This is a gorgeous book, and one that I actually think would be worth owning! I enjoy looking through decorating books, and this one had several beautiful ideas that are actually achievable! The home made gift section had some odd ideas in it though, but that didn't detract from my overall enjoyment. Plus the recipe section of the book had some amazing recipes! If you enjoy decorating/holiday books, this is definitely one to check out!
One of the better Christmas Idea books I've come across, every time I look through this title, I find something new and different. A notch above the usual Holiday decorating books.
I just love Christmas books, even though I rarely try the things in them, or not many of them anyway, but I still love looking at them, especially when they are filled with beautiful pictures. The only problem I have with the pictures, and this goes for most Christmas books not just this one, whenever I try one of the recipes, while it usually tastes great, it almost never looks like that wonderful picture that got me to try it in the first place. I guess I'm better decorating houses than decorating food. :-)
A really extensive book for the Christmas Holiday. It's helpfully divided into 3 sections: Decorating Handmade Gifts/Decorations Recipes There are a ton of pictures to keep you in the spirit of the Holidays. Not all the recipes and crafts were to my taste, but there is enough variety to appeal to everyone!
Some very cute diy gift ideas. Also a good amount of recipes---and ones that can actually be made! Very user friendly--even for those not totally detailed in holiday celebrations.
I don't think y'all are ready for the storm of crafted gifts you're about to receive. Pandemic = Time Trapped At Home, that in turn = me craftin' like errrrday!
A fun library book to look through for Christmas ideas and inspiration. This was the first time I'd checked out a Christmas decorating book from the library. It was great to have on the coffee table at home to look at throughout the month. Looking forward to doing this more in the new year.
Enjoyed this book for ideas during the holiday season, but still enjoying trying some of the recipes. Beautiful photos, good recipes, and lots of ideas for gifts and decorating for the holidays. Will pull it out again next fall for holiday treats and cooking.
This was a fun book to look through. A compilation of the "best" of CountryLiving magazine. I didn't find anything I really wanted to try, but it was a nice book with lots of ideas.
Didn’t get a chance to try any of the cookie recipes before Christmas, but this book is full of lovely ideas for gifting, decorating, and feeding for Christmas. Loved the range of DIYs, even if many of them seemed a little more involved than my usual last minute preparations can facilitate, heh.
