The plot throughout the book was actually usually engaging, not that anything happened. It was fast paced and I felt like something cool would happen. So I'll give O'Hearn that - her writing style drew me in and kept me waiting for more, which kept the pages turning. I was disappointed, but it was a page-turner. The characters were likeable though. No matter how shallow, they were relatable and amusing. I thought it was a bit sad that previously important characters like Diana, the Big 3 and Alexis were not visited so much in this book but they wouldn't have worked with the storyline so that's understandable. Emily was useless and predictable but that's okay, I can relate. Joel provoked anger and Paelen made me annoyed, but that's a sign of good character development etc. As always, Pegasus was my favourite. I love the idea behind these stories, it's creative and unique. However this book has ruined a series I so whole-heartedly loved as a child, but that's purely because they aren't aimed at my age. I have loved the other books in this series, and I recommend them to any younger readers as they are so worth it. After 6 years, goodbye Pegasus, Emily, Paelen, Joel, Agent B and all the others. Thanks for making this series the beautiful creation it was. Usque ad proximum tempus, vale <3
Some series do well as they go on, but I feel like this one got lost the longer she stretched it out. I didn't really like the ending.
Emily is adjusting to life with a body again. She's training with Diana in hand-to-hand combat since she now has limited powers. Her new and perfect appearance is hard to accept. Joel is also basically ignoring her and Paelen is busy with Lorin all the time.
Then Emily learns that Agent B, Frankie, Earl, and Stella are all being held captive by the CRU in London. She sneaks off with Pegasus and Cupid to try and free them. Tom, feeling like he allowed her to go into danger unprepared, tells Joel, Vulcan, and Paelen where Emily went. Joel and Paelen are upset at being left behind, but they all go after her. Lorin insists on tagging along too. (I don't like her which made later events just fine with me).
Emily, Cupid, and Pegasus were indeed captured, but Cupid told the CRU that Emily was dead (she looks completely different, remember) and calls her Psyche. Emily feels an unnamed evil in the facility and during an escape attempt, they find out exactly what that is.
Apparently, back in the different timeline, Emily vaporized some Titans. But she didn't kill them and they've been hiding underground for centuries, waiting to get revenge on Emily. The CRU were created by them and have been their unknowing slaves. [I don't remember the book AT ALL with the different timeline].
So these freaky Titan-blob monsters are trying to gain Emily's powers to free themselves. They end up eating Lorin instead, which is bad only because now they can escape. I so don't care and am a little glad that she's gone. Freaky monsters are now free and are on their way to Olympus to eat the Olympians, gain their powers, and then move on to Titus. Yeah, seriously bad.
Emily goes to Titus to enlist the help of Saturn and his brothers. The thought is that if they join with the Big Three, they will have enough power to defeat the freaky Titans. No such luck. The monsters have consumed too much power. So the only solution is for Emily to change into full Xan. Yeah, Yird (Riza's dad), but his full power into Emily, but didn't tell her. She broke through to some of the powers in helping Riza transport a planet, but has one more "door" before becoming Xan.
This is where I get annoyed. Stop changing Emily. When she was just energy, I was bummed because, duh, you can't get married to a human (Joel) if you're just energy. Then she was essentially an Olympian, and it was more okay. Joel was practically immortal too. But as a Xan? I'm sorry. No. And I really wanted them to end up together.
Oh, and Olympus gets destroyed. To destroy the monster Titans, Riza turns the Solar Stream on Olympus (with everyone and everything off and to Titus first).
Not the greatest ending. An okay series that was interesting at first and not terrible. I wouldn't recommend necessarily, but it's fine.

This book was an improvement from the last one but not as good as the first four.
The ending was probably as good as it could be considering the events of the last book. I would maybe have liked an epilogue of about one month later to see how everyone was doing. It felt a little underwhelming to not even see some of my favourites in the last scenes.
*Spoilers ahead*
The plot of this book was fun. It lead on nicely from book 4. It included an adventure/rescue mission to earth which were my favourite parts of the series as a whole. We also got to visit Olympus, Titus and Xanadu again which was nice for a wrap up.
The overall conclusion seemed a little simple and obvious though but this is a kids book so that's not the books fault, it's the fact I'm a 20 year old so won't get the same experience as the target audience. I started reading this series at 15 though and have never found the plot juvenile until these last 2 books. That may also be a me thing as this was the first series I properly read so had nothing to compare it to. Now that I have read complex adult fantasies it's going to seem different. I may have to re-read the first few books, to see if I still feel the same as I did before or whether the last two books really do just get more child orientated.
Okay so the characters: Emily I still love and I think she has grown so much. She's able to make the tough decisions and always puts others first. She could do with being a little more stern and upfront with her friends (Joel mostly) sometimes, but she has always been a dear character to me.
Similar with Paelen, the cheeky loveable rogue has always been my favourite. I would have liked to have seen him have more banter with Cupid in this book since that was a great part of book two but they barely interacted.
Cupid has grown as a character so much. He's so brave and willing to fight now. Great character development there.
Joel was still being an idiot at the start of this book like he was at the end of the last. I'm glad he acknowledged his stupidity and got over it. I do like him an Emily together, so I'm glad when he had to step up and help her he made the right decision.
Now Lorin, on the other hand, I utterly despise. Like Umbridge level despise. All she did was whine and claim people belonged to her and threw a tantrum. She was such a brat. Why did Paelen like her and feel bad for letting her go with them? She manipulated and blackmailed her way to Earth so I have no sympathy for her. Even though she sacrificed herself for the team I still can't stand her. She broke up the trio at the start and I can't have that.
Overall, this series will always be dear to me. It got me into reading. The Roman mythology and normal world mix is so exciting and fun. But for me this series ended at book four. (Mainly to erase Lorin's existence)
Pegasus and the End of Olympus By Kate O'Hearn Review by Skyler Ainscough The book I read is Pegasus The End of Olympus by Kate O’Hearn. The main characters in the book are Emily, Pegasus, Joel, Paelen, and Riza. Emily learns that her friends have been by the CRU and she must go to London to rescue them. To complete the plan for rescue, Emily helps to destroy Olympus, kill two mutant Titans, and Emily becomes a Xan. The theme of the book is bravery. Several characters must be brave for the mission to succeed. During the second mission to save the prisoners, Lorin sacrificed herself (the mutant Titans take her power and kill her) in exchange for the mutant Titans letting her friends go free. Emily became a Xan (before she was sure she wanted to) with great powers to trap the mutant Titans and focused the Solar Stream on Olympus to destroy it. This saved many people. The Titans, who lived on planet Titus, were brave to let the Olympians come live on their planet. The Titans and Olympians had been enemies forever and so it was brave to let them come live on their planet after Olympus was destroyed. I liked this book because the Solar Stream connects the planets providing a super fast way to travel. I would like to move faster than the speed of light like you can in the Solar Stream. I also like the many different species of life described in the book. For example, the Xan species is very powerful and keep the universe in balance. Emily is special and was made into a Xan but she wasn’t born as a Xan.
The book starts out with Emily and those around her trying to adapt to the aftermath of the 5th book. Emily doesn’t even feel like herself anymore. Not only does she struggle to find herself, but she struggles to connect with her friends as before. Riza is far away, Joel is avoiding her, and Paelen is busy with his new girlfriend. This all feels very relatable without being over-the-top.
Of course, her loyal Pegasus is still with her. It seems like he’s her guardian. Her father, Tom, and Alexis are there to support her too. I wish they had been able to play a larger role in the book, actually.
What was lurking beneath the CRU headquarters was shocking. It made the whole rest of the book into a river of suspense.
Overall, I feel this book wraps things up well and sets the stage for the Titans series which follows after it. We see Emily, Paelen, Joel, and the Titan + Olympians have many important insights about life and friendship.
A few thoughts on the ending:
I look forward to reading more books by this author in the future.
I had some mixed feelings about finishing the series (though most of the feelings were good). I really liked the world, but on a couple of occasions I didn't feel like I had a complete handle on how things worked. Maybe it was because I was reading so fast so that I could find out what happened next (which is a good thing--I liked the quick pace of the story). Certain explanations/resolutions of a couple of plot points were kind of convenient. Nitpicks aside I would definitely recommend this series. I liked the mixture of mythology and creativity in the story. There was enough mythology to seem familiar with some great original ideas to keep it from feeling like something that had been told before. When it came down to it, Emily knew that she had a great team she could count on for help. I liked Emily as a character because she was kind, selfless, and brave. I really enjoyed the journey with Emily, Pegasus, her friends and family!
I did enjoy the end of this series, though I do see how it can be parlayed into her Titans series.
A couple of thoughts on it, the ultimate resolution to the conflict seems very...feminine in nature. I don't mean that in a bad way, simply that I would imagine that a male writer would have chosen a different path to the resolution.
I was also slightly disappointed that it seemed that Kate O'Hearn had some ideas of which way to take the plot, but ultimately dropped them. For example, the identity of the foes is discussed as providing a clue to their defeat. Yet, once this is discovered, it simply up being inconsequential in the scheme of things.
When you consider that this is the end of Emily's story, it also seems a bit of a cheat to simply imply a denouement, rather than to provide actual prose detailing it.
Otherwise, this was a fun series. I will probably give her Titans series a read through when it is completed.
No spoilers! This book is genuinely one of the BEST books I have read. I love that it isn’t too romantic, yet there is still love. I was so unprepared for what I was going to read when I started this book. I started reading the series and finished it in 3rd grade and reread it every year up until 7th grade. I have read this book more than the other because it is just so so good. It sets the perfect mood, and I always will cherish this book. I’m a freshman in high school now, and anytime someone asks me my favorite book, this one still comes to mind. I love this whole series, and it made such an imprint on my life, but this is by far the best one. I actually cried when it was over, not because I was sad about the ending, but because I didn’t want the book to be done. I love reading and escaping from the world, but I have not found any book that has allowed me too escape like this one. MUST READ!!!!!
Ich liebe diese Reihe. Ich liebe es wie die Autorin die Mythologie in der heutige Zeit umgesetzt hat. Ich liebe die Welten, die Charaktere und die ganzen Nebengeschichten. Egal was die anderen sagen.

When I was younger, I adored this series. I would read the books over and over in case I missed something and fantasize about having my own pegasus. A few things annoyed me though when I was older. For starters, Joel acted as if everything on the outside mattered more than what's on the inside. And I know he's young, but still. After 5 books, you'd think he's love Emily no matter what. Secondly, Paelen. Why didn't Paelen and Emily end up together? They were so sweet together. Emily and Joel just didn't have a spark, at least that's my opinion:) Lastly, I hated Lorin. She was just so selfish and whiny and just plain annoying. And none of them put her in her place. Just annoying. Anyway, those are pretty much my only complaints for this series. Otherwise, these books are very well written and highly imaginative.
