When Cal suddenly disappears, his friends don't know what to think. Have the paparazzi driven him away, or will the truth prove to be far more sinister? Will they find him before it's too late?
The clock is ticking. Any second could be his last.
Callum Ormond has been warned. He has 30 days. The countdown has begun...
Gabrielle Craig Lord is an Australian writer who has been described as Australia's first lady of crime.
She survived being ‘razed’ by the nuns, acquired an education despite this, and after working in many different areas, sales, teaching, brick-cleaning, peach-picking and packing, and in the Public Service as an employment officer, started writing seriously aged 30.
Her first two manuscripts ended up composting the tomatoes at her market garden – another attempt to make a living – but the third one FORTRESS was picked up internationally and made into a feature film starring Rachel Ward. A later novel WHIPPING BOY was made into a telemovie starring Sigrid Thornton. The film rights money, coinciding with her daughter leaving school, allowed Gabrielle to resign and instead of getting up at 4.30am and writing for several hours before heading off for work, she could write full-time and lead a more ‘normal’ writer’s life – hanging around with scientists and detectives, badgering forensic anthropologists (she studied some Anatomy at Sydney university) and doing work experience with a busy private security business and of course, writing.
Research is everything, she says. ‘Out of my contacts with experts (who are always far too modest to describe themselves that way) I get not only the fine-tuning necessary for today’s savvy readers, but also wonderful incidents and images that enrich and enlarge my books.’
Gabrielle’s interests are very simple. ‘After a misspent youth, I don’t have many brain cells left so I enjoy walking, meditation, singing, gardening, chatting with close friends, being with my family and grandkids, feeding my goldfish and keeping up to date with bodywork and enlightened psychotherapy.’
Gabrielle has now written fourteen adult novels and a novel for young adults. Once the 12 books of Conspiracy 365 are completed, this tally will be a tad bigger! Following this mammoth endeavour she already has plans for another three adult novels and two more YAs. 2013
This book wasn't anywhere in our county library system and had to be gotten from another county. I was so crazy to read it that I read its reviews before I got it. People said that this book was overkill and that Ms. Lord should have left the Conspiracy 365 series as it was with 12 books. I disagree. I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It was not a stand-alone book and a reader who hasn't read the Conspiracy series would be saying, "Huh?" This book was written in first person from POV of Boges, Cal's best friend and staunch supporter. I didn't find that odd either, although some complained about that too. This book also answered the question that I had that was never answered in the 12 books, although I guessed at the answer midway through the series. It was another easy read book packed with adventure and action. All in all, if you have read the Conspiracy 365 twelve books, then you must read this one! I'd like to rate it a 4.5.
This one is a decent follow up to the series and shows you really can't be sure the bad guys are done with you. I liked how they all banded together to find Cal and save the day once again.
A great addition to the Conspiracy 365 series. I loved the fact that it was from Boges perspective. I also love the fact that Ryan and his mom have been welcomed by Cal's family. Some surprising twists and turns make for yet another exciting page-turner. I sure hope Gabrielle Lord has another series in the works. Not more Cal novels, but something else of a similar nature. This is such a great series for kids of all ages. As a children's librarian I have given this to many young boys that are not the greatest fans of reading, every single one of them has come back and told me how awesome it is and they just can't wait to get the next one.
I read all of these in 4th grade..... Best books ever for the time! They did get predictable but you still didn't know what was coming. It was easy to get emotionally attached to these books. I remember when I finished August I was shaking it was so good. Recently in 6th grade Revenge came out, and I grabbed the book before my friend could get to it! I think the series came out as movies, but they aired in australia so I have yet to see them. I recommend this book to young readers, or older kids looking for an easy book to read.
In the last book of the conspiracy 365 series, I learned that if you are a wanted criminal, or so the media is concerned . You will probably be still hunted down like a wild animal. In this book Calum gets drugged and then taken back to a storage place underground where he is to die a slow and painful death via poison. His friends must track down clues and evidence to find where his is being held to his death. After they get him out they live a little more normal lives than calum has in the last year.
Overall rating - 3.4
after cals brushes with death and escaping the law he has become famous but one night he finds a note on his pillow 30 days is what it says shocked cal goes outside to find a car parked beside the road then he blacks out. it's a good book and i recommend to people who read december
I'm sorry, but why was this necessary? The series was already dragged out for twelve incredibly dull books when it could have been condensed into one, probably two books. It didn't need this. The mysteries have been solved. The DMOs are over. Cal is back home and safe. Do we really need characters coming back from the "dead" to avenge things that we put to rest in December? The answer is a very strong no.
I have to say that Boges' perspective was a breath of fresh air though - well, at least at first. I said from the get go that I would have rather read a series from his view than Cal's, but as the story went along I did find that you couldn't really differentiate the two perspectives that much at all. Boges sounded just like Cal did in the previous twelve books!
The plot was, once again, completely and utterly unbelievable. This time we get Boges creating his own nanotechnology from home (how could he possibly afford the equipment to create such gadgets and where we he get them from!?) and forensic clues that are awfully specific. I mean, soil samples that happen to have quite rare flowers in them that are specific only to a particular area? If only you would be so lucky to get such clues in real life. Crimes would be solved in a jiffy! Sigh. I certainly didn't miss the lack of reality in these books.
I am getting down to the very last few books in the series though so hallelujah! What else can they really do anyway...? I cannot wait to get this over with.
Ooh. This one came out two years later...exciting!! This IS the sequel to December, it just takes place a year later. Oh year, CALLED IT on Melba Snipe being Repro's Mom.
*while reading* Cal's been captured AND poisoned!! I'm getting the sick fic I wanted!! This is so exciting!! Nice to hear the story from Boges' perspective.
I don't know why, but sometimes a story is more intense when you DON'T see what happens. MAJOR adrenaline rush/maternal instinct kick in for this one, simply because it WASN'T from Cal's perspective and I had to watch stuff happen TO him, and also got to see Winter flip out over Cal's ALMOST death.
A bit unrealistic with Sligo quickly coming out of the coma. Not sure about the whole "long-lost cousin" bit either. It worked, but it felt a bit added in last minute. Oh yeah, Boges and Cal flying a chopper with VERY little experience was unrealistic too, but it's basically a kid's action movie.
I freaking LOVE this series! April, May, August, and the beginning of September were my favorites. Will DEFINITELY re-read this series.

Book 13 - don’t bother. Feels like an afterthought & because people wanted more. Not good. A few answers to things came up (which I suspected), but about it.
Prologue & last 12 books are in the first person with Cal telling the story. It takes a bit to realize that it is now Boges writing. Boges doesn’t feel like himself - written more like it was Cal again...
I enjoyed this story. I was feeling so bad for Cal to have this happen so soon after his last adventure. I so hope Boges has better luck than what he seems to currently be having. Giving up so much for a friend is so hard. Cal and Winter better appreciate him.
This is for higher end Tween to Teen readers. Lots of action.
I rated this book five stars because it was really exciting because it was from my favorite character's perspective. My favorite part is when Boges jumped on the bloody bomb. You should read this book if you like conspiracy 365.

There was nothing in this book that let me put it down. Had to finish it in one reading. Really loved to see Cal and his friends again. It was a nice addition to the collection. Really enjoyed reading it.
I am very glad that this series continued after the months because I absolutely love this. More deadlines, more tension, more unknown in this book and it is very interesting and never fails to keep me entertained. I recommend to anyone.
I remember being beyond excited for this to come out when I was young… and then just disappointed bc it didn’t hit at all like the original series. But I still enjoyed it, just not to the level I anticipated.
I couldn't finish this book. I've read all 12 of the books in the main series, and this spinoff is just not doing anything for me. It's in Boges' point of view and nothing has happened in the first half of the book. I just can't read this anymore.
The book conspiracy 365 revenge written by Gabrielle Lord is a sequel to Conspiracy 365 and other conspiracy books in the series. It follows on to where the action packed conspiracy 365 left of with Cal Ormond finally back with his family and friends after 365 days on the run. The novel starts of when one night; Cal Ormond receives a mysterious message displaying the title 30 days. It brings back fear from the past as he doesn’t know whether it is a real warning or a hoax. He suddenly goes missing and this is where the book starts to kick in. The novel is an action packed story with added suspense making you want to keep reading and not put the book down. The story is told from a few points of view, starting from Cal then going to his friends which could be confusing at times but gave you a different perspective on what was happening. It’s appealing for younger audience as there is fictional, dangerous events and solid and real characters that you can relate to. The characters also seem above the normal teenager and someone a primary school kid would idolise and want to be like; someone who is popular and has many friends, has all the latest gear, and does abnormal, important activities. The book provides great strength of friendship, loyalty and adventure where the reader can bury their heads into and feel, and move around in their world. The book provides a very good picture in my head normally meaning the author has done a great job of creating and describing a scene. The font of the book adds an important feel towards it; like you’re reading a mission brief you have been commanded to do which is connected to the theme of the story. There is a real mystery feel in the book as you don’t know what is going to happen with twists and turns occurring throughout. At the start of the story; as I have not read any other the previous books in the series, everything was a bit confusing and I didn’t totally understand what was going on which could also be because of who the person narrating was, but then as it got towards the end everything became a lot clearer with mysteries resolving. The book has similarities to other popular children’s novels including the Alex Rider series and Cherub series, involving a main popular boy character doing abnormal dangerous things with excitement and suspense throughout and saving himself, friends, family and even the world from evil. The author uses suspense very well with ending some of the chapters with the words such as “fear” in italic a line below the rest of the text. It also states the date and time next to the title of each chapter where it also states where the scene is located at. This adds to the mission briefing feel and really makes the story more interesting and relates to how Cal went missing. When there was a message from someone’s phone it was clear because there was a phone symbol next to where the text was. If there was an email sent or note written the picture was included in the novel. All these little extra things improved the book and kept it interesting and would make it more appealing for the younger readers. I believe this book deserves its title of being a popular high selling children’s book. The book provide excitement throughout and there were many appealing settings, language and action that would relate and connect to a primary school readers liking.
Conspiracy 365: Revenge is a stand-alone book told from the point of view of Cal's best friend, Boges. The story takes place a couple of months after Cal visited Ireland and found the Ormond Singularity. Now, with more money than he can think about, Cal finds himself in the clutches of Sligo once more.
I found it a little weird at first to have this story told from the point of view of someone other than Cal. Still, it was easy to adjust to and I made the transition quickly. It was also a little strange to not have Cal in the story until about halfway through the book. All of the things are here in the stand-alone book that made the twelve-part series so awesome. The page number still count down backward, the action is plentiful, the story is tense, and main characters are all the here, even Repro.
Gabrielle Lord has proven that she can follow up her thrilling twelve-part series with another exciting book in the Conspiracy 365 series. I was totally excited when I heard about this book, thinking I was never going to get to read another word about Cal Ormond again. After all, he and his friends had been part of my life for a year, and I found I missed them. So, it was totally awesome that the author put out another book in this series that had the same feel as the original twelve.
Sligo is back and is ruthless as ever. Now that the Ormond Singularity has been found, he is still trying to steal all of the wealth that Cal now has. He will stop at nothing to get it and is willing to kill to get it. Boges, Winter, and Ryan must band together and put a stop to this madman.
Overall, Conspiracy 365: Revenge is another great book that I had a hard time putting down at night. I just wanted to read, read, and read even more. I quickly flew through this book and was extremely satisfied by the ending. So, if you loved the original twelve part series, then you are definitely going to have to pick up a copy of this book. I hear there may even be another book coming told from the perspective of Winter. If so, I cannot wait to get my hands on that one too! These books are so amazing!
Revenge Conspiracy 365 is the thirteenth book in the Conspiracy 365 series by Australian author Gabrielle Lord. Some months after Callum Ormond has returned to normal life in Flood Street with his mum and Gabbi, he finds a letter on his pillow warning him he has 30 days. Suddenly Cal is gone and no-one knows where he is. From then on, the story is narrated by his best friend Bodhan Michalko (Boges) as he and Winter and Cal’s newly-found twin brother, Ryan, try to track down their friend. In another fast-moving, action-packed thriller, our friends encounter tranquilliser darts, kidnapping, poisonous injections, a secret underground hide-out, hidden explosives, a helicopter flight, a zipline ride and an exclusive cruise ship. Boges gets to showcase his talents with electronic gadgets, even if he gives up his NASA interview to help Cal. And who is behind it? It seems that not everyone died in the marsh in Ireland, and maybe Cal has more family that he knows about…….. Some editions feature a lenticular panel giving the cover a 3D look. In keeping with the countdown theme, the pages run in reverse order and the chapter headings count down the days remaining. Rather fantastic but fun, all the same and readers will look forward to the next instalment, Malice.
More action in much the same flavor as the prior series. The cruise ship scenes were fun. I think, though, that the series would've been better off ending at the last book - December.
The return of this particular arch-villain is just too much, too unlikely. It also doesn't make sense that he chose the target he did. If he really wanted revenge, he would've chosen a different target from the Conspiracy 365 heroes. There was one in particular who would've been more of a sitting duck, who he would've been more likely to feel betrayed by, since he was closer.
Cal's friends are still in the mindset of always lying their way out of their troubles, too. I know they were trying to keep people from worrying, but this was just too much, especially considering how far things had gotten out of hand.
As a side note, there is a big difference between a group of people who have been victimized, brutalized, and pillaged fighting for their freedom from oppression - and willing to die for it - and a glorified murderer and thug throwing a fit because doesn't get his greedy way. Admittedly, the thug was crazed, but his motivation was way off.
At least Winter's comment that someone was looking for peace in the Bible indicates that she knows some people can find peace there.
Like all the Conspiracy 365 books, Revenge had me hooked; and I can definitely say I'm one of the biggest C365 fans around. But with all books - especially sequels - there has to come a critique. Reading through Revenge, I had the impression that it had been written too quickly, and been thrown onto the shelves as soon as possible. An interesting aspect to the story is that all of it - save the first few pages - is told from Boges' viewpoint. Even being a huge Con365 fan, I wouldn't go out of my way reccomending it. If you're happy with how December ended, then there really is no need to read Revenge. Gabrielle Lord will always be an amazing writer filled with mindblowing plotlines and twists - and this book had them - but Revenge exhausted C365... If there was a second series as good as the first I'd def. be buying it though!
I loved the Conspiracy 365 series mostly because of the action, the mystery and most of all the climax. Every book came out on the month it was named after and I would buy it as soon as it came out. I would be excited when the beginning of a new month because I knew the next book was coming out. The last book December was the final climax of the series. Every piece of the puzzle fit together perfectly and there was a heap of action all through the book. Every single question was answered in the finale of December and now Gabriel Lord has written another book to the series. If you ask me the series finished in December. Revenge was a pointless aftermath to the epic conclusion to the series. I'd suggest that Conspiracy fans can stop reading at December. It finishes perfectly and there is no need for later books.
Three stars may be unfair, but I must say I was slightly disappointed with this book. The first 12 of the original 365 days countdown were so good, I think that the bar was set very high for this book. I expected something different. I expected a fulfillment of the relationship between Cal and Winter that was promised at the end of the final book from the original 365 part of the series. What I got was a villain who came back from the dead (fairly worn out theme by now), basically no relationship between Cal and Winter, and another countdown. If you haven't read the original 365 part of the series, READ IT NOW!!!!!
Are you into Action Adventure? If you are, I suggest reading this book! This book is an add on to the Conspiracy 365 series by:Gabrielle Lord. Basically, the series is about a 15 year old boy Callum Ormond and his friend Boges and eventually someone else that I won't mention. Callum tries to unravel a big family secret within a year before it is too late but along the way, he becomes a wanted fugitive. The book "Revenge" takes place after he finds out that secret. He receives a note that says "30 days". Who sent the note? Will he find out before it's too late? Read this book and you'll find out and as the book would say "the clock is ticking, any second could be his last."
Conspiracy 365 Revenge by Gabrielle Lord is one of the better books in the series. This book was very shocking and you would not believe what you read. This book is definitely one of the better books and if you like reading, this is a long book but it goes by really fast.
A kid named Booges is searching for his best friend Cal Ordmond who got kid napped. They have no clue who took him or were he is. Then they get kid napped and then released with request to save his friend. So they start working on the request to free Cal. They get to work and find out we're he is and then agghhhhh.
I would recommend this book to people who like thrillers and mysteries.
