A cookbook I like more in theory than in practice. I like the scrapbook vibe, Khoo's beautiful watercolours, and I find the recipes easy to follow and appealing. There are a few things which are essentially lower calorie versions of rich recipes -- in general I dislike this trend, but here these tend to be things which have been made vegetarian, which is good for anyone trying to eat more plants.\As usual with Khoo's cookbooks, the food styling in it is beautiful, fun and youthful without being fussy. The London Loaf is excellent, and something I make very frequently. I haven't really made any of them, but the desserts seem a stand out as well, and the most inventive part of the book.
Another beautiful cook book from Rachel Khoo. The recipes are diverse and easy to follow. I love the little illustrations drawn by the author, such a lovely added personal touch.
This is the first time I've read a cookbook written by a European and it was interesting to see where they are similar and different. Some of them really intrigued me and some of them were a bit too far. But I look forward to making a few of them, particularly the tomato soup with chickpeas as croutons.
This girl is my style sister! She loves colorful clothes, beautiful floral dresses, going on her bike while wearing a dress, cooking books and most importantly food and cute little kitchens!
This book is gorgeous to look at! A journal of sorts, watercolored, vintage photos and exotic recipes! I have never seen anything like her food, it's intimidating and very exciting!
I got this wonderful cookbook as a gift from a friend who noticed my love of cooking and creating my own dishes (pasta especially) this one is unique. Thank you so much for gifting me with this gem! I feel like I landed two wonderful friends.
I remember watching Rachel Khoo's cooking show when I lived in the UK. So I was happy when I came across her latest cookbook at the library. I love the layout and beautiful pics and artwork. I didn't care for the recipes in the 'starters' and 'mains' sections. (Not a fan of seafood.). But there are lots of recipes I want to try in the 'sweets' section.
I love Rachel so much, I've been trying with her recipes for a while now, and I'm having great results. I'm not the kind of girl who likes to read cookbooks but this one... I read it and I couldn't resist to try some recipes. Anyway I loved it and also the illustrations.
Great illustrations and photographs of recipes. The recipes are clearly written and include tips for steps that can be done ahead. I found the book visually pleasing.
While most recipes contain things I won't eat (I am really picky), this is one of my favorite cookbooks to look at! Absolutely gorgeous photos, fabulous fonts, just so stylish and makes me happy :)
I've read Khoo's other books, and I adored this one just ask much. Cute sketches, fun recipes and her storytelling through food makes for a fabulous read.
