That awkward moment when my review is bound to be shorter than the blurb itself. Sorry but I believe if I told you anything more about the story I'd spoil things majorly, so I'll leave it at the blurb and tell you something more about my feelings for the Induction Day.

Firstly you should know that this book is a sequel to Butterman (Time) Travel, Inc., a book that took me by surprise last year and which made me wait desperately for the sequel. Not because it ended with the cliffy but simply I wanted to see where Bianca will travel to next. It took me some time to fully grasp her idea. Yes she did have best thoughts when it comes to that and I would be tempted to do the same if I had a chance, but still it's also completely logical that if things completely changed the history would as well. But luckily for me, once again same as with the travel back to Woodstock the author managed to create a feeling like things have changed without actually doing some major changes.

Another thing that nicely developed in this book was the romance, which started to grow and while nice and really emotional, still with me wanting to jump into this story and slap Tristan once or twice. Bianca gave him more chances than I ever would.

This book while mostly dealing with old elements at the end gave us something new to think about, a new possibility that changed the whole idea and this whole world. Somehow I feel like there is space to do more about it, but still we leave things like this I'd be happy with it. So, maybe one day.

Hmmmmm. I had a REALLY hard time trying to decide what to rate this. I can't really say what I liked, and didn't, without giving spoilers. Mainly, it kept my attention and kept me interested, despite issues with it, so I gave it a 3.

Everything I know about time travel I learned from Dr. Emmett Brown and Marty McFLy (Back to the Future movies) and Meg and Charles Wallace Murray (A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle).

I guess it goes without saying that I’m not a time traveling expert but I do know that there are rules.

You don’t bring stuff back with you, you limit your interactions with others, and you should never ever meet your future or past self.

There’s also a whole bunch of scientific stuff that can happen. Things like time paradoxes and ripple effects. I’m not built to wrap my brain around all the consequences that can occur by breaking the rules but I do know that those ripples and paradoxes are always things that equal some seriously bad mojo.

I ask what good is time travel if all you can do is stand around and observe? Heck, that’s what the history channel is for. Thankfully author PK Hrezo seems to be of the same mindset and doesn’t mind breaking all the rules or letting her characters do the same.

Of course when you break the rules there are consequences and Induction Day begins by throwing us right into the problems caused by Bianca’s and Tristan’s time traveling escapades in Book 1, Butterman Time Travel, Inc.

Book 2 delivers the same action packed adventure of book 1 but this time we are joining Bianca and Tristan as Bianca finally gets her Induction Day.

She and Tristan travel back in time to the Titanic, four hours before the fatal iceberg crash. The story is full of action, adventure, and romance all delivered at a fast pace that keeps you turning the pages.

The future is high tech but believable and the time travel combined with the drama surrounding the family business makes for a great continuing storyline.

Induction Day is an excellent addition to the Butterman Travel Series. I look forward to my next trip with Bianca and Tristan.

P.S. Tristan still gets on my nerves with his drug issues and excuses. I’m still not in love with him and believe that Bianca can do better…just throwing that out there.

Did I enjoy this book: I really did enjoy this book. It was just as good as the first book, Butterman (Time) Travel, Inc.

Induction Day grabbed me from the beginning, held onto me through the middle, and wouldn’t let go of me at the end. In fact, it has such a hold on me that I cannot wait until the third book is released. (I’m not sure when it will be released, but I wish it were out right now!!!!)

There’s action. There’s love. There’s excitement. There’s sadness. And there’s the Titanic. If that’s not enough to get you interested, there’s also time travel that sounds plausible. What more can you hope for!

I love Bianca and Tristan. They make such a good pair. Garth is a bitch with an ax to grind. She’s a great character. Bianca’s parents . . . I haven’t figured them out yet. At times they seem so naive while at other times they seem to know exactly what they are doing. I’m just not sure about them. And I can’t wait to see what role a certain crewman aboard the Titanic has to play in this series. (At least, I’m hoping he plays a role.)

Would I recommend it: Be sure to read book 1, Butterman (Time) Travel, Inc., first.

I'm DNFing this one for now. It's ok, and I probably would have finished it if it had been on audio. But it's hard for me to find time for Kindle reading and I wasn't enjoying this one as much as the first.

Disclaimer: I received this book from Candaces Book Blog Promotions in exchange for an honest review.

Background &Backstory
I was planning, somewhere on my lengthy TBR, to read this book, after all, I had sincerely enjoyed Butterman (Time) Travel, Inc back in January and wanted to know what happened next. I just hadn't planned on reading it as soon as I did in November. Yet, sometime in October, Candace's Book Blog Promotions when they inquired about me wanting to participate in the Induction Day blog tour. I thought, "What the hey?" I liked the first book, I already wanted to read the second, I love supporting authors I have previously worked with. I'll do the tour.

What Was My Reaction After I Finished This Book?
That was.... somewhat confusing, sequel PLEASE

Pro | Solidity/Deliverance: In terms of self/independently-published books I have read for promotional events, Butterman (Time) Travel, Inc is on my top three list. The first book had an extremely strong plot, interesting take on time travel, a swoon worthy romance, and well-developed characters. I am so happy to say that the sequel, Induction Day, was just as strong and solid of a sequel, delivering on my expectations after reading Butterman (Time) Travel, Inc. Sophomore Slumps are a common occurrence amongst all authors and I was so appreciative for Induction Day carrying out my wishes as a reader (I don't sound entitled at all :p).

Con | The Feeling of Wanting More Well-Roundedness : In Butterman (Time) Travel, Inc. The story's setting and focus had a lot more variety. So, while Induction Day was satisfying to me in terms of reading enjoyment, it was not nearly as diverse in terms of where, what, how, why, when everything was taking place. Butterman (Time) Travel, Inc. was a big bucket of crazy (of the good variety). Yet, Induction Day was centered in only Alaska and the Titanic versus the multiple locations of Butterman (Time) Travel, Inc. I had just wanted a wider scope of vision in Bianca's world and didn't receive it. What I will point out is the fact that this novel did serve as an excellent foundation for the next book.

Pro | Characters & Romance: Butterman (Time) Travel, Inc allowed us to see into the minds, form opinions, and get to know Bianca and Tristan, our leading man and lady. Induction Day put our preconceived ideas of the two of them to the test. The raw, grittiness of Tristan's smoking hot character was upheld with all of the recent issues with his drug addiction. Bianca's Butterman's choice of judgement and intelligence was challenged with her Induction Day, and I respected her so much as a character because of it. On top of that, even though this novel is classified as New Adult (by default with the protagonist's ages), but the two of them have not been to the intimate level so many teenaged book character get to by at least the second book. I commend Hrezo so much for making Bianca hold so strongly to her moral beliefs about her virginity. The couple's relationship was also put to the test. They argued, yet as any reader/author duo knows, that is what makes the story stronger and more believable.

Con | Confusion With Time Travel: Time Travel has always been an extremely confuzzling concept for our inapt human minds to handle. Therefore we are bound to not understand. Butterman (Time) Travel, Inc. did not have me confused with this concept, but because Induction Day built on what I had already learned in Butterman (Time) Travel, Inc. everything was just multiplied in terms of complexity. P.K. Hrezo did a brilliant job of going into detail with this concept and designing her own rules for this peculiar concept. Therefore it is a personal thing only, with the matter of my finding this book a tad confusing when it came to the time travel aspects.

How Likely Is It That I Will Read The Sequel To This Book?
40%
Since beginning to book blog/vlog, I have needed to prioritize my TBR and make sure that my bookish needs were satisfied above anything else. (Yes, I am aware about how selfish that sounds) I try my best to only read books that I truly want to read. Therefore, I probably won't obtain this book purely on my own want for a sequel, but most definitely, if the opportunity to promote/support the next book comes up, I will take it.

Conclusion: A solid, satisfying, fast-paced sequel that delivered everything I expected.

This novel starts out just a few weeks after the last novel ended. It took me just a little bit of time to remember what had happened at the end of the last book and to get me going in this book. I couldn't remember if there had been a cliffhanger or what. But apparently not as there is no big save in the beginning. A sweet romance is brewing between Tristan and Brianna, continued from the last novel but it has it troubles. And it is NOT a love triangle.

Butterman Travel, in fact all time travel agencies, are being hounded by D
OT. They pay enormous amounts of taxes and other fees that make time travel accessible only to the very rich. Butterman Travel wants all the people to have access to time travel but can't seem to get out from under the DOT's thumb. Particularly a woman named Graves who pretends, in this novel, to only want what's best for Butterman. So when some bad publicity hits Butterman Travel due to Bianca and Tristan's relationship and certain allusions to some past infractions that may or may not have happened in Bianca's and Tristan's last time trip (Butterman (Time) Travel Inc. Book 1, DOT, via Graves, believes that Bianca's Induction Day should be broadcast for the world to see.

I have to say that Bianca, who has been in the business, learning it since the age of ten is a lot more comfortable with that idea than I would be. I don't want anyone watching me even make a post, but driving what sounds like a miniature space shuttle into a time chute with precision and accuracy onto the Titanic just hours before it sinks sounds like a great way to die. Or a horrific way to die. I know a lot of people are Titanic fans, wanting to know more and more about it, but I tend the other way. I know what happens and I don't want to read about it. I'll let you find out if you get to experience anything from the Titanic.

The best thing about Bianca's Induction Day was going to be that she saved the Titanic. She was going to create a parallel universe so that all of the people survived and she would erase her trail so the DOT would never know. But with the whole world watching and DOT scrutinizing her every move, she can't do it. So all her years of planning and scientific equations and memorizing dates and times, it's all for nothing. Or at least that's what she believes as she starts out on her Induction Day journey. Oh, and one more little monkey wrench, the DOT thinks it would be a good idea if Tristan went with Bianca. Just to show how safe of a pilot Bianca is at 18.

The ending is frustrating, not as in cliffie or anything like that, but you feel the characters' feeling of damned if you do and damned if you don't. Their hands were tied at the outset of Bianca's Induction Day, she couldn't refuse them and what DOT does at the end is so unfair, yet not unexpected. But the revelations that come from Ms. Graves, those shake the foundations of Butterman Travel and I have to wonder if and what will happen to Butterman travel now.

This is an incredibly fast book to read. But this is the second book in the series, so do make sure to read the first book in the series. These need to be read in order. The time travel will not have you confused as an actual time travel vehicle is used to travel through time and space. It's an easy concept to grasp. There is a little bit of sex in it but it's almost off the page. There is also talk of drug use and a little bit of swearing. I believe 13-14 and up should be able to handle it.

Thanks to the author for a review copy of this novel for the purposes of the tour. I was in no way influenced in my review.

I’m completely stunned by the Butterman Travel series. I love time travel. I’ve loved time travel since the first few 100 pages of Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander. I’ve been looking for lighter, shorter fixes for my time travel addiction and while I’ve found some suitable fixes they are usually a bit deeper and male-focused than I’m looking for. I believe I finally found what was I was looking for with the Butterman Travel series by P.K. Hrezo.

With just enough spunk and ingenuity, Bianca Butterman waltzed into my life and captured my imagination. With her obsession of the Titanic I knew I had found my next book girlfriend. I wanted to know more about Bianca, become her best friend and travel through time with her. I wanted to help her figure out Garth’s next move and hold Tristan down while she kicked his ass.

One of my favorite things about the time travel in the series is that it doesn’t get too bogged down in the science. It’s there and it certainly plays a part in the bigger picture that connects Bianca and Tristan together. However, the character development and mystery of how everyone is connected plays a bigger part in driving the story forward. The science of time travel only gets explained when it’s necessary and I didn’t feel completely confused when it was explained.

Out of the 2 books and one novella, currently in the series, I think the descriptions of the Titanic in Induction Day were amazing. Like Bianca, the Titanic disaster has intrigued me. I was in elementary school when they discovered it on the ocean floor and I remember my parents letting me stay up to watch the 10 o’clock news to see the pictures from the submarine. In 2012, I participated in a reading group of survivor stories via our Metro Library Network. I could feel Bianca’s desire to save everyone on board and the shocking realization of the desperation on board. I’ll be honest, I got a bit teary-eyed during her exchanges with Quincy and Adelaide.

Overall, the Butterman Travel series by P.K. Hrezo receives a thumbs up. If you are looking for a lighter time travel novel with a bit of a steamy side and well-round, good-head-on-her-shoulders heroine, I would definitely recommend checking out the series. I’m only disappointed that I have to wait several months for book 3 to be released. I want to know more about this crazy connection between Bianca, Agent Garth and Tristan.

Induction Day is the second book in the Butterman Time Travel Series, in this book we follow Bianca on her much awaited Induction Day but it's not quite as she'd planned.

Following on from the previous book Bianca is now Tristan's girlfriend and the press have not missed the opportunity to exploit that fact. So with the media now following the couple's every move and hover cams flying around in their faces they have to face life in the spot light for a while.

I'm not telling you any more than that because I don't want you to think you've read everything you need to know. I would completely recommend this series whether you're a Time Travel fan or not. If you're in to romance there is something in them for you, if you're in to time travel then you'll enjoy it too. The science behind Butterman Time Travel is mentioned a lot and I'm amazed to see that Hrezo has not compromised this science in any of the three books. They're all singing from the same sheet and that is amazing. Many authors get mixed up with their continuity with much simpler storylines than this one!

Hrezo's characters have a depth to them that means you feel like you know them. To me these were real, living, breathing people between the pages telling me their story. I was hooked, I've nearly missed a great many bus stops and it always seems to be a good bit when I'm having to put the book down. I picked up this particular book in an evening when I was sitting at home and read from the 50% mark to the end before even moving for a drink! It felt almost like I didn't blink during my reading session too.

I do think I may have developed an unhealthy obsession with Bianca's life, I've devoured the three books in a very short space of time and absolutely loved the ride! I can't wait to get my hands on the next book but it hasn't even been written yet so I'm waiting on something completely unknown now! It's very very exciting!

I certainly recommend reading these books, I've really enjoyed them and I'll certainly be reading more PK Hrezo in the future.

I give this one 3.5 out of 5.

Staring of the book was nice and I was slightly getting the idea where it might lead but then few pages into it and it was not able to hold my attention. With all the media frenzy and stalking it got a bit dull for me and I dragged myself through those parts. But author is not to be blamed here, as those parts were necessary for the awesome time travel which came after all this craziness. Not liking those parts is my personal problem (you can call it a problem), it's just that I don't really like people stalking and invading the privacy of others. And then came the awesome part almost after 30% of the story when the preparation of the new time travel began.
I really loved how beautifully author depicted the scenes and people on the ship just few hours before the tragedy. I felt really anxious and sad as if I was on the ship with Bianca trying to do what she had always dreamed of doing - saving 1500 lives.
I had all these what if's? running through my head like a bullet train when they were on titanic and even after the completion of the story I have few more questions like: after time travel has there been any changes to the history of Titanic? The Souvenir that Bianca got, what happened to it's owner? etc. well I hope to get few of my answers in next book.

Overall a satisfying read with the new and blossoming teenage love. And whats a story without Drama, action and emotions. :P

Once again we find ourselves at Butterman Time Travel, and it is finally time for Bianca Butterman, heir to the family business, to have her Induction Day. She has proven she can handle being a tour guide and is now officially licensed, and she wants to make a difference ... and her difference is travelling back in time to save the Titanic. But will she succeed? There is a 100-year rule for the DOT and the Titanic is well over that time limit. Bianca faces a dilemma - to break the rules and do what she has always wanted to do, or let it go.

Now that she is dating Tristan Helms the Golden Boy of Pop everything she does is being watched and she just knows the government is monitoring her activities with time-travel. And Agent Garth is hot on her trail, even asking to travel with her on the next journey. But she faces another problem - Tristan has fallen off the wagon and Bianca has to try to save him from himself while trying to save 1500 people on the Titanic. Can she do it?

I loved the vulnerability that Tristan has in this book - in the first book he was such a famous albeit arrogant star, but here we get to see that he is really as human as the rest of the world. He feels bad for causing trouble for Bianca, and the passion that they share for each other just made my heart pitter-patter. I am really hoping for a third book in this series, I want to hear more stories from Butterman Time Travel! Another amazing book with even more edge of your seat action than the first :)

I received a complimentary ebook to read for this review.

Induction Day is a fun, involving time travel romp which continues the story of Bianca Butterman, a teenager born into a time travelling dynasty. I have not read the first book in this series, but I will definitely do so now. However, there was enough information in this sequel to fully enjoy it without having read the first installment.

Bianca is a likeable heroine, who wants nothing more than to carry out her Induction Day to become a fully accredited time traveller. However, thanks to the machinations of her nemesis, there is a lot more at stake than she bargained for, and the question is, will she be able to succeed under pressure? The author did a good job of keeping me cheering her on to find out.

There are a lot of creative elements to this novel, particularly the time travel technology, and the central time period in which it takes place (2069), with its omnipresent social media and flying papparazzi cameras, is unfortunately all too feasible given the way we seem to be going now.

The story is quite fast-paced towards the end, and I didn't see all the twists coming. The way is open for more books in the series, which I look forward to reading!

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Following on from the first novel, Bianca Butterman goes back in time to visit the Titanic as her Induction Day after officially getting her time-craft license, and naturally, things go horribly wrong!

It was kind of cool to read about people that would have been on the Titanic and their roles just prior to the ship hitting the iceberg. But my favourite parts were in the present time, where Bianca and Tristan's relationship is unfolding.

The writing is really, really good. I was actually surprised to find out this is a self published series. It most definitely doesn’t read like one (or at least, many I have read previously). Obviously a lot of time and care has gone into every aspect of it, and it really shows!

I’m certainly curious about the potential for more in this series and where it will go. The writing is strong and the plot good, making for a great novel that I definitely recommend!

Induction Day is an amazing sequel to Butterman Time Travel, Inc. In this story, Bianca and Tristan face the consequences of their time trip to Manhattan and Woodstock, as well as the Rewrite to the timeline. Reporters and paparazzi swarm around them. Butterman Travel is facing serious allegations, Tristan relapses, and Agent Garth returns. Then Bianca travels back in time to Titanic four hours before it hits the iceberg. PK Hrezo's writing is flawless. She surrounds you with the magnificent beauty of Titanic and puts you right into the danger. I was biting my nails and holding back the urge to cry. This story is a winner!
