As expected, the series starts going downhill. Bombs only kill bad guys, like in bad action movies. Ryouta can dodge 'em like nobody's business. Oh, it's cause he's so good at the game? No, it's because he is the main character. Everyone else is there to make him look even better.

Ryouta remebers a former friend of his named Oda. It's the guy in the sunglasses who tried to kill him. He has a run-in with Kira who steals some Bims, but then reunites with Date and Himiko. The latter already has reason not to trust Date, but she can't say anything with him around. Then Date just goes all out against the two of them. He thinks he manages to kill Ryouta, but Ryouta, you see, is the main character. And this series isn't over yet.

Con los pocos tomos que llevo he encontrado Btoom algo disperso y facilista en su desarrollo. Pero este séptimo volúmen ha subido el promedio con creces, con uns giros argumentales muy interesantes e inteligentes. La forma en que se cuenta la historia, con el pov de más de un personaje sobre los mismos hechos, enriquece el relato.

En este tomo Ryōta se vio como un completo novato idiota 🤦🏻‍♀️ Se confía demasiado.
Que bonito ver a Himiko preocupada por él y al fin confiando en él.
Me gustó ver cosas que no salían en el anime.

Se empiezan a formar alianzas y se descubren cosas sobre este juego que lleva meses sucediendo.

Me parece re loco ver cómo se potencia la mentalidad humana, tanto para bien como para mal.

Btooom! is a bit derivative in concept, but this volume is easily the best of the series so far. The characterization takes a surprising (and very welcome) turn towards the unexpected as it turns out that characters we met back in the first volume are far more complex than we assumed.

Even the protagonists surprise us somewhat, as it turns out that Ryota gets to be humbled in a realistic way that humanizes him deeply. Himiko, too, shows depths that we had not seen before.

If you are a fan of Btooom!, or even on the fence, by all means try and read this specific volume.

This is a manga that's better than hunger games. Has more realistic events and tragedies. People die and dark things come to light not for the faint hearted. Good art style and characters.

Ryota makes a come back, Himiko´s feeling for Ryota are showing, the fights are amazing as always and we see the true behind the doctor.
