Absolutely awesome series! I can't put them down! I'm binge reading the whole series and totally addicted! I highly recommend checking this series out!

In some ways I'm amazed at how slow the series is moving. Book 3 and they still have only progressed what, 2 levels out of 20 in their training? It still remains enjoyable but it's hard for me to see how it will be wrapped up in any reasonable period of time and most of the book feels like filler.

75% of the way through the 3rd book in the series and I'm starting to become bored and frustrated. The heroes can't even take 3 steps without getting in some kind of serious trouble. They've won battles. Augumn has beaten his own father once for crying out loud! Used powerful arcanery numerous times, yet when confronted by weak opponents(somehow the same nemesis seems to find them wherever they go), they act as if they are the weakest Warlocks that ever lived.
They are rude to everyone. They meet a creature they've never seen before. Do you think they ask him pertinent questions, or try to make an ally of him? No, they're just rude little teenagers. For no reason at all really. They miss opportunity after opportunity to make allies.
Become very frustrating to the point I'm not sure I'll read the final two installments. Even though I'd like to see how it all ends....might just skip to that part

Predictable
Fight. Get caught. Get tortured. Escape. Rinse. Repeat. Character development zero. Plot development zero. Thankfully I can read each book in less than an hour.

Sever Bronny's continues to show improvement in this exciting addition to the series.
Once again the story picks up only a couple days after the end of the previous book. Wherer I thought at some point in the first book in the series might contain time jumps it has thus far not been true. it is told in a third-person limited point of view of male protagonist who is going to turn 15 likely in the next book. The writing has become tighter and the story continues to pull the reader along.
It is interesting to see what the author does in order to make things difficult for our young protagonist and his friends. Finding ways to separate them from help and force them to grow and face exciting challenges. There is the patternnow that at some point after they get caught a few spells they will be forced to face the challenges by themselves. This can become hokey depending upon how the author does it. The story is interesting but how he achieves it this time borderlines on a bit obvious.
There's two elements where parts of the story feels as if it was written for an older audience say 17 or 18 and above while other parts such as the burgeoning romances seem almost more appropriate for children's books. However it's appears that the latter is catching up slightly. Still there is the aspect where these people are facing life and death in horrible ways but they still blush at holding hands or a simple kiss on the cheek.. It does give the series a bit of a uniquely awkward feel but the story itself fascinating and well paced enough where you do not worry too much about the little things.
There were some new antagonist to challenge our heroes as well as some from the past. I enjoyed some of the interesting twist the author put in them and to these new antagonist and those from the past. However there is still an antagonist problem in that the main antagonist still seem to be only one note personalities that make them annoying and a bit boring. You can only have the rude/sadistic and deadly bully hang around so long until you get to the point where you are thinking “him again?” These type of characters tend to get silly after a while.
There's no swordplay, which appear to be a part of the story in the first book but there's plenty of magic and a bit more action to be found in this book. The writting improves the point where it's boarding on 4.5 to 5 star rating. There's some story choices that keep the books around a 4 as well as perhaps situations where the rules surrounding the magic system seem to have been forgotten or at least haven't been mentioned since book 1. Mainly I'm thinking of the rule that says the more you use a certain spell the better you become at it and the less it cost to cast it. I mention this because there are few times in which spells with negative effects seem to have the same length of those negative effects where one would think those effects should be less apparent.
Excited to read the next book of the series and a see how much more the author can improve as he goes along. This book is still around a PG-13 except for some of the violence does get graphic

I come with expectations,,,,
I've been traveling with this motley crew for 2 books now. They've been thru a lot,,, trauma, violent deaths of loved ones,,, they've battled with and for each other. These are not the young , innocent, untried young people of book 1. Those kids went thru the fire and came out tempered and forever changed. So I got to page 26 of book 3 and I was so disgusted with the choices Mr. Bronny made that I quit. I know,, I know,,, but I seem to have a clearer image of what this crew is ( or should be) now. These are not scared ,timid, cautious, insecure teens anymore. These 26 pages are featuring characters that I don't have patience for. They would not be sheep but they're sure acting like it. They had more balls in book 1,,, I just couldn't. I come with expectations.

Augumn Stone must embark on a very dangerous mission, to gain a ancient artafact known as the Agonex. The Agonex is hidden within a monsterous cave where the terrain and weather are unpredictable. when they venture into the cave, there are met by a cursed lady that is imortal till her master arrives. She sets up many traps for the trio, can they survive? will they acomplish there mission?
I really liked this book and thats why I gave it a 4 out of 5. This book is intense with many exhilerating moments. THis book also has a lot of jokes and is very humorous. I recommend this to readers who get bored easily, like me. It is a very good book and I hope you engoy It!

Shockingly Convincing
I am in awe at how well the books in the Arithian Line have convinced me of how small and seemingly insignificant Augum, Leera, and Bridget are. There is always this constant sense that they are pushing themselves right along the edge of their abilities just to survive, and yet they do.
This book also presents crisis very well, but it is paced smoothly with the essential moments of rest between. A splendid mix of adventure and fantasy, Valor is a story I cannot more highly recommend.

Frustrated
Really frustrated that they do so much impressive and cool things for half the book and the other half they're just completely controlled and reliant on others. If Robin captures them one more time or if Bridget says to let it go without doing something when they're being bullied again I'm actually going to lose my mind. I've read like 2000 pages of this series can the main characters please stop being helpless and resigned to their fate half the time.

July 19, 2022When I first started this series, I thought I was going to have a problem with all the long arcane explanations, however these stories would not be the same without them, Like the first two books Valor continues with the Quest and the trial and tribulations of Augum and his pals is both immense and suspenseful. Sever Bronny does the Genre of Fantasy proud with this series and I hope to continue reading her books.

It really is a epic drama. Thrlling adventure, with depth. What I think could be more restrained to a better effect is all the repetitive cruelty. Why chapters of "questioning" too much. The point has been well made. It's almost to the point of being irritating with Robin rather than an outrage

This book was amazing. I had to purchase it on my kindle to read because I couldn't wait for it to come in the mail. I love these characters so much and this story is incredible. I would recommend it for anyone. My only smallest complaint is the grammar errors, which there are only few of. It didn't bother me much, though.

I still like the characters, including the new ones. I'm starting to tire of the amount of extra ordinary near misses.
Books are great to read when you can imagine the situation could almost be real. It is starting to get so far fetched, the series is going from great to good.
I'm going to keep going but I hope it tones down a little.

Very good book
Well written great concept. Adventure story chase... magic teen love the standard trifecta for successful books. Well though out the struggle of each character is to their own.

This series just keeps me asking what next? The author has a vivid imagination. This will hold your interest. I can't begin to see where it is going. Just have to keep reading to find out what happens.

The 3rd book keeps you wanting to read more and stay up late to read what happens next. It has moments of being hard to believe, but that is part of the fun with fantasy and magic.
