Our band of wary travelers are facing insurmountable odds. A good amount of the Fragment has made the transformation into tree men, so now they are facing not only the depravity of the Fragment but an enemy with superior strength, thirst for blood and lust.

This quick bite answers many questions but still gives us enough new twists to keep you on your toes.

Jim still steals the show with his wit and humor, bringing humor to a dismal situation.

Like riding a zip line for the first time, full of anticipated tension, exciting scenes, and the unknown at the end, Tamara Rose Blodgett’s The Dark Savage 6.3 Is a quick, but thrilling ride into a world where fantasy is reality and even the bad guys can change or expose their softer side. True Alphas in every sense of the word, these men are as complex as a Rubic’s cube and have just as many sides. They treasure their territory, their power and their women. Ulrich, Alpha of the Tree people shows us a side that makes him “more” as a leader and protector, but the biggest shock is Jim, who knew he had it in him? Who knows what he will do now?

Attitude, danger, action and dialogue that gets me every time, created in short bursts (or Brief Bytes) this entire series looks to be a keeper from start to finish.

When Tamara Rose Blodgett was told to “use her words” apparently she listened and listened well! Haven’t tried a serial fantasy series yet? Afraid of that screeching halt as we near the cliff at the end? Ms. Blodgett’s post-apocalyptic world packs a lot of story into just a few well-written pages. A definite MUST ADD to your reading bucket list!

Survival of the fittest or the most fortunate? Unlikely alliances are made in the name of survival, but how long can they wait in a limbo of sorts, waiting for the other shoe to drop? The sense of restlessness is growing, life is waiting to be lived, but the danger is waiting, too. One bad decision shifts the balance between survival and death.

Throughout Tamara Rose Blodgett’s creation of this world, and each brief bite she offers, I have to say, Jim and his predicament has always stuck with me. His name comes up and I hope this will be the time he can return to his human form, could this finally be it? Will he be able to return to Earth or will he be forever stuck in this world and its dark ways?

Aaaannnnddd, once again, Tamara Rose Blodgett pours a LOT of story into just a few words and still manages to remind who wrote this with her fabulous dialogue and fully developed characters in The Dark Savage – 6.5.

The Dark Savage: 6.4 is the next addition in the serial paranormal, steampunk, scifi, fantasy by Tamara Rose Blodgett. In this installment, Jim finds himself once again in enemy hands. Betrayal, unexpected allies and intrigue surround the cast while they traverse this harsh world created by greed and evil intent.

Once again, Blodgett pulls us into her extremely vivid and imaginative world and gives us enough story to whet our appetites but keeps us coming back for more.

It’s all about the blood or DNA. The Dark Savage brings us another step deeper into the mystery behind this marvelous world of Blodgett’s imagination.

Ulric is going for the women, he wants to stop the barbaric Rite. The men who unknowingly handed the ladies over are only too happy to have Ulric’s interference if it will save the women from the unforeseen fate...but will the ladies savoir be the men's doom?

Swept into a world, as barbaric as it technologically advance, Blodgett’s dark but snarky and playful writing style brings her paranormal characters to life.
I still feel amazed how so much story is packed into a novella length tale.

What I love best about this story and series is bloody brilliant way Blodgett perfectly captures the essence of humanity in a world chuck full of paranormals.

It was all I expected and more...another amazing adventure that leaves us hanging over the cliff waiting for the next installment.

What is this, pick on Jim time? Has the man not been through enough? Has his inherent goodness not been tested to its breaking point? As a mere man, a Traveler, he was brilliant, but as he is now, he is ALPHA, and we are once again living in the world of Tamara Rose Blodgett’s making. The Dark Savage: #6.4 starts off with high density tension, deceit and altered Fragment on the attack. Is a cherished female playing both sides of the fence, knowing the tree men will not harm her, that they will fight to the death to keep her safe?

Once again, Tamara Rose Blodgett brings home another winner, steeped in intrigue, mystery, and the fight for survival in a world being invaded and manipulated by evil from Earth. A journey into Ms. Blodgett’s world is a journey into true creativity and imagination. If you can imagine it, you’ll probably find it in her work!

The Dark Savage: Alpha Warriors of the Band is a short serial story that immediately follows The Savage Dream. The story begins as Calia is about to be reunited with her family. This is on the heals of Calia, Elise, Adahy, Vaughn and Jim all being pursued by Ulric of the Tree Men through the tunnel. Will their jump in the tunnel lead peril to the band?

To avoid spoilers details will have to end there.

In this installment, we are given a fast snippet of the Savage Series. It is just enough to whet our appetites for more to come, but still leaves you wanting more.

This series is like the proverbial Timex, its characters take a licking, but they keep on going while braving whatever is thrust upon them. Author Tamara Rose Blodgett keeps the intrigue coming, the tension taut and her characters almost as breathless as her readers!

In hopes of a family reunion, Calia and company are homeward bound, but hot on their tails is danger, once again, from more than one source, as they come face to face with the legendary Tree Men, known for being vicious, secretive and protective of their territory. Will they become friend or foe as evil nips at this group in their bid for freedom and home sweet home.

Again with the signature imagination, the fearless and bold story-telling and the perfect timing and pacing of a slice of life in a world of unique creatures, Tamara Rose Blodgett dares to rush us to the cliff end and…poof, she’s gone as we cling for our lives, just hanging there waiting for the next volume in this novella series! Great break time reading, the adrenaline rush should up your production afterwards!

Strung tighter than a bow string, the tension in The Dark Savage 6.3 just keeps building.

We delve deeper into Ulric and his role as the lead alpha to the tree people, while he plays host to the group that has escaped by the skin of their teeth...but not all came away unscathed. Jim will forever be changed by his ordeal.

This story is a fast and easy read but contains complex details with even deeper insight into these characters. Jim by far has jumped right off the pages with Ulric showing us more depth then I anticipated.

The Dark Savage: 6.3 is a marvelous serial read that engulfs us into a colorful science fiction world that is absolutely mind blowing. The perfect balance of snark, action and imagination.

Where did the inhabitants of Tamara Rose Blodgett’s Savage Series come from? What lies in their DNA? Are they all distant “cousins?” There are those who would do anything to stop the Rite of the Select, some who feel their destiny and power is greater for being among the first species. As each day passes, the tension nears a boiling point and danger may become insurmountable, but again, Ms. Blodgett has doled out all she is willing to…until next time. Better than a dark soap opera, more intriguing than earthly suspense, more dangerous than traipsing through a dark forest, the world of The Dark Savage (#6.2): Alpha Warriors of the Band is unique, addicting and full of surprises.

Tamara Rose Blodgett’s characters know how to survive with style, snark and sheer force of will. Now, Tamara, can we talk about those cliffhangers? Not to worry, I LOVE them!

I never could have predicted the turn that Jim's life would take at the beginning of this elaborate tale. That one was a stunner! The introduction of new characters Adira and Natasha are bound to add layers to Ulrich and Jim's stories. As short as it was, this piece of the story was filled with exciting action throughout. There were very few down moments, though a couple of them were quite sweet. We see a side of Ulrich I didn't expect. It will be interesting to see what Jim will decide about his future in this world. And, I'm looking forward to finding out what happens to our characters next, as a couple of them were left in pretty precarious positions. I love the way the writing flows, and I'm waiting impatiently for the next book in the series!

I loved it, but it was too short! There was certainly a couple of twists that I didn't expect! There was a lot of interaction that I never would have guessed, and it changed the direction of the entire story for these characters. I can't wait to see where Tamara Rose Blodgett takes us in her next book!

Another ripper. There is always someone after the good guys and women. This time it is Ulric, alpha of the Tree Men. The men who can change into gorillas. And of course the Fragment are always around to cause more problems. Forever trying to take the women. You must read this series from the beginning. I sure would like to visit the brain of this author to see just where all the ideas come from. What an absolutely fabulous series.

This is really Jim's book, and I was thrilled when the author decided to give us more insight into the man he is and the being he becomes once he finds himself "stuck" in the world of bio-spheres and the Band and the Fragment. What he didn't count on was being chased through this world with his new friends by Ulric and members of the Clan of the Tree, who also refer to themselves as the First Species of this world. Poor Jim can't catch a break, as brilliant of a scientist and martial arts expert as he is. It seems the only thing he accomplishes, with any kind of consistency, is to cross Ulric. If he's not saying something to tick off or trick the beast, he's going to blows with him. It's not that the tree-dwelling creatures want anything more than any of the other beings on the planet want...women. As with many of the worlds Ms Blodgett has created that intertwine with this particular series, there is a shortage of women who are compatible to mate. However, there are many factions who are looking for the same thing, and these two groups of beings may have to combine their wit and strength to survive what is coming. But the one person who goes through the most changes in this set of the series is Jim. It seems he is not who he thought he was...or what he thought he was.

This is only part of the Savage series, and it really is a good idea to start from the beginning to get a full picture of how this world operates in the scheme of things. This author has managed to create multiple worlds or dimensions that bleed into each other on occasion, dropping a sometimes recognizable character into the world I'm reading. They are connected by a common thread, one I can't mention without giving away too much. But they also have one common goal...survival. I don't think it is an more significant than it is to watch this man who was a scientist on modern earth be thrown into a dimension that has seen its apocalypse. And the story is never that simple.

I love this addition the Savage series and enjoyed revisiting places and characters I've missed. Jim is one of my favorite ones, with a smart mouth that seems to always get him into trouble and mean martial arts skills that help him stay alive. Once you read one series, you find the connection with the other sets. I don't know how she keeps them straight, because each world is intricately sewn in such a way that pulling on one thread could unravel them all. I am awed by the inner workings of her mind. And as always, I'm looking forward to reading what she writes next.

Exciting Series

Very well written. Keeps the interest from beginning to the end. Wonderful characters that feel real and vital. Each book brings something new and fascinating to the story. You will not want to put these books down and will be sad when the final book is finished. Enjoy!

Disappointing

I don't know why, but this one dragged for me. Maybe it was too many side characters, or just not characters I was invested in. The whole First Species thing seemed contrived to make the girls well. And the sea clan of Massachusetts, was not how we knew bands to be from the other books.

Good read

The book started with them going through a tunnel where Ulric was after them yet Jim diverted him. They came upon the sea clan Calia's mother is wanting someone to pay for her son's death. I do wonder about Calia.

Tamara has done it again. So many books. So many series...and all awesome. 7th in the series and still original, still has story lines filling in spaces, still tells new stories within.
Is it selfish i hope they never end?
