Standalone in the rock star romance series, Pandemic Sorrow.

My life had been no fairy tale. Actually, growing up, it had been something more like a nightmare, which is why I ended up so hard. When you don't want to hurt having the ability to be numb is your best defense mechanism. And for a long time all I was doing was existing.

Jag Steele, the lead singer of the international rock band Pandemic Sorrow, was the epitome of everything I despised: arrogant, entitled, but the thing I hated most about him was that he was an addict. Drugs had been the demon that had ruined everything in my life, and anyone who had a love affair with them pretty much made my stomach turn. It brought up memories I wanted to stay buried. Needless to say, I wasn't exactly a fan of Jag.

Funny thing is, people aren't always who you expect them to be. Never in a million years would I have thought the night I meet Jag would have any significance on the rest of my life, but it did.

I found out that sometimes something that screams utter destruction might actually be your saving grace.

Some people may say our story is too screwed up to be a romance, but for two broken people, we made the pieces fit together perfectly.

Stevie Cole has yet again set the bar. Roxy is the third story in the Pandemic Sorrow Series and if you loved the other two, you will fall in love with Roxy as well. I was worried when I saw that this would be Roxy’s point of view from the Jag story. So many times you end up reading the same book twice. That is not what you will get. Do you still get an emotionally gripping, heart stopping, story dealing with love and addiction and those affected, absolutely! We learn so much more of Roxy’s history that it opens your eyes to what she was dealing with in the first book. Cole gives readers what they have come to expect in this series with a very real, and dirty account of life with drugs and the impact they have on so many lives, not just the users. I was again transported into the Pandemic Sorrow world and I hate when I have to leave. I hope there is more coming from our favorite rockers, I can't wait to one-click.

Re-Release!

I read this series back to back so full disclosure, this review is going to be combined for all three books. I will say this, it's been fun going on a ride with these guys and the entire time I kept thinking that I wanted a book for Stone. So when I got the release blitz info and saw that he was getting his own book, I might have squealed a little.

Jag is the first book in the series and it focuses on the lead singer of Pandemic Sorrow. He's a know womanizer and has a serious drug problem, which he doesn't own up to. Despite being in rehab once already. Let's say this, his story isn't pretty. Ultimately, Jag is broken and plays a persona to fit his rocker lifestyle that is expected of him but you can tell that he just wants to be loved and have something to love back. What I loved about this book is that his addiction is one of the biggest topics and Stevie holds nothing back. She really paints the picture of just how hard and overwhelming addiction can be and how it not only affects the person but those around them. When he meets, Roxy, he quickly discovers that he wants a normal relationship and he just wants to love. Roxy is perfect for him. She's broken herself but she's so strong and she doesn't take any crap from him. He really has to face some difficult situations to figure everything out.

Rush is the second book in the series and it focuses on the bassist. If I thought Jag was brash, Rush is in his own dimension. He's pretty filthy and I think he might be more of a womanizer than Jag. Yet he's had his eye on Jules, the band's assistant for years. While the two of them work out their feelings for each other, we get one dirty, filthy and crude Rush who pretty much will have sex with any woman. What I liked most about this book is the banter between Rush and Jules. She's offended by him but at the same time she can't help her attraction to him. They have a love/hate relationship that seriously had me laughing. I think Jules might be one of my favorite characters in this series. She's so hard core yet sensitive at the same time. She sure puts up with a lot of crap from all the guys and they love to rile her up. All of that is just fun.

Roxy is the third book in the series and it focuses on Jag's love. I'll be upfront and honest with you. A lot of this book is re-telling her history with Jag but from her point of view. I will admit that I did skim over some of those parts but it is to no fault of the writing or even the story. I actually think the author did a great just of making sure to add in more emotions and feels with Roxy's side so it didn't turn out a complete retelling of what happened in Jag. What we do get is Roxy's background and get a better idea of just how broken she is. Her story is raw, gritty and down right sad. From the first page, I was consumed with wanting to really get to know her and we are hit with some seriously messed up things that she endured as a child. I like that nothing was help back and it showed just how raw and emotional it is. Also, without giving away anything, the last 10% of the book really sheds light on how living with an addiction can be and I love that the author added it. It makes it more real.

Overall, I enjoyed reading this series. It was fun at times and emotionally raw a lot of times. It makes you think and it makes you feel. I enjoyed the band as a whole and have enjoyed getting each of their stories. I can't wait to get my hand on Stone's book!

This is the retelling of the Jag story but in the POV of Roxy.
Roxy has been broken by her violent childhood, and the death through drugs of her beloved brother. When she meets Jag at a concert he his everything she doesn’t need in her life; his problems with drugs and alcohol are enough to know she can’t be with him but she can’t resist.
I was so excited to hear the Stevie J Cole was giving us more Pandemic Sorrow and more Jag and I wasn't disappointed.
I loved this from the very first page to the last and as with Jag’s book I was rooting for a hea for this lovely couple. The writing was so excellence and I thought my heart was going to break in parts as we watched Roxy struggle to help the man she was in love with overcome his demons.
In alternative POV stories it’s so easy to just rehash the original however Stevie hasn’t fallen into this trap. The story is original and we get to see what happens to the family when the are forced to go back on tour, and I finally felt that Jag and Roxy had the ending they deserved.
I really can’t wait to read the next instalment, I’m really hoping Stone is next up.

I absolutely loved this story. This is my first ever read by this author. I was graciously provided an ARC copy for a Honest Review. I loved every minute of it.
Jag and Roxy completely stole my heart.

Roxy's life has been anything but, easy. She has grown up in a home where drugs and alcohol took precedence. She has had one solid foundation in her life and that was her brother, her rock, her protector. He was the only person who ever truly loved and fought for her. Unfortunately drugs has now taken him from her life leaving her broken and bitter.

Jag Steele, the hot, sexy, lead singer of Pandemic Sorrow sex god comes with his own demons. He is cocky, arrogant, and he comes with a serious drug addiction.

The road these two travel is not an easy one that is for sure. Can Roxy accept Jag and his addiction?
Can these two broken souls find the life they both desire to have?
Read the book and find

Although this is book #3 in the Pandemic Sorrow series, it can be read as a standalone.

We met Roxy in book #1 but this is her story. Her tragic tale. Grab you tissues and settle in.

Roxy had a rough start to life. Losing someone at such a young age and then having your family fall apart is hard to recover from. You either crumble or you become hardened to life...Roxy became a bitch.

There's a quote in the book that really struck a cord with me...
"This is a raw, gritty, very real fairy take. It may not be perfect, but it is f*cking beautiful."
This quote encompasses this book perfectly for me. It IS real, it IS gritty and you can't help but get swept along with Roxy.

This is essentially Roxy's story and if you've read book #1, which is Jag's story, you may think that it's just going to be a rehash....another "her view" of the same story but it isn't.

Although I enjoyed book #1, this tale really shows a completely different side. It's not a rock star story, it's much more tragic, much more hurtful and has a desperate quality that has you thinking that maybe sometimes walking away and giving up on love might be the only was to save your shredded heart.

It's hard to admit but I enjoyed this more than the first two books in this series. Despite them being good, this, for me, was just entirely different.
Give it a go, you won't regret it!

So after the first chapter, I thought, “What did I get myself into?” Let me answer that before we go any further… I got myself into one of the best rock star love stories I have ever read. Ever.

The main lady, Roxy, had a crap life. One no kid should have had, but sadly it is a reality all over the world. He mother is dead, her father is a drug addict, and her brother is dead. Because of that she has done a pretty effective job of cutting everyone out, including her only sister.

Jag, well, he is a stereotypical rocker. Cocky, overconfident, womanizing, drug using and oh, so sexy! When Roxy meets him, man, is that an awesome scene!! (No I won’t tell you what happened, read the book!)

These two are broken. Shattered doesn’t even begin to describe what these two are… And then, they start dating.

I fell more in love with this book the further I got, because this has to be one of the most real books I have read in a long time. There are no rainbows and unicorns in this world to disguise the pain. It’s there, on full display, to prove to you that even though things are broken or shattered, doesn’t mean you throw them away.

The reason I gave this book a 4.5 instead of a 5 is because there were a few parts that were repetitive. There were chapters here and there that were basically the same thing said three different ways. ~ Devlynn, 4.5 stars

OMG. AS IN OMG.

READ MY FULL REVIEW ON MY BLOG : NERDYCHAMPAGNE

Overall, this book is dramatic and dark. It did not went as dark as I was thinking when I started it but it did went through. The romance was fast, passionate, hot, too perfect, messy, and dramatic. Everyone tries to hide something from the most important person in his/her life. And there’s no such thing as secret never revealed. This story stretched out not only to the impossible romance but also to family and friends. Sometimes, there are some things that you can only do as a friend. Sometimes, the thing that you’re frantically trying to escape is the one that might save you from the chaos. And love is a dangerous game. This is a wonderful, heart-aching novel. If you really love someone, you’ll go to hell and back thrice if you need to just to be with that person. Roxy told a story like that.

This is not the kind of book you’d like to read if you’re not in the mood for a dark and depressed aura. Nevertheless, I say that you give the book a try. It ended beautifully and great things sometimes happen from the worst things.

This book was much more intense than I expected it to be. Once I started reading, I found it difficult to put down.

The second chapter was the most difficult to read. It covered an emotional day for Roxy and included some flashbacks to more abusive times in her past. It gives the reader just how hard of an upbringing she has had and why being with an addict is so difficult for her. However, I also feel that it helped her be more understanding with Jag. She knows how difficult it is to resist temptation all the time and she was there to support him, most of the time. It can be too much for anyone. Jag was lucky he found Roxy, any other woman might not have been as supportive. There were so many times my heart just broke for Roxy. You could feel her turmoil. Her head was telling her to run, as fast as she could. But her heart, well, it was drawn to Jag. There were so many ups and downs in their relationship that would drive most people apart. But when the love it true....

My heart broke for Jag. He's worked so hard to become who he is but sometimes it's just too much. He just wants someone to like him for him. The effort he puts into gaining Roxy's trust shows just how important she is to him.

I enjoyed this roller coaster of a book. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Roxy Slade never had an easy life growing up but nothing prepares her for dating Jag Steele, the lead singer of Pandemic Sorrow. She is now recognized on the streets and her private life is now out in the open.

Jag Steele's past is full of women and drugs but with Roxy he knows he can try and overcome everything he was and become someone different. But as Jag tries to clean up his life he has several people around him that are trying to bring him back down.

Can Roxy figure out what is the best path for her when it's clear that she can't change Jag and his demons and she has more than just herself to think about?

I honestly was not expecting this book to be the next book in the series. I was expecting a book about Stone and not one from Roxy's perspective. I liked reading things from her side although the book is very close to the book Jag.

Roxy hates drugs and I was so happy that it looked like Jag was going to overcome his demons for her. I think this book showed that Roxy was so torn with her love for Jag and his addiction. When Roxy learned the truth about what really happened in Georgia it made her rethink everything.

Roxy had a huge enemy and battle with James, the manager. James was going to do whatever he could to split up Roxy and Jag as he made money off of Jag and his downfalls. He leaked whatever he could to the press in order to cause conflict betweem them.

I was shocked at the interaction between Roxy and her dad and blown away by why he came back and how little he knew about everything that had happened.

I really liked the ending though and how Jag decided what to do. I still really hope that there is a book about Stone!! - By Rebecca

This story was raw and emotional. Roxy has made it through hell and back and is a fighter. Her strength is unparalleled. I enjoyed reading the story of her and Jag from her perspective, and like Jag's story it completely gutted me.

"That man had completely wrecked me. And I realized that if I had it all to do over again, the only thing I would change is that I would have given him another chance. I would have loved him for all those little pieces that were perfect, and for all those bigger flaws that made him real".

Addiction is one of those things that not only destroys the person who is addicted, but all of those around them that love them as well. Although Roxy and Jag's relationship seemed doomed from the start, and despite the secrets they kept from each other, it was so amazingly clear that they were two halves of a whole. "He needed a reality, and I needed a dream."

This story will bring you to tears, and then will allow you to hope and ultimately leaving you with a sense of peace. Stevie Cole did an AMAZING job with these two characters and the whole Pandemic Sorrow band. Her ability to tell a story with such depth and with such complex characters was astonishing. This series will stay with you for a while!

I'd like to start by supporting the fact that this book can be read as a standalone; however, having read Jag's story I didn't think it was needed.

Roxy's book gives us a more in depth view of the life she lived. The struggles she faced as a young girl and the losses she overcame. It highlighted all her strengths I saw even in Jagger's eyes. I understood all her reasons for trying to keep her distance, for trying to avoid those ever growing feelings she began to develop for Jag. She didn't want to hurt or lose anymore and with Jag, it was inevitable.

His drug use was not unfamiliar territory for Roxy. She was well aware of his struggle and amongst the hurt and pain she knew would come, she gave him a chance. She broke her own rule because she saw the Jagger that had been lost among the fame that brought him down the pit he was stuck in. She wanted so much to believe in him. All that just solidified what I already knew. Roxy was a tough chick and letting Jag into her life and her heart was the toughest thing she could have done.

This is a wonderful series!

Grab all three in the series for the price of one!

"We had to fall apart for everything to fit together, for it all to make sense."

Roxy is the retelling Jag from the leading lady's point of view and provides a perfect balance to the love story of a rock star and a girl with a pink stripe in her hair. Broken by her life beyond repair Roxy carries the scars of her tragic past within. Drawn to Jagger knowing he is her downfall she can't resist the temptation, needing just one more hit of the man that makes her feel alive until it all comes crashing down around her. He is her addiction but his unfortunately is any substance that can numb out his pain. Jag is an emotional wreck, hiding from the issues that dog him by using drugs, sex and alcohol in copious amounts to distract him from his worries. Roxy reveals how as the events transpire the reasons for why she reacted as she did and how her choices impacted on their relationship. It's a fantastic gritty read that at times is uncomfortable and simply sad. Yet it's real. It's true. Addiction is forever. There is no magic cure and it's refreshing to read a story that embraces that and reflects the truth if the situation in the storyline without hiding the starkness of the reality. I thought this to be a great addition to the series.

A four star why happens next read.

This has been my favourite of the series so far. Roxy just blew me away.
Emotionally raw this was a story of survival, of endurance and strength.
Her past was excruciating and her present with everything that she had and continued to go through with Jag as astonishing. I thought the level of strength she could draw upon was almost bottomless and this was an untainted look at the relationship she has with Jag from her own perspective.
Unlike his story, I liked her straight off the bat but that didn’t stop the fact that I was needed a breather on more than on occasion. It was powerful stuff.
The affect that addiction has on those that are close to the addict weren’t just touched upon, they were laid bare and as much as I wanted everything to be just how it needed to be, I knew that for this pair that wasn’t enough, they relationship was almost torturous but despite it all, they were two halves of the same whole and they both knew it.
For this story…if you are anything like me, you may find that tissues are not an option.

Finally we get a deeper insight into Roxy before, during and after Jax came into her life. Although we met Jax's book, this is more than just a rehash of Jags story. This book has a desperate, heartbreaking feel to it, and even though Roxy has been dealt blow after blow, this book shows you just how strong a woman she is.

Poor Roxy really hasn't had the best upbringing and finding out more about her past helped understand why she reacts why she does and why she won't let anyone close to her except her sister. She comes across as a bitch at times but it's more about protecting herself rather than been bitchy just for the sake of it.

I enjoyed this book. I've always liked Roxy and seeing things from her POV and getting into her head a bit more made me like her even more than before. The last few chapters killed me. The anxiety, the suspense of what Roxy and Jax was going to do next and the ongoing struggle with addiction was once again put across perfectly.

This author is fabulous I loved this book because it came from the POV of Roxy and the author told her side of the story so well.

The story is a lot about Jag same things addict arrogant, sexy you name it. But the author told us the same thing only from Roxy's point of view and that gave the book a great twist. The author does not sugar coat it make this story glamourous it truly is real and she has researched the lives of rockstars and incorporated them into her storytelling. Roxy has been through hell and back and is very strong, in comes jag a whole lot messed up...she has to stay away from him to protect herself but sometimes, the heart wants what the heart wants!! All though the book hhas a lot of jag in it it still is truly Roxy's story.

I recommend this to Rockstar Romance Readers be sure to grab tissues you are going to need them!!

This book is just trying too hard to be too intense. Roxy's childhood is too intensely bad. Roxy's walls are too intensely high. Jag is too intensely hot. The sex between them is too intensely good. You get the picture.
It was overwrought writing and quite frankly made the soaps I used to watch look like high art. Don't get me going on how much the words pussy/whore/vagina etc.. got thrown around. Suffice it to say I didn't like one single character (the sister is especially annoying), the sex scenes honestly left me rolling my eyes and I was at the point where everyone in the story could literally die in a drug fuelled orgy and I wouldn't have cared less after I finished yawning.

This wasn't terrible but it wasn't good either. I rounded it up to two stars from 1.6

This is Roxy's story or better yet, this is her POV.
I wished that Jag's and Roxy's books were combined so we could have had alternating POV's as it would have made the story seem more cohesive.(just my opinion)
Nonetheless, this read is more intense and more emotional as we get into Roxy's head and see the scenes unfold from her perspective.
Her pain and sorrows were highlighted and it was painful to read. Her heartaches with Jag as they got sucked into their despair.
The writing was so real this is a tough read, but I think I'm hooked.

I almost didn’t read this story because I knew it was going to be depressing. Jag sexy rockstar and lead singer has been drug free for a year and maybe this is where the story should have ended. But off they go on a ten month European tour. Jags exhausted he’s not sleeping and he’s depressed and he just doesn’t want this job anymore. It’s not a happy story but even though Jag & Roxy get their happy ending, it doesn’t feel very happy. I do recommend you read it because it’s part of the series and it’s not bad.

This is Roxy's and Jags story but in Roxy's point of view the death of her brother because of drugs. Meeting Jags and he's the last person she should fall in love with with him being a addict. Roxy's relationships with her sister Layla and so much more. It's a great book to see in Roxy's view of all the heartache she's gone thru and how much she fell in love with Jags and there HEA 4/5 stars ****Reviewed for Sweet & Spicy Read provided for a voluntarily Advanced Reader Copy of this book ****

This book is the book of the series for me and I am so glad that I carried on reading this series and not giving up. This book is real and heartbreakingly brilliant, there are no punches pulled with this book and that's what I think is great about it. The tension and drama is so real that you just get sucked right in to it.

This series although its a hard slog it completely worth the read.

Let me start out by first saying that I received this Arc in return for my honest review. I figured it sounded like a interesting story with a different plot line and so why not try it. Well I am so glad I got this book. This is my very first introduction to Stevie J. Cole's writings and I am now hooked.

Our story starts out with Roxy, who has has a difficult childhood and even a more difficult adulthood. Plagued with a life of full of loved ones who perished due to drugs and other horrific circumstances, Roxy has grown a hard outer shell. She never forms any bonds with people and feels that if she keeps them at a arms distance away, she will never have to go through the emotions of losing someone else she loves. Her only bright light is her sister, who she sworn to watch over. However fate has other plans. With a horrible encounter at a bands meet and greet, Roxy soon starts to realize that maybe she is entitled to a little happiness. But at what cost?

Jag Steele, lead singer of Pandemic Sorrow, is everything a woman desires but his encounter with hard to crack Roxy has him rethinking his game plan. He has never had this, a girl who not only hates his music but also hates him. She is rude, abrasive but there is something about her that he can't seem to get out of his head. After a few chance encounters Jag and Roxy soon hook up and realize that they have more in common than what they want to admit. He is a addict, who uses to hide his pain and fears, she has been around addiction her whole life and knows what it can do. The only thing Roxy will not tolerate is going further with Jag while he is using, but sometimes when ones heart is into a relationship, a person's ideas can change. But will it be enough?

This story is a emotional roller-coaster that focuses on two highly damaged characters who in the end are each others saviors. At certain times I found myself cringing at certain flashback scenes and could only imagine what Roxy must have went through when she was younger. The flashbacks give the reader a glimpse into her background and lets us know what caused her hard outer shell.

I for one know what it is like to live with a addict and at certain parts this story hit me like a brick. Understanding why and how Roxy was able to put up with Jag's crazy ways is hard for just about any normal person to understand. But those few of us who have either lived with a addict presently using, a newly cleaned addict or (in my case) a former addict, it is something that we struggle with every day. Just like Roxy, I found myself watching everything my husband did, trying to be everywhere he was, doing anything I could to stop his urges but sometimes it just didn't work. Like Jag, my husband had to want to get clean and had to decide that it was time to make a change.

After reading this story, I discovered it was Book 3 in this series, with Book 1 being in Jag's POV. I purchased it and after this major book hangover, I will dive into it. I can only imagine what type of emotional breakdown I will have after reading his. Also on a side note, Ms. Cole has given us supporting characters who I can't wait to hear more of. She sets up the next story lines in such a remarkable way. Well done. TOTAL 5 STAR READ!!!!!!!

As this was my first Stevie J. Cole, I had no idea that this story was one of those "told again in another point of view", such as the Love's Suicide stories { review of LOVE SURVIVES }. After learning this little tidbit...

Of course I want to go back and read it in Jagger's view (especially their first interactions)..! As this was in Roxy's point of view, we learn a lot about why she acts the way she does, her feelings and how they grow for Jag, and the parts that make her want to leave him but draw him near.

Roxy has had a rough past (one that will make your stomach cringe in the second chapter, and that's just a taste...) and by the time she meet Jag, she says she was past the bitter... She was numb. Anyone who has hit their personal rock bottom can relate.

She is a very self-aware character who knows her limitations and how to stay away from the past she so despises. She had to learn to fight for herself, because those you expected to be in your corner rarely ever were. There are times with Jag that will test these boundaries and make her question what she can handle.

With what she went through with her dad and then brother -- the man she loved with all her heart, who was supposed to always protect her -- it's amazing she fell for someone like Jagger...

...but then again, we are drawn to what we know.
I found it comical that she wanted nothing to do with Jag, and that her sister was fan-girl crazy in love with him. Sure, she had her reasons -- true, legitimate ones -- but she's the one who ends up letting him in and helping him through his own battles. Yes, when they meet, he's an arrogant ass, but by the end, the broken man in the bathroom who has his whole world to lose... You eventually grow to like him.

Roxy makes it clear she has no interest in drugged up, pretending to be sober, Jag. She didn't worship the ground he walked on, didn't sugar coat her feelings... And was exactly what he needed -- someone real.

With all of the lies and deceptions, the broken trust and betrayal, that Roxy went through in her life, it is quite amazing to me she makes it out on the other side.

Theirs was a rocky one, but if anything their road showed them, it was how to love fully and allow their family to have the joys they both missed out on.

RoxyStevie J. Cole

Roxy by Stevie J. Cole was AMAZING! I was hooked from the beginning to the end, Jag and Roxy's story was your Cinderella and Prince Charming mixed with fame and drugs. Roxy's start in life was not one to brag about, her mother died when she was six, her dad turned to drugs. She suffered more misery, betrayal and loss in her early life not one person ever deserves. She was emotionally isolated thinking this was the only way she could survive life. Even though she was cold to the world, she could never run from the emotional and physical scars she carries as her daily reminder of where she came from and what she will always deserve. The day she crossed paths with Jag Steele, the sexy Rock God and lead singer of Pandemic Sorrow, her life shifted. Her heart and mind betrayed her and she could not fight her unexplainable desire for this man. She tried to hate him, avoid him, but fate had other plans.

Jag Steele, leader singer for Pandemic Sorrow, was living life to the extreme as a famous Rock Star. He consumed himself with drugs, woman, and money. He had everything yet he was completely numb. He was another one not so perfect, he had his own inner demons that he was trying to forget. Once all the makeup, lights, drugs, and pretending stopped, Jag was real.

Jag and Roxy’s relationship was truly a raw and emotional pairing. Jag needed fixing, he needed real. Roxy was so broken from childhood, her heart was so hard towards love, and she needed also needed fixing. The two together were a strong dynamic fit for survival.

Stevie J. Cole did not make their road an easy one. Stevie bought back demons and memories which caused never ending rattle to their cages. She made it raw with grit and emotion making the story of Roxy and Jag so amazing you will not be able to put the book down. I also appreciate Stevie focusing on the story instead of sex on every other page. This book is not about sex, it is about surviving life and finding what makes you whole again. I give Roxy 5 stars!

**JODIE'S 4.5 STAR REVIEW**

“It should be clear that life is not pretty, that love is not always kind, and that the kind of romance that is shoved down our throats is a crock of shit.”

I am all about the Rock star life style, the ugliness of it, the ability they have to captivate you with every bad boy word they say. This book was no different but to me this was Rock star without the light fun. THIS WAS REAL, it was dark and honestly it was shattering. I think this was my first true glimpse into what they really feel.

“In fact, this may not even be romance because it is raw, it is ugly, and it will make you hurt, but that’s what makes it beautiful.”

Roxy had such a bad life growing up, she literally was handed when of the worst cards I have ever read. I don’t know a single woman that wouldn’t have a wall up after knowing her back story. She is an individual that has witnessed drugs and its power it can take over your life. She wasn’t a stranger to the reality of the world, the dark reality that so many think is only written in movies or books.

“Addiction. It is ugly. It is hard. And it ruins lives.”

Jag Steele is a lot of things and all of them scream Rock star dream.

“Jag Steele was a fucking rock god. He looked like a rock god, he talked like a rock god.”

He is everything I love to hate and love to love. He is arrogant, cocky, damaged, confident but as layers where taken away I fell in love with the man he was off stage. And when that man meets Roxy OMG What can I say…

“As they like to say in romance novels, I had come undone, but in a way that pretty much was unraveling each last piece of my being.”

I fell more in love with this story the more I got into the relationship. The more I read, the more this book became real. There was so much pain, so much brokenness . This is a book that proves sometimes you have to fight and sometimes you have to walk away. This story isn’t perfect there are things that are repetitive and there are parts that I felt myself skimming. But as a whole …

“This is a raw, gritty, very real fairy tale. It may not be perfect, but it is fucking beautiful.”
