I read, I believe, most of the books in this series before my reviewing days and while they were okay this one always stood out to me as being the best and most fun one.

I love how everyone has a part to play in their little adventure and seeing these Norse inspired, snow dwelling characters react to the desert was quite funny as well as being realistic.

What wasn’t realistic was Sven jumping off a ship into a rowboat without capsizing or sinking it, not to mention Kristoff catches him and I’m sorry but there’s no way he caught an adult reindeer without being flattened! 😂 And later on Sven also crawls under an overturned rowboat (as shown in the illustration, the text just says boat, I believe) with three adult humans which just isn’t possible, though I did get a good snicker at what that would look like! I think the author forgot just how large a reindeer truly is—with antlers no less!—that may or may not pass by a kid’s notice, lol. 😆

A fun little adventure that fits into the Frozen universe nicely and one I’d recommend even if you don’t care to read the rest of the series (knowledge of those isn’t necessary to read and understand this one!).

As a school librarian, I tend to avoid books that are movies written in book form. The Anna & Elsa books are new stories set in Arendelle. So, if you've got a kid who is still crazy about Disney's Frozen this is a great series for them.

This title caught my attention because Olaf tells Elsa of a queen who has summer magic similar to her ice magic and lives in a kingdom of eternal summer. So Elsa along with Anna, Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf set out on a journey to meet this queen and help her with her magic. However, The summer queen doesn't actually have any magic and it is always summer in her kingdom because they live in a desert climate. So if you or your kids are reading this with the anticipation of meeting Elsa's firey counterpart the ending is a bit anticlimactic. With that said it is a cute story and fans of Frozen will still enjoy Olaf's crazy antics and getting to see Elsa a bit out of her element.

I liked this one a little bit better than All Hail the Queen, but still it was underwhelming and written in a rather bland and 2D way. Once more, rather worried that this author is gonna make me dislike Elsa, Anna and Frozen more than I would like to, because I quite like the movies and the rather deep themes they have going on :S xD Characterization could have been better in this book as well. I know this is a children's book, but I'm not asking for super elaborate writing styles or incredibly deep themes, I'm asking for better characterization and more engaging prose 😅.

There's quite a lot of female bonding ♀️👍 in the story, between Elsa and Anna, between Elsa and an Eldoran weaver woman, and between Elsa and Queen Marisol of Eldora. It’s refreshing compared to many other children’s media and fairytales, but it’s unfortunately not enough to really save the way these stories depict other issues :S

The adventure travel plot is also a bit more engaging than the other short stories I've read in this collection so far, but it's also regrettably filled with rather cringeworthy plot points which follow typical Disney problematic conceptions about the class system, and also some ideas veering into cultural stereotypes and colonialism quite a lot 😬😕. I talk about these issues lengthily on my Blogger, because the time I spent reading this book I was steadily more and more frustrated about it :S xD

I read this book called “Anna & Elsa, sisterhood is the strongest magic”. I really like this book ‘cause it’s magical and really interesting, the characters have personality, and it makes you want to read more. I gave it 4 stars ‘cause it was interesting, the drawings were really good, but it’s really short. This book is technically about some friends that want to visit an eternal summer land ‘cause they think the queen has powers like Elsa, and they want to help her to control them. I don’t think this book relates to my Hero’s Journey, ‘cause I don’t think I can relate to any character or situation. Maybe the only thing is that I prefer going on a trip with friends and family than going alone. But, anyway, this book inspired me to read more books about characters that I like. I would recommend this book to people that like short books and about Disney princesses, ‘cause the book is short and from Disney princesses Anna & Elsa.

I didn't like this one quite as much as the first two books in the series, but it was still well-written and interesting. In this one, Anna and Elsa set off with Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven to help the Summer Queen stop a never-ending summer. With the way it was written, I thought the ending was pretty predictable, but it was an interesting way to tackle the idea of different cultures/environments.

As with the other two books, great illustrations that go well with the text. While this one wasn't my favorite in the series, I still think it is a fun Frozen adventure and that this is a great series, especially for those Frozen fans who want to see more of their favorite characters.

Another surprisingly fun read in this series! What IF there were a summer queen that had summer powers to contrast Elsa's?? Of course they would want to find her and help her and become friends! I was honestly interested the whole time. A lot of this book you are left in suspense until they finally find her and then it basically ends. :P Of course, she didn't really have powers but a part of me wondered if she really did!

My four-year-old picked this out, because she likes Frozen. After finishing, I asked her if she didn't mind if we didn't get anymore of them, because she didn't seem to like it. I was worried I was wrong & it would hurt her feelings. She didn't even pause before agreeing with me. Great, so it wasn't just me. It is possible she might've liked it more if she were older.

My daughter seemed to like this fine, but it was pretty flat. Lots of things happening not a lot of character driven stuff. Kristoff and Sven, and even Olaf were pretty much afterthoughts to the plot.

As much as it's locked in by continuity, I wish this book could have ended the other way. Also, it seems odd to me that Anna and Elsa, being the ages they are, seem to know absolutely nothing about the kingdoms surroundin Arendelle.

Listen, anything to develop the love of reading. We read a chapter a night at bedtime and when we finished, little one brought home two more so we can keep reading. For that alone, it gets five stars ;)

This was cute. A simple, straightforward story - very predictable in its outcome. I can't say anything about this book really blew me away, but my Frozen obsessed 6 yr old thoroughly enjoyed it so I'm sure we'll be reading more in the series.

I loved the premise of the problem in this book. There is a kingdom where the weather is super hot, and Elsa & Anna assume that something has happened to their queen, similar to what happened to Elsa, just with heat instead of ice. It's a fun adventure and resolution!
