A Dark soul gathering magick …

The Master of Light struggling to find his place …

The alluring Fire witchling who holds the key to helping him …

Darkness looms over the school for witchlings where the Master of Light, Beck, races to control his magic so he can protect the innocent. He struggles to balance his duty with his broken heart and to understand how to move on from what he considers his ultimate failure: his inability to save the woman he loved.

Morgan is on the run – for a good cause. The soul stone she carries could kill Beck and everyone else she cares about, if she’s caught by the Dark witchlings pursuing her. Neither Light nor Dark, she begins to think she’ll spend her life in the shadows, undeserving of Beck’s love and alone with her secret.

When the paths of Beck and Morgan collide again, there isn’t time for doubt or fear. They must work together to tackle the Dark soul that wants them both dead. To do so, there can be no more secrets between them.

This is the last book in the Witchling Series. While the overall main story was enjoyable and satisfying. My major letdown was the fact that some issues were not properly done or even addressed. I believed that the story was not completed and some plots were still not believably explained or left unanswered. It was as if the author had forgotten that those problems existed and just focused too much on the main story. Other than that major star drop, the book was okay, still no better or worse than its prequels in term of story and characters. Still have same issues with the former book where the some plot kinda repeated and some unexplained settings. It was very predictable and could be somewhat annoying but overall satisfying and acceptable. Still, I adored the characters although I felt that some didn't get enough exposure or appearance as I had hoped.

The book started right off where it had left in the third book. Highly recommended to be read in series order. Multiple POVs but mostly Beck and Morgan.

Spoilers

Just like Summer, Morgan had left the school in hiding, again faking her death just like summer did. The only different was Morgan had a conscious about it and Summer was not. Similarly, Decker knew about it but kept it as a necessary secret from Beck. So this times round, it was Beck who was in agony of thinking that his beloved counterbalance was dead. However, Beck chose to focus all his times and life into his duty as the master of light instead of destroying himself like Decker did. The repeated settings were kinda obvious but the author addressed them alright. I totally saw what she was doing there. So this time it was Decker keeping the secret. It made the whole book quite predictable but otherwise expected.

Dawn had upgraded herself from the evil witch to an ultimate villain by allowing herself to be possessed by the evil former Master of the Dark, Bartholomew who was determined to get the soul stone. Morgan kept on hiding to keep the soul stone away and continued to do everything ON HER OWN. This plot was actually getting old but yeah, I just knew that she had to do everything by HERSELF... because just like Summer, Decker and Beck... they all refused to involved the ones they loved and wanted to protect them. So again with the Martyr heroine. Of course, she always ended up being helped by someone. Noah helped her a lot in this book. Fortunately, she wasn't too damsel in distress about it.

Noah and Biji were probably the most beneficial characters in this book and I thought that it was quite appropriate since the cover was definitely Biji. So both Biji and Noah deserved a whole lot appearances in the book. But of course, it was still mostly about Beck and Morgan. Noah deserved a medal though. He helped like.. ALL THE TIME!! Although he was so naive in the former book. I was rolling my eyes so much when he truly believed that kidnapping and holding someone captive was the way of his sister playing a prank. A PRANK my ass!! Disillusion had its limit but that was totally blind worship. Nevertheless, I was very happy for him in this book and at the end.

So Beck and Morgan were going about trying to save the world in their own ways. Beck, in protecting the light and balancing it while trying to find the way to save Dawn or at least his unborn daughter, as well as the way to be together with Morgan. Morgan, in safeguarding the soul stone, protecting Beck and everyone, trying to find way to destroy the stone or anything at all to get rid of Bartholomew, saving Beck's daughter or her self. Not also dealing with her family issues and duties and the secret of her power. Same issues from former book. However, Add in Dawn ready to pop and Bartholomew and you got the bigger clusterf*ck of problems. Again, so many things going on.

Again with the self doubt. However, in this book, Beck finally realised early in the book that he was a POWERFUL master of light and there was a reason he was a MASTER. He gained confident and accepted the light and finally came into his power. Before that, it was almost too annoying to continue to read about how not capable he thought of himself. Morgan also did it around halfway through the book. It was time anyway and I was glad they finally did it. It was definitely a great change.

While the main character grew more into their maturity and power. Bartholomew finally took over Dawn and revealed his ultimate plan to destroy the light from the world forever which meant he was getting rid of Beck and Decker. He had the way to prevent Decker to find him as well as the other dark witchlings. This plot was acceptable but how... why??! I didn't understand why Bartholomew were so knowledgeable about it and none of the former dark masters and mistresses actually knew or tell Decker anything. And I thought there was a lot of plot loose happening in this book as well. Like if all Dark Masters Souls still existed, I bet the light Masters souls would have existed somewhere as well. But that was just my opinion of alternative plot.

Anyway, in the former book, I also questioned about how and why the dark witchlings followed Dawn. Again this book explained very little. But perhaps Bartholomew had something to do with it. It only mentioned that Dawn's actions had gathered some group of already unhappy dark witchlings together and that was it. It explained little of why there were so many people willing to do as Dawn ordered. It was not a satisfying reason at all. I still thought that it seemed so unbelievable that anyone would do as Dawn said and even died for her. It was more believable when she was possessed by Bartholomew but that was later on.

Morgan and Beck continued to find the way to solve each problems. With the help of Sam, the yeti and others, they slowly finding the ways, solving the issues one by one. Morgan risked to eventually reveal to her mother that she was alive so as she could ask about their family responsibility and secrets. She gained more knowledge of her ancestors and finally understood what she was capable of and was kinda destined to do. Morgan and Beck finally came together. With the help of Decker, Summer, Noah and Biji, they finally realized that TOGETHER was the way to solve save Dawn and either destroy or trap Bartholomew forever. Cliché and predictable but again understandable and expected. They trapped Bartholomew and saved Dawn and her daughter. HEA.

From then, there were too many loose ends to count. First, How the hell did Bartholomew possess Morgan?! She was already a light witchling then so even if the soul stone was in her hand, there was still no way Bartholomew could do that because the former book had explained that he could only possess dark witchling. Or did I miss some explanation somewhere. Not to mention the issue I continually addressed about the countless people who helped Dawn which I thought was not believable at all. The book never explained anything about what power Bartholomew possessed and how. He just knew it.

Second, What happened to Gordon and Morgan's father? Her family issues DISAPPEARED!! Like literally... Gordon appeared out of nowhere in the later part of the book. He brought his buddies to come and take Morgan back. The book subtly revealed only Bartholomew was the reason Gordon ordered Morgan to put the soul stone in the heart of the light. When Beck defended Morgan and scared him, he and his goons just left and... POOFFED!! He was gone from the book and the story forever! Nothing was addressed about him... and Morgan's father... not even appeared. As if he was never existed. Morgan seemed hell-bent on saving him in the former book and constantly worried about him but suddenly he was not an issue anymore simply because Morgan believed that Gordon was talk-and-no-action. No closure. Nothing!

Third, Dawn died. But, of course, Beck's daughter survived. Dawn was a bitch who finally did try her best to eventually save her daughter. She died and that was it. Like that's it... The point was not the fact that she died because I thought that she actually deserved it. The point was her character was not as important as it should be. Dawn, Her family... Noah... what happened? I thought that it could have been explained much better. Morgan's mother also appeared only to help Morgan with her power mystery then nothing. Even Connor appeared so little that he seemed so insignificant. Many supporting characters was just appeared when only absolute necessary and not integrated much into the book at all.

So with all those flaws, it was almost impossible for me to give the book more than 3 even 2 stars. However, I was bias to Lizzy Ford's books. I didn't know why but no matter how bad the plot completion was, I still liked her writing style and her somewhat annoying characters. Her ideas of the world would always fascinated me. I enjoyed it somewhat and really happy with the HEA even if I was in WTF moment for a little while.

Figures as soon as I meet someone I really like, I end up murdered.

This series took me FOREVER to finish. I loved the first two, the third one was alright but I found myself delaying finishing the series. Not because I didn’t want to, but, well, yeah I guess I didn’t want it to end. So in that aspect I didn’t want to, ya know.

And since I waited so long to finish the last book in this series I had a hard time remembering a lot of back story. But once I started reading I realized it was all still up there, sitting on a bookshelf collecting cobwebs, waiting for me to dust them off.

First off, let me say I’m not a real good guy kinda girl. I love me a dark, tortured soul. So Beck’s character didn’t really appeal to me. Oh, I liked him well enough, he had his own struggle, but I found him to be too good. Too nice, too forgiving, too loving. So his story didn’t really interest me that much.

But Morgan’s did! She was my dark, tortured soul! Her struggle was fricking intense! She had so much baggage, from her abuse growing up, to her feelings of unworthiness for Beck, to her repsonsibility for saving the light. She felt very deeply but didn’t allow her feelings to interfere with her duty. A woman after my own heart! She was stubborn, faithful and brilliant.

Their journey to saving the light was filled with intrigue and some pretty unredeemable characters. I loved to hate Dawn. Her heart was filled with so much hate and envy, I could parallel it to society. I felt tainted just reading about her, yuck! But in the end she got her comeupance. I love it when a plan comes together!

And now I get to add this to my #finishingthseries2018 reading challenge that we host!

OMG!!!!! If you have been following this series from the beginning you have to read this book! I love Lizzy Ford's books and this one did not disappoint, I finished it all in one sitting. This book starts off 3 months after where Winter Fire left off. It starts with Beck and we get to see where he is at and then it moves on to Morgan. We get to see both POVs and it is very interesting to see how each of them feel and what they are thinking. There is some drama, some fighting, and of course there is romance. In the beginning of the series we find out that the darkness is gaining a hold over the light and in this book we get to see what happens... if the light prevails or the dark. I do not want to give too much away because there are a lot of things that are revealed in this book that you have to read it for. Not only do we get to see how Beck and Morgan's story turns out but we also get to see some of the other main characters, that have been in the series since the beginning. We get to se how everyone's story ends up. This story does not end on a cliffhanger so those of you who are hesitant to buy because of that reason can rest assured that the story does have an ending. I recommend this series to anyone who is a fan of romance, witches, and anything paranormal because it is an amazing series that teaches a lot of things and sucks you right into the book.

Witchling Series Must Read!

I recommend the whole witchling series! It was a non stop page turner for me . I read these years ago before the 4th book so I reread them all together in about a week only because I couldn't put the books down! Without giving anything away I wish the battles were a little longer! Overall great read, good, bad, tragedy, passion and love five elements of a great book! You won't be disappointed!

Honestly, it started a little slow for me. It did begin to pick up after the first few chapters, but I had a hard time getting into it at first. In part because I like Beck, but I'm not as invested in him as I was in Decker. Beck is supposed to be the good guy, but damn, he was blind to everything that was going on around him and when things went south with Dawn, he decides to go for the one girl his brother was truly invested in. That all worked out in the end, but it didn't soften my anger with Beck. Having thought he lost Morgan and all of his work to try to fix things softened that anger and did eventually lead me to wanting him to have his HEA. I'm sure this will piss off a lot of Beck fans, but hey, I'm being real here.

Morgan was a contradiction. She was tough, but not. She'd fight, but also run when things got too emotional for her to handle. I liked her for Beck because unlike Dawn, with Morgan, you pretty much got what you saw. She didn't lie or manipulate, but she also did not back down from him. And she definitely knew his weakness with the girls and called him out on it. Not having money, and the physical abuse she suffered by her uncle definitely separates her from the other kids at camp, and I get that those can make her feel inferior along with the burden of carrying the stone. BUT, she was still a pretty strong person to head off on her own in order to protect Beck. We learn why she is unique as a fire witchling and that she was entrusted with the soul stone because of her uniqueness. Beck finally starts to come into his own, and all I can say is, about damned time. Seeing him struggle with himself and then coming to the realization that it is up to him to be who he needs to be, was refreshing. I always thought things were to easy for him.

I loved how much of Decker was in the story. It wasn't his story, but he was there when needed and seeing how he and Summer was doing were nice. All of the other secondary characters including the Turners, Biji, and Noah were back as well. There were definitely a couple of interesting twists. The one with Noah and Morgan, and the results of their experiment for one. Dawn's redemption. All in all it ended about where I was expecting.

I have been waiting for this book forever. I love this series by Lizzy Ford, really there isn't anything I don't like by Lizzy.
I really enjoyed this one. I liked that it wasn't rushed and that the story flowed well. I hope something more comes out of this series such as a spin off of another character. I just love the dynamic of Decker and Beck and light and dark and everything they have to go through to get to where they are. I also love that it isn't just them but also their counterbalances that also have to go through the trails to get to where they are.
I am glad we didn't have to wait long for Beck to find out about Morgan or maybe you did and I just read that fast and didn't pay that much attention to where it was.
I love these characters and how much spunk each one has. Each one has insecurities but they also find their strengths. They all grow in a certain way and help each other out.
Overall I really enjoyed the ending of the series and what happened to get to the point they needed to. I hope to see something more of Beck, Decker and their ladies. I have really enjoyed getting to see them grow and the banter that happens between them. I also would love to see more of Noah and Biji if a spin off were to happen.

Spring Rain, The Witchling Series book 4 by Lizzy Ford
5 stars

This final book in the series had me waiting at every turn for some new obstacle to be thrown in the path of Morgan and Beck. I loved the way that both of them had to grown and truly learn to use their gifts, find their inner strength and learn to trust and rely not only upon themselves, but also to trust others to help the and support them through the trials and struggles they each were facing.

There just couldn't have been a perfect happy ending for everyone, Dawn was still a complete train-wreck, and in the end, I think what happened to her was the best ending she could have had. Noah and Biji both make me smile, with all the things they chose to do. Decker and Summer really had become such a powerful force to be reckoned with as a couple, and a reliable source of support to those around them.

I really loved this book, and how things ended, I don't think it could have been any better without just throwing unnecessary words into the ending. I can't chose between #TeamDecker and #TeamBeck because they're both awesome!

Beck is always level headed and knows how to ease his... I guess Summer would be considered a sister-in-law's mind, "Beck smiled. “Show him, Summer. Decker will never, ever do anything to harm you. He might be overly honest about it, but he’ll support you." I liked the man Decker has become with Summer, caring, loving, and a little soft sided but that's alright, "I’m here, baby.” Tired and needing some peace from his magick and the Dark souls in his head, Decker stripped down to a boxer and t-shirt and slid into bed with Summer." Morgan is a spit fire and knows how to get Beck's blood roaring at times and I actually loved that, "would you have tried to stop me if you knew what I intended to do?” she fired back. He clenched his teeth, his jaw ticking." Beck is slowly getting his spunk back and it's due to Morgan I loved that we saw Beck's passionate side, "he groaned and kissed her hungrily with intensity that startled her, his restraint slipping. “If I … rush you or … hurt you …tell me. I’ll … stop,” he said between kisses. “Okay?" It's sad to see this series end, maybe we'll get some novellas but I'm glad to see that the boys got everything together and kicked a**.

The wait is finally over!!! I’ve enjoyed this series from the very beginning and this book was no different. Beck is finally confident in his role and taken the lead. I loved Decker in previous books but this book is definitely Beck’s turning point. Beck and Morgan have to find a way to make things work because Beck, Morgan, Decker, Summer, Binji and Noah are all key players in determining how things will turn out with Dawn and Bartholomew. The challenges they face, the battles they have to fight and the ending was perfect. I’m still left me wanting more; not because of unanswered questions but because when you love the characters you really never get enough of their story. There is no cliffhanger, but it also ends in a way where another book is possible in the future. If you haven’t read this series and you enjoy paranormal reads I would highly recommend it.

When my sister and I were little girls, we would always beg our mom to let us open a Christmas present early, so she would put gifts under the tree designed for that purpose, such as socks or a new toothbrush... Reading Spring Rain was kind of like excitedly ripping open brightly colored wrapping paper, only to find a pair of socks. Sure, I like socks. They keep my feet warm, but when you are hoping to find so much more beneath the paper, socks are a bit of a letdown.

Spring Rain is a book I've been dying to get my hands on for a long time now. I really adored the other books in the Witchlings series and couldn't wait to dive back into this world. From the moment I started reading it, however, I just felt completely disenchanted with it. The world of the Witchlings somehow lost its magic for me, somewhere between Winter Fire and Spring Rain. I hate it when that happens!

Lizzy Ford does an amazing job in the fourth book of the Witchling Series!

Beck is the Master of Light and trying to deal with the loss of someone he loves. He is fighting to keep the Light at the school, but the Dark is ever present. He has found his counterbalance in Morgan, but just as quickly as she was with him, she is gone.

Morgan is on the run. She wants nothing more than protect Beck and the other witchlings from harm. The soul stone is something she wishes she could get rid of. When she finally is able to harness some of her magic, the results are beyond what she had hoped for.

When Beck and Morgan come together they know they must never part. Their combined powers are what is needed to help save the people they care about.

I loved this book! Lizzy does a great job of pulling you into her story and making you never want to leave. If you haven't read this series I recommend you pick it up. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing... I anxiously awaited this one because of the need for closure but yet feared the end of a wonderfully written series. Each story focuses on specific characters with the need for help from secondary ones. Each character has their own trials and tribulations to face and with each trial comes sacrifice. This one is no different, and when Morgan is faced with her task she must choose the path she takes. I was anxious to see how everything played out and to see if good can over come the evil trying to destroy it. There are lots of choices to be made and each one can result in consequence of she lets the dark consume her... Will she be able to find a way to save those she loves? Or will all be lost. All I can say is wow! And leave u wanting more- I am sad to see them go but who knows maybe I will be lucky and get to see more of them

I'm not sure if this series will be continued and if not that's okay because it was an epic ending and if it counties even better. To all the adventures of the lovable and relatable characters, seeing all the old favorites and new bonding relationship between the characters. I love the female lead she's had a rough past and start but found what she was looking for, something she always had all along, her inner strength to be good enough to be loved and cared for and strong enough to face the darkness. The male lead is hilarious and sweet and will make anyone fall for his charms, charisma and big heart, reading him growing up and into his role was much needed and appreciated I thought shows he is to be taken seriously though his demeanor would suggest otherwise. Reading of the other characters was awesome though their parts small it was satisfying.

OMG OMG OMG!!! I love Lizzy Ford's books and I love the Witchling Series that she has written!!! I will start by saying this -- you HAVE to read these books in order!!! And when you read this "Spring Rain" the final book of this series -- you will be close to tears when you read the ending!!!

I don't write spoilers -- but the ending of this book sort of caught we off guard BUT I still love that the end comes down to an epic battle instead of something simple!!! The battle between the darkness and the light -- and the way that the elements have to work together -- it is truly amazing writing!!!

I will warn you - that once you start reading this series, you will find any and all of the books hard to put down!!!

I was given a copy of this book for an honest review.

Amazing ending to the Witchling series. While the Dark has stabilized after Decker has met his counterbalance, the Light is worse then ever before. Not only has the Light not grown is hundreds of years, but it's actually begun to shrunk. As Beck fights the clock to figure out what to do, he also needs to understand what role Morgan, his counterbalance, plays in this.
On the other hand, Morgan keeps trying to run as far away as possible from Beck, knowing that the burden she carries of deadly to the Light.
Lizzy Ford, as per usual, has completed another series that leaves you satisfied and happy for the ever afters.

The final book is here! I love the Witchling series and was so sad to have it come to an end. There was action and adventure in this book as with all the Witchling books. Beck, Decker, Summer Morgan, and Biji have gone through so much. I was happy with the way the series ended. I still want more, but as the saying goes "All good things must come to an end." I can't wait to see what Lizzy comes up with next.

It feels like I waited forever for this book. But it was so worth it! It picks right up where Dark Summer left off.
This is about Morgan's fight to keep the soul stone from Dawn (Bartholomew) from harming the Light witches and trial of whether she will be Dark or Light and if she can be the mate of Beck the Master of Light.
I adore all of Lizzy's books and I do recommend them to anyone that asks for book suggestions!

At first, it did not have the same grip every other Lizzy book has. I was surprised. But then I realised I was not in my normal mood. Since when can Lizzy book go wrong? NEVER.
She is an amazing writer and definitely worth spending time on. So yes. This is great just like the other books in the series. It is definitely going to keep you on edge because you just want to know what happens next. You worry about the characters and feel emotions rolling fast within you.
Perfect.

Perfect way to end a fantastic series!

I have to admit, I found myself dragging this book out much longer than normal. I have loved the Witchlings for years and wasn't quite ready to let them go. Lizzy Ford didn't disappoint! The conclusion of Beck and Decker's stories was everything I had hoped for! #TeamDecker #TeamBeck Can't I have both?

Once again blown away by the Magick that Lizzy Ford is gifted at weaving. And I must say that I might have, kinda sort, maybe, switched to Team Beck with this one. He truly comes into his own and the delicate, yet insanely magnetic love story between him and Morgan only added to his appeal. Magnificent wrap up to yet another stellar series!!!

Spring Rain by Lizzy Ford is the fourth book in the Witchling Series. It appears to be the final as there was an amazing HEA. I love these characters and have endured their struggles right along with them, but nothing prepared me for the actual battle. It was well written and riveting. Very well done.

I always love Lizzy Ford!!

This long time coming end to the Witchling Series did not disappoint! The end was phenomenal! The characters are so life like. It just shows that HEA's are possible, if you're willing to work for it. Believe in yourself and believe in others.

Beyond Awesome

It is a incredible book. I'm sad the series is done. The book kept me on the edge of my seat. I read it in one day. I couldn't put it down. It had action, love and the magic is incredible. Can't wait to read more books from this author.

Oh, how I love this series. I waited so long for this book, I couldn't wait to read this. Lizzy gave us a great ending to this series. This book was Beck's happiness. It had twists and turns that I was not expecting. Great read. Way to go Lizzy, I would rate it 10 stars if I could.

Great ending

This book ends the Witchling series in a perfect way. I love that the end comes down to a difficult epic battle instead of something simple
