Well the first two books in this series were okay, but I am putting the rest of the series down for now as I just can't seem to get into the rest of the books. So I will pick them back up at a later date. Giving it two stars for what I did read.

This review is just for Peek A Boo. My reviews of the other books were made individually on Goodreads.
Miss Rose is still in need of an editor, maybe someone would like to volunteer.
Three of these books were entertaining, the fourth one ridiculous.
Peek A Boo- This was attention getting but the killer's identity extremely disappointing. It seemed far fetched.
I have a feeling Miss Rose could do better if she put forth a little effort. Her book endings often read as though she wasn't really sure of the killer's identity herself and at the last minute randomly picked a name and hastily added a barely plausible explanation for motive. Let's also not forget that at one point Rose introduces a murderer who not only gets away with it without ANYONE knowing what she is but also becomes a productive powerful member of the town. The character continues to appear in following books of the series with not one mention of her dark side. Are we supposed to just forget what we know and continue merrily on? Will Rose eventually address this in future books? I have no idea. I keep hoping Rose's writing will improve but I'm beginning to lose said hope. Well, onto Tweedledum and Tweedledee or whichever order it is.

You wouldn't want her as a neighbour!
The poor folk from the island where Emma Frost and her family move to were in for a shock! A quiet little island with virtually no crime, bed mes a hot bed for murder and mayhem and Emma is at the heart of it all.
Quirky and often stretches the realms of reality but great for a bit of murder mystery escapism, there are also some tender and heart wrenching moments as we get to know her and her family.
I've only recently discovered Willow Rose and I find her books a refreshing change in tempo from my usual harder hitting psychological thriller choices. Looking forward to the next in the series x

Too much good stuff
Five books,.each slightly better than the previous, so let's make this simple:
Fanoe Island, Denmark. Isolated and insular.
Emma Frost, mother and journalist/writer.
A fairly complex cast of characters with pasts.
Over the course of five good stories, we the reader become familiar with the community and somewhat with the culture. We also get a narrative style that takes a little adaptation because at first it feels jarring.
Rather than summarize five books, I would rather praise the author for two things:
1. She abandons the "supernatural" hints she lays in the first story. Her son is NOT some kind of psychic or anything, so let that little hiccup in her narrative pass. She won't do it again.
2. She uses pop culture as a plot device, not as the plot itself. I enjoy seeing her slightly skewer pop culture in this way.
Read these books. Mystery fans will see Jessica Fletcher and maybe a little Miss Marple in these.

I have to say, I have read 3 of the Jack Ryder books and 3 of the Harry Hunter and enjoyed them a lot, but with this series of Emma Frost stories - so far I've read 1-6, I have been absolutely spellbound! Willow Rose certainly knows how to spin a tale with so many strands at the beginning that s eem completely unconnected, then slowly each strand is bought together through so many twists and turns in the plot that the last chapter is so exciting - and usually very unexpected! I can't wait now to get on to books 7-9. My only other thought has been, whilst reading - how on earth can one person Emma Frost - stand so much excitement?! Also, the small Danish island where she and her family live seems to have so many murders, like certain TV detective dramas, that it doesn't seem a very safe place to live! However, not all of the books have the murderous action taking place there, so maybe it's just Emma's bad luck!

Took me a bit (confusion)
The series is pretty good. In the beginning however I was a bit confíes until I realize that the author goes back in forth with the characters past, then to the present. A few times I felt as if the storyline was all over the place.
There is definitely a lot going on in the series with the Character.
There is a Character who supposedly gets caught doing horrific things then she appears in another one of the books as a person everyone likes. I won't ruin anything by saying who, but this confused me.
Not sure if I will buy the other books in the series though. Haven't decided yet.

Dissapointing
I enjoy a good murder mystery, but this just did nothing for me and I didn't feel it was a true murder mystery. I felt like it should be under a different category, but I don't feel it fits under horror either. I don't know, it just wasn't my cup of tea. I don't care for the way she jumps back and forth between the timelines and long before the two are finally brought together it was extremely obvious to me what was going on. And the entire premise is . . . ridiculous! BTW the grammar is terrible and there are quite a few typos as well. I won't read another book by this author.

Emma Frost is a criminal magnet
While I do nor find Emma Frost as believable an consuming as Mary Mills,I did enjoy books 1 - 5 of this series and will continue into the next collection. I am taken by the characterization of Emma's parents and her children. The lack seems to be , for me at least, the lack if real direction in Emma's development. She us an author, but somehow there is a disconnect between the character and the situations into which she is cast. Hopefully, the next books will develop her personality so that I do not feel she has just along for the ride having been mistakenly placed on the island.

Emma Frost Series is "Good" Side of Mediocre
I've tried to like the books, and I've hung in there for this set of 5. They're "OK" -- but they REALLY push the credibility factor. It's not just that so much can happen in such a little locale. It's probably not that such a small circle of people can go through so much. But, it's a combination of all this, combined with the writing.

Is everyone a murderer?
If a body turns up in the Danish town of Fanoe, you can bet that Emma is somehow involved. Willow’s characters started to make me feel as if everyone is a murderer just waiting to kill. These books tend to start off with a lot of different stores that eventually converge into one. I think each book was better than the last. I’m looking forward to the next box se.

This is a collection of the first five books of the Emma Frost mystery series. Emma inherited her grandmother’s old home on an island in a picture-perfect town. Of course, each of the stories has a killer (or two) that somehow ends up connected to Emma.
The way the stories are laid out, you slowly learn each characters’ secrets, making it fun trying to guess which one was the true culprit. That’s how I like a mystery to be. This is a great series to read.

A real mystery! Emma is quickly intrigued by a death in the town where she just moved. She decides this is the inspiration for her to write a novel. She begins doing research and as more deaths occur, she starts putting the pieces of the puzzle together. At the same time a background story is told that will eventually blend with the current mystery to make everything fall in place. A very skillful job of writing this mystery. I was guessing at the outcome right up to the end.

Excellent Read!
This is my first book read by Willow Rose and I must say that I have enjoyed the first five books of this series! It seems that every since Emma Frost and her two kids moved to this Island, every thing is outta sync and nothing but chaos is unleashed! Things didn't have to happen to her persay, but she was close enough to the situation that it affected her, her family, or her friends. I know that everyone who reads these books will enjoy them! I definitely recommend these books!

Interesting series of stories.
These stories set in Denmark was an intriguing set of fast paced mysteries that were hard to put down. I went from one to the next only needing to stop and rest my eyes periodically. A little bloody at times, but since the heroine took it without too much distress, the reader can too! I do wish she would be a little lighter on the gluten free items, there are those of us who have no choice in the matter, we must eat them in order to live.

Excellent Series by the master of spine tingling thrillers!
This series is not for the faint at heart or squeamish! A masterfully written who-done-it series of books that you'll think you've gotten it all figured out until the final twist at the end of each book that leaves you mind blown! Willow Rose is excellent at twisting several plots into a book and there is usually yer more underlying plot that you didn't even catch! Then bam it all comes together!

I'm addicted to the author -- I will read ANYTHING she writes. The stories are captivating, thrilling and you instantly adopt the protaganist. I thoroughly enjoyed each story of the 1-5 volume and woud dare anyone to say differently -- a MUST read.

First Five
I've just finished the first five books in the Emma Frost series and have thoroughly enjoyed them. I have read all the books from her Rebekka Franck series and although I have found a lot of similarities between the two series, they are just different enough to work. I can't wait to find out what happens in the next books.

Too graphic
Book one was very good, book 2 with the girls sold into slavery was just a little too much descriptive than I thought was necessary, very disturbing, obviously that is why we read psych thrillers, it was just too over the top for me personally. The book at the hotel was slightly boring compared to the rest of book set. The rest of the books good.

The Emma Frost Mystery Series Volume 1 thru 5
I had seen in a review where Willow Rose was the female version of Stephen King and I laughed. Willow Rose is comparable to King and more. I have to make myself slow down when I start one of her books because you have to know what happens next. And believe me when I say you will never look at nursery rhymes the same way again.

These books are extremely well written with red herrings thrown in to constantly keep you guessing who did it.
While I enjoyed each book, reading them as an omnibus was kind of like trying to marathon Law & Order: SVU. Now that I'm done, I'm going to hug my kids and read something light and fluffy to balance it out.

I am definitely not interested in reading anything else by this author. This set was in a mass download of freebies, most of which were actually good reading.

Willow Rose Has Done It Again with a Great Series of Thrillers
The author’s ability to fully develop the characters in all her books is the major reason, I’ve read about 18 of her books. For an island off the coast of Denmark with a relatively small population, there are an enormous number of crazy killers but regardless all five stories are thrilling & exciting.

Not sure about this series.
This series is very different from others of the author. A few of them gripped me but at least two of the five books in this set were needlessly disgusting & graphic. I may try more in this series later but I need a good long break from Denmark and the macabre goings on there in these books.

Enjoyed reading all 5 Mysteries
Emma Frost is an unique character for sure. It is easy to relate to her stressful eating habits because stress and excitement she does have a lot. I did really enjoy all 5 books and read them quickly so they kept my interest level up. Now for Book 6 in the Series.

The first 5 books in this series was really enjoyable for me. Each novel has a story line all of it's own and all of the characters are well developed. Our look forward to reading this series in its entirety.

Okay...a little roughost around the edges but a solid effort....not enough for me to plow into the rest of the five book series. This one was enough. A good writter...but there are so many great writers....

First book was ok - maybe 3 star. Emma and her children, especially Victor, are developed well enough, and I actually like them. But the plot lines and additional characters in subsequent books just get more and more shallow. I could barely finish book 3. I will not continue the rest.

I thought the content of the series was all right, I liked the characters. I agree with another reader, this needs some proof-reading. It's also a bit confusing jumping back and forth from past to present.

I liked the characters and the twists in the stories. It was good to be inside the heads of the guilty as it explains why they are a off the wall. I had to just keep reading from volume 1 through to 5, I felt compelled!
