As the title suggests, this cookbook is family friendly with quick/easy weeknight dinner recipes, larger recipes for entertaining and a section meant to include kids in the kitchen. There is a fun section called "Theme Night" where you can select from menus with titles like "Superbowl Party," "Mexican Fiesta Time," and "Oscar Night Celebration," to name a few.
Onto the recipes:
Variety: Large variety of about 250 recipes.
Pictures: Gorgeous pictures but only about half or so of the recipes have an accompanying photo.
Difficulty/Time preparation: Generally easy to prepare. Some are time consuming but most seem fairly quick.
Ingredients: Mostly easy to find ingredients.
Nutrition: Yes, nutrition facts are included with the recipes.

A lot of good basic recipes (nothing too exotic or hard to produce) for regular eating. How will the recipes taste? I don't know. I haven't tried any yet, but I will be putting some aside to see how they go. The librarian told me she had used the book and enjoyed it as "seeking healthy food and not having to cook it separately for one person, but rather all the family."

Has family friendly recipes with hints about what is age-appropriate for children to be attempting in cooking & preparing these dishes. Not a bad beginner's cookbook, it's a hardback bound book with some weight, heft & size to it.
Probably not an ideal cookbook for people with exotic tastes in food & it would be cool to see these scaled down for singles & couples as well as recommendations as to which recipes can be batch cooked & frozen.
It's from the Smart Points era in case someone is following one of the myriad of Weight Watchers plans (this book was 1st published in 2016).

I borrowed this from the library and made a few recipes that were really good! I extended my rental at the library so I could make more from this book! Good variety of food/sides for all palettes. I also ordered it online so I will have a copy when I have to return it :-)

I checked out this cookbook from the library and have renewed it twice! I guess I need to just buy it. My family has loved all the recipes made so far and I have some picky eaters.

What a great book! Lots of recipes and pictures! Recipes are easy to follow and include points! I'll definitely be trying some of these recipes!
