The Justice League has been called to the Ural Mountains in Russia where a decaying nuclear reactor threatens to melt down. The heroes are able to shut down the reactor, but in doing so they also cut off the power to a long-forgotten cryogenic lab hidden deep under the mountains. A group of genetically engineered meta-humans frozen in the lab are revived. Code-named Red Dawn, they are endowed with powers that rival and mirror those of the Justice League. The Justice League has finally met its match–unless the Flash can save them in time.
Michael Teitelbaum has been a writer and editor of children’s books for more than thirty years. He worked on staff as an editor at Golden Books, Grossett & Dunlop, and Macmillan. In addition to The Scary States of America, Michael’s fiction work includes The Very Hungry Zombie: A Parody, and The Very Thirsty Vampire: A Parody both done with artist extraordinaire Jon Apple, published by Skyhorse. His non-fiction work includes writing Jackie Robinson: Champion for Equality, published by Sterling, and The Baseball Hall of Fame, a 2-volume encyclopedia, published by Grolier. He is also the series editor of Great Escapes, true-life acts of incredible courage, published by Harper Collins. Michael has always had an interest in the paranormal, despite a rather normal childhood in Brooklyn, NY. These days, Michael lives with his wife, Sheleigah, and two talkative cats in an (as yet unhaunted) 180-year-old farmhouse in the beautiful Catskill Mountains of upstate New York.
The Justice LEague is called to an emergency in the Ural mountains in Russia where a nuclear reactor is in danger of killing thousands. Inadvertantly, their saving the reactor leads to the release of 5 super powered Russians who had been cryogenically suspended. They do not know the Cold War is over and consider the Justice League their enemies.
Very fun story even though the portrayal of The Flash seemed a bit annoying at times.
Justice League Red Justice by Michael Teitelbaum it's about a group of heroes that been sent to Ural Mountains in Russia to stop the decaying nuclear reactor to melt down.A group of genetically engineered meta-humans frozen in the lab are revived. Code-named Red Dawn, they are endowed with powers that rivals the Justice League.
The part that I liked is when the the justice league finally defeated their enemies stopped the nuclear reactor from melting down and saved Russia.
Flash-centric book, with a middling plot. Certainly not up to the standards of the show. There are numerous plot holes throughout that really could have easily been resolved.
