A Fall of Secrets by Bella Forrest is book number fifteen in the series, A Shade of Vampire.



The residents of The Shade have come out victorious in their battle against the black witches. So much has changed in their world now. Their own witches have rebuilt the island to accommodate not only the wolves but now the dragons. I want to take a minute here to say that I love the addition of the dragons, the very handsome dragons when they are in human form I want to add. I have no idea where Bella Forrest is going with this. Could she be planning a new series featuring them? I can only hope. The dragons are ready to meet the single women of The Shade and to begin courting them. They want a formal ball where they will have their first meeting. I can’t wait to find out more about them. I am intrigued with their own prince. Has he truly given up his interest in Rose?



Because of Ben, the human world now knows about the existence of paranormals. So the black witches decide to use this in their own favor and just start taking humans right out in the open. Since they didn’t get to take all of the humans from The Shade, they will take them from the human world in hopes of completing their ritual with Lilith.

Of course, Derek and Sofia want to warn the human world to protect themselves against the black witches and to prove that not all paranormals are evil. And Rose, who was supposed to stay safely on the island, has a plan of her own.



So many of our beloved characters are finding their own dreams coming true. Some are getting married, some having children. But until they kill Lilith, the threat of the black witches will always be over their heads. The humans of the world will never be safe until this is taken care of. It seems like a lot of the responsibility of figuring out how to stop them is falling on Mona’s shoulders. I hate to see this since she and Kiev have been through so much. I just want to see them happy and maybe get to finally relax a little bit.



Rose and Caleb’s relationship is as cute as ever and Caleb is contemplating some big decisions. I love the way he has evolved and the way he still holds on to his old fashioned standards. I think he is so good for Rose. He doesn’t hold her back but loves her for her still developing strengths.

I can’t wait to read the next book, An End of Night, which is the final book on Rose and Caleb’s story. But don’t worry, the series will still continue on after that. I can only assume that Bella will then focus on Ben’s story since we have only gotten little snippets on him in the last couple of books.

I actually thought this one has been better than the others. A lot happened in this one and it should be very interesting to see how everything is going to unfold. I liked Mona's story the most. I'm was really digging her story line. I really can't wait to see what happens in the next book. I am so sick of Rose. I am so happy the next book is the final book where it focuses on her. Every time I saw her name on the chapter I rolled my eyes. I am so over her. Oh and Ben, I can't wait to see what is going on with him! Poor guy!

Yet again I was hit with another fantastic book by Bella Forrest. It amazes me how she writes such great books every time.

This book was well paced and the characters, as usual were amazing. My only wish is that there is more of Ben in the next book as I haven't seen too much of him in recent books. Hopefully he'll be in the next.

Great read, as usual a well earned 5 stars from me.

You can say that again. Now that the secret is out that humans aren’t alone in the world, a whole new world of possibilities has been opened and I for one can’t wait to see where Bella Forrest goes with it! After the epic showdown in the previous book, this book was a bit slower but it was a nice break from the intense action as she sets things up for what is sure to be an awesome finale for Rose & Caleb! This book saw some exciting times for the personal lives of several residents of The Shade, it was nice to see so many of them finding happiness. We also had the return of the dragons as they arrived back at The Shade to take Rose up on her offer of ‘damsels’ for them to romance. I have to say that the addition of the dragons to this series has been a nice touch. I really enjoy these guys and what they asked for upon their return was awesome, so much fun! We also had the start of dealing with the implications of the fact that the human world is now becoming aware of the existence of supernatural beings. Derek & Sofia and Rose & Caleb all had a part in dealing with this fallout and their actions reminded me why I love this crew at The Shade so much! I don’t want to say too much to spoil anything, but I will say that I really enjoyed yet another installment in this series and I am really looking forward to the finale of Rose & Caleb’s story!! Big thanks to the author for not making her readers wait very long to get it!!

I want to start this review by saying that I do not hate this book, or this series. I've read every installment thus far, hoping to watch the author grow. Sadly, I feel that in effort to pump out product, she's sacrificed quality. I'd happily wait MUCH longer between installments to see her improve with editing and story arch building. The pace has left me feeling detached and annoyed by many of the characters and relationships. The character I most relate to these days is Brett; I just want to shut off the author notifications and be left alone. I wish Bella Forrest the best and hope to see her utilize her ambition and creativity in the future, but for now, I'm done with The Shade.

Rose finds her hidden strength...

Rose is a Novak to the core, yet she still wields her mother's compassion. Having dragon's as newfound allies doesn't hurt either. As Rose, Caleb and others risk their lives to save humans, her mother and father are doing the the same.
In this book, an epic battle of wits ensues to outsmart the black witches with an element of surprise. As with book 14, it's action packed; a most thrilling ride, along with a few surprises. If you haven't read this series, I highly recommend starting with book one and enjoy the ride! I'm excited and sad to see the next book as the finale...but all great things must come to an end.

It was another great story in the series but didn't have as much action as some of the previous stories. There were some interesting things revealed and I really enjoyed the last few chapters. Really looking forward to the next book coming out, but kind of sad it's the last in Rose & Caleb's story.

Derek almost dies by being burned alive when attempting to turn human. Only to be brought back by a potion He attempts to take the cure again, this time being successful. Near the end of the battle Rose discovers her fire wielding powers after witnessing her father use this same rare gift to save the life of Caleb

The Dragons fly through the boundary to reclaim Rose as theirs or light the island ablaze if they don't hand her over. Rose suggests the single women of the island be matched with the dragons in exchange for their help in defending the island. This was how the black witches were forced to retreat.
We also learn how Rhys choose to save Mona life by placing her in the boat. He vows it to be the last time he'd show her mercy.

Not long after battle Kiev and Mona are married which is followed by the arrival of the dragons and their Prince. Caleb also asked Derrek for his blessing to marry Rose. Caleb finally proposes to Rose by the ocean.

Derek and Sofia warn the humans of more abductions by the black witches. It is during this time Rose acts on her plot to rescue the kids that were kidnapped from the playground with the help of Aiden, Kiev, Micah, Caleb, Mona, and 50 dragons. They managed to rescue 20 our of 100 and five witches from the sanctuary who vow to leave the shade.

The kidnappings are caught on camera and shown on the news. It's decided that the solution is to get rid of Lilith. It's up to Mona to find her weakness. Mona realizes she had access to Lilliths mind when she did the ritual to become a channeler. Mona then takes a memory potion. Through Lilliths memories she learns of Magnus. Magnus is a vampire whom Lilith has bound herself to through love. All that's left is to break Lilliths heart, the only part of humanity she has left.

OMG

This series is getting better and better. With Rose's newly found powers, she enlists the help of the dragons to help rescue the children that the black witches kidnapped.

Derek, Sofia, and Corrine go to the police to let them know that there are paranormal creatures out there and to close down all the schools to protect the young from being taken.

Mona finally figures out what is keeping Lilith, the last ancient alive; her love for a vampire.

Meanwhile, Caleb finally gets to ask Rose what he's been longing for.

This series is always fantastic and the way Forrest seamlessly moves the plotlines and characters along to keep the story enchanting, enthralling and enlivened is to be admired. She is truly a gifted author. This series is one of the best you will ever read. Don't miss out on learning the story for each character and for their lives unfold. This is a can't miss series!!! This book was phenomenal! I never am disappointed in these books! I am just so happy that they are engaged!! <3 There were so many happy things that happened in this book, but of course she also adds suspense and mystery, while breaking your heart haha! There isn’t much to say but that I loved this book! I can’t believe there is only one book left for Rose and Caleb’s story, they are my favorite! Good read

I got through this book in a couple of hours because it was a fast read and I did do some skimming. The story continues with Rose and Caleb, the dragons and some of the other characters. The black witches are back and up to no good. Rose is back in action to try and make things right.

Speechless

So much has gone on with Rose, Celeb, Sophia, Derek, Keiv and the rest of the Vamps that I cannot summer is without giving things away lol. The Dragons are a nice touch adding them to the saga. The Ogres are a light addition. The white and Black witches are never ending and the controversy and roller coaster are in full swing.

Another must read!!! On to #16!!!!!

So much Adventure!!

A Fall of Secrets takes you on such an adventure it makes your head spin!! Diving deeper into Rose and Caleb’s story, touching on Ben’s story, and delving deeper into Lilith!! This was such another amazing read!! Bella keeps getting better!!
