I was nearly tempted to give this volume a second star, but the stories are just excuses to reveal boobs and slapstick is not a great advance on locker room humor.

Da ich die Bände gerade hintereinander weg lese, würde sich hier wirklich alles wiederholen, was ich zu sagen habe. Der Band ist wieder in vier Kurzgeschichten aufgeteilt, die lose miteinander zusammenhängen. Ich habe keine Ahnung wie der/die Mangaka immer wieder auf so ausgefallene/interessante/unterhaltsame Geschichten kommt. Auch das alle bereits bekannten Charaktere wieder mindestens einen kleinen Auftritt bekommen, liebe ich. Jeder Charakter ist so individuell und es kommen auch immer wieder neue dazu. Der neueste Charakter ist eine Dullahan, was mir vorher noch gar nichts sagte. Der Charakter geht wieder eher in Richtung Zerea (Zentaur) und das ist ja das Fabelwesen, was ich von den Mädels am wenigsten mag. Dementsprechend bin ich auch kein großer Fan von Lala (Dullahan), aber das ist für mich trotzdem kein Kritikpunkt. Ich liebe die Szenen mit Papi und Sue am meisten und hoffe immer noch, dass sich Kimihito (männl. Protagonist) irgendwann tatsächlich für Mia entscheidet, aber ich denke die Reihe wird niemals in die Richtung gehen. Auch damit kann ich komischerweise leben. Wie schon in den vorherigen Reviews gesagt, ist die Reihe wirklich nichts für jedermann, aber mich zieht sie momentan so sehr in den Bann wie keine andere. Der Humor liegt mir einfach, auch wenn es hier sehr viel Fanservice gibt. Hier stört es mich nicht, obwohl es wirklich extrem viel ist. Es stimmt einfach diese Mischung aus Humor, interessanter Story und tollen Charakteren. Kimihito hat so eine beeindruckende Entwicklung durchgemacht und zeigt mittlerweile so viel Verantwortung und trotzdem bleibt alles so witzig.
Der Zeichenstil ist einfach genial. Ich liebe ihn abgöttisch. Er ist so witzig und ich liebe ja Mischwesen.

One of the most original and exciting manga of the 2010's, Monster Musume is a refreshing and enjoyable take on the monster girl genre of Japan. A warning, this series is definitely for people over the age of 18, as there is a lot of nudity and sexual situations that parents may find unsettling in the story. In the not to distant future, a race called liminals, creatures who are half human and half animal, has made contact with the human race and initiate a cultural exchange, to allow liminals to experience and integrate into human society. One such liminal, Mia, a lamia, is accidentally placed with a hapless human student named Kimihito, and decides to remain with him as both a student and a love interest. During the course of the series, we meet, among other things, a harpy, a centaur, a mermaid, and many more monster girls who fall for Kimihito and wish to win him anyway possible. I would encourage this for all adult fans who enjoy comedy manga, harem manga and slice of life stories.
