Brandt Legg

USA TODAY Bestselling Author Brandt Legg uses his unusual real life experiences to create page-turning novels. He’s traveled with CIA agents, dined with senators and congressmen, mingled with astronauts, chatted with governors and presidential candidates, had a private conversation with a Secretary of Defense he still doesn’t like to talk about, hung out with Oscar and Grammy winners, had drinks at the State Department, been pursued by tabloid reporters, and spent a birthday at the White House by invitation from the President of the United States.

At age eight, Legg's father died suddenly, plunging his family into poverty. Two years later, while suffering from crippling migraines, he started in business, and turned a hobby into a multi-million-dollar empire. National media dubbed him the “Teen Tycoon,” and by the mid-eighties, Legg was one of the top young entrepreneurs in America, appearing as high as number twenty-four on the list (when Steve Jobs was #1, Bill Gates #4, and Michael Dell #6). Legg still jokes that he should have gone into computers.

By his twenties, after years of buying and selling businesses, leveraging, and risk-taking, the high-flying Legg became ensnarled in the financial whirlwind of the junk bond eighties. The stock market crashed and a firestorm of trouble came down. The Teen Tycoon racked up more than a million dollars in legal fees, was betrayed by those closest to him, lost his entire fortune, and ended up serving time for financial improprieties.

After a year, Legg emerged from federal prison, chastened and wiser, and began anew. More than twenty-five years later, he’s now using all that hard-earned firsthand knowledge of conspiracies, corruption and high finance to weave his tales. Legg’s books pulse with authenticity.

His series have excited nearly a million readers around the world. Although he refused an offer to make a television movie about his life as a teenage millionaire, his autobiography is in the works. There has also been interest from Hollywood to turn his thrillers into films. With any luck, one day you’ll see your favorite characters on screen.

Legg now writes full time – his favorite endeavor ever! For more information, visit BrandtLegg.com, or to contact Brandt directly, email him: Brandt@BrandtLegg.com, he loves to hear from readers and always responds!

I started Brandt's Cosega Sequence thinking it was a trilogy. I find out at the end of the book that it is more than that and I am very interested to getting the whole series for my electronic library.

The books were tight, thrilling, full of ups and downs, twists and drama. The characters are believable and interesting. The continuity of the story line is great.

I loved book one through book three and want to read the whole series as truth and fiction blend to make this possibly a real scenario. There are no real bad guys as they all believe in what they are doing is just, but is just realistic when power is corrupting all the groups and everyone wants, needs, to be on top.

When the church and state collide and secrets are unearthed people become twisted and hard. Read this series as truth is found to be stranger than fiction.

The Cosega Sequence

I am reading BRANDT LEGG's work for the first time. Incidentally this work is his first work of fiction.very interesting work and a thriller indeed. It starts with the archeological dig by Ripley Gains at Jefferson National forest and discovery of an artic act which Gains calls it EYSEN and the Vatican calls it as ATER DIES. The storey revolves around the EYESEN WHICH Vatican don't want it to be public. As Rip understands the problem he wants to date it and find out the sequence, he runs away with it and National Geographic journalist Gale Asher accompanies him. They were hounded by Vatican, FBI AND NSA . The author maintained the action packed drama and continuous suspense till the end.

I wasn’t expecting much from an archaeological “thriller”…
But I was definitely drawn in by the characters.
The plot, unbelievable in all its many twists and turns and close shaves, was still compelling and despite some far fetched parts, the blend of old and new, sci-fi tech and old-school punch-ups, all held together very well.

The detail was all in the right place and not just in some overly described, wordy embellishment. Every description mattered to the plot and everyone played their part in a huge cast of occasionally confusing but ultimately satisfying resolution.

Not sure if I’d read the follow ups as it seems like a good place to leave the story.

Very intriguing

Very well written series. Each book in the series was consistently captivating and the perspectives developed by the author are definitely thought provoking. While I sincerely enjoyed the series, I was disappointed in how the author chose to wrap it up. Based on how book three ended, I'm not going to seek out the fourth, but I did enjoy the work up to that point.

I LOVED these books and highly recommend to those who are interested in archaeology and tend to always question authority! I immediately purchased the next 3 books in the series because I don't want the tale to end. I'm so tired of the same old storylines in most mystery books. If you are too, give the Cosega Sequence a try. The author's incredible imagination will keep you spellbound...I guarantee it.

This is the first three Books in :The Cosega Sequences .

Firsts this is a good series but what preventing me from five star rating are some of the main characters . Mainly the main protagonist and his love interest to me there where other characters who had more presence than him namely Booker . Rip was to wishy-washy Gale unlikable the only characters that really liked were the bad guys and of course Booker . So I'm hoping the other books are better .

Excellent and captivating

Wow, what starts out as a simple archeological dig, becomes a worldwide witchhunt .. Various secret political and religious institutions with their own secret service agents are all out to stop the release of a discovery that may be 11 million years old. Does it really contain the true history and future of mankind. Read on and have notepad handy as the list of characters and agencies grows!

Not your average thriller!

This series of books demand praise for their exquisite writing, constant action, and mostly, the totally believable nature of the tale. Brandt Legg has excelled himself with this trilogy, I really couldn't put it down!
Well done to the author. A total triumph. I am really looking forward to book four, the Cosega Sphere.

Absolutely a pleasure to read

Adventure, well written with unexpected events intertwined with believable possibilities that tickle your mind. Quintessential page turner that leaves you wanting more, thankfully that desire is fulfilled! Immediately purchased the two available books in the series and will dig in as soon as this review is posted!

Action packed thriller that scared the devil out of me with the fear of the NSA, FBI & Vatican having that kind of power. I'm a Christian believer but can accept sciences answers if they are true. Loved & hated the different characters. I already have the Cosega Sequence in my queue. Keep them coming Brandt Legg.

I enjoyed this set. I liked how during the read the story was broken up in order to tell the different segments with what was going on with the main characters. This made it easy to follow. Each book went right into the next one very smoothly and the pace just kept going, which I enjoyed as a reader. Overall, I'm glad I gave it a read, better yet it was free so I cannot complain.

Couldn't put it down!

Really couldn't! Loved this series. Legg's writing is spot on. Adventure fast paced and believable. Morals identified and struggled with and resolved. Love interest clean and believable. Hit my inner struggle right in the middle. Looking forward to the next three books.

Within the Realm of existence

Why would anyone believe any of this?
Because it is made so Plausible if one knows anything about how the world works and who actually runs it. True it is thrilling fiction unless you already suspect some truths! This was a compelling read with excellent detail!! Thank you!

Tomorrow was yesterday

Author tries to convince reader past and future already known and some left behind artifacts are able to show it. As you guess numerous conspiracies developed to obtain these artifacts. Author keeps reader's interest as main characters dodge government/church agents.

This started out well and kept my interest until mid book two. First I got sick of the chase, then I got sick of the wait and finally tired of the multiple agencies involved. By mid book three I was no longer reading and just skipping to the last two chapters to see the end. Story idea was good but the amount of useless information was just too much for me.

Foolish

Another I found the deep dark secret and the Vatican is trying to kill me novel. As the bodies pile up the intelligent reader asks "why not post the find on social media?" Of course that would end the endless chase. Pathetic.

Interesting concept but this trilogy was seemed to ramble on and on. The same things seemed to happen over and over until everything was quickly wrapped up to a conclusion

Wow, what a page Turner, and one where parts of it have to be read carefully. If you happen to be of the religious persuasion, you might want to skip this one. Especially if you are a Catholic. Many interesting philosophical dissertations.

Thought provoking

Interesting series, jumps around alot which makes a bit hard to follow the many groups involved in the chase. This entire series is a chase. More comes together in the third book, but each book leaves you hanging.

Good Read

A past civilization that is unknown until an artifact is brought to light. This then reveals a conspiracy between agencies of the government and the Vatican. The action just doesn't stop.

Worthwhile

As a single book this is a great read and well worth the time spent. If this was still separate books I probably wouldn’t bother as the split between volumes is contains no complete episode.

Good sci-fi. Couldn't put it in any other genre. These are the first 3 in the series. Basically it is a giant chase. Many competing interests trying to get their hands on the prize. Will probably read further ones, too. Hope they are not just more chases.

Couldn’t put it down!!

Cliffhanger after cliffhanger. Twists and turns were real nail bitters. Spider web of intrigue and betrayals, with the good guys escaping by the skin of their teeth.
Loved it!!

Wow! What a fabulous read! So, here we have conspiracies between the Catholic Church (including the Pope), the FBI, the NSA, The Attorney General from the US, the President of the US and many, many more characters. Quite the adventure, all starting from an archeological dig in Virginia.

I thought that this was an okay read. It was well paced, with both conspiracy and mysticism. Effectively this is one long book containing a lot of running away from multiple agencies and a lightweight hunt for clues.
