This book is very average for what it is, but regardless, I always enjoy books like this. I enjoyed this way more than I expected, I really recommend reading this one.
96 pages. Slappy (creepy doll) is made from a stolen coffin. It states, "I died in this car and now it's YOUR turn." - pg. 91. The scarecrows are just YUCK! The executioner says on pg. 27 "The axe that he has sharpened is just for you." The graveyard ghouls on pg. 37-38 are YUCK! I did not like their phrase, "I need your body." There is a vampire dog - pg. 44-45 named Fifi who will "do anything for a bowl of nice, warm blood." Again YUCK! Not recommended. Horrible!
My kids have liked this book at many ages. It ties in some of their favorite monsters from the series with the movie. It's fun for different levels of readers. Early readers can read small phrases from "fact" files and more advanced readers can read the detailed descriptions.
