After looking through the first part of this Delphi Leonardo da Vinci's works, which basically were paintings by him or he had a part in some of the portrait, I decide to hold off on his notebook and other numerous biographies until I am ready to learn more of him.

"Leonardo was born on 15 April 1452 in the Tuscan hill town of Vinci, in the lower valley of the Arno river, then part of the Medici-ruled Republic of Florence. He was the out-of-wedlock son of the wealthy Florentine legal notary Messer Piero Fruosino di Antonio da Vinci and Caterina, a peasant girl."

Having heard about da Vinci since I was a kid and who does not know the "Mona Lisa", I was able to see more paintings and drawings which I found the drawings many times more enthralling to look at then the paintings. He was indeed a master artist and much more but I must admit Vermeer is still my favorite due to his objects seemed more real.
I am talking more about the background because Leonardo knew how to draw and paint humans. He has expert skill in his work but his mountain scenes and background seems unnatural in a way, that is the way I see it and I am sure many think I am foolish for this thought but be it what it may, it is how I see it.

I love the way he draws horses and many other drawings of females heads like Leda, which are so gracious and some quite solemn.

For those who want to delve into more of his notebook and biographies, this is perfect for you!💖

Lots of fun read Leonardo’s studies specially his thoughts on light and perspective. Hey, even he would benefit from being born after Newton (reusing Dawkins words). I bet he would also be delighted to know that no one managed to decode his notebooks. This is a big book, even including the museums where his paints are these days; feeling like a da Vince expert!
