Nanna is a sweet, little old lady - or so she'd like you to believe. Too bad the cops investigating Adam Bitzer’s death don’t buy it for a second. And worse, they think she’s the one responsible for Adam’s death…
Just when Tiffany was ready to take a break from being a Private Investigator, she's pushed back into the thick of things. Along with some help from her friends Ian, Stone and Jack, Tiffany must uncover the truth about what happened to Adam - before it's too late...
Red Roses in Las Vegas is a cozy mystery by A.R. Winters with a PI Tiffany Black at it's centre.
The story starts with the murder of Tiffany's Nanna's finance manager's murder and Nanna being accused of the crime. It is a race against time to prove Nanna innocent and also find the real culprit. This was a fun ligh-hearted and humorous at times read. But I did not like the personality of a few characters like Nanna and Ian. The MC herself was good though which made the book bearable imo.
The suspense of the book was the only thing that made the entire book worth it for me because I didn't see that coming at all. The last paragraph of the book also intrigued me enough that it's possible I might pick up the next book just to satisfy my curiosity.
This is a fun, light-hearted series even though it deals with murder. I like Tiffany even though I am not quite sure how she manages to solve any cases. Her friends and family are fun and I really like Jack. Looking forward to more Jack and Tiffany.
I very much enjoyed the story. However, I would like a little more progress with the main character's development of relationships with other characters. Tiffany seems stymied in her growth. Also the person responsible for editing this story really slacked off. Spelling of words was fine but there were several missing words that helped with the flow and several times the wrong word was used. I had to re-read several sentences to figure out what the author was trying to convey.
Fun and adventure in Vegas. A good cozy mystery with great people.
this is the third book in her series of Tiffany Black. as with the last two books Tiffany is reluctant to investigate a murder until her Nana is involved. it has the start of a romance and lots of helpful people. this is a fun read and you can't help but get invested in this series.
This is a great series. I picked up the first one because it was free on Amazon. Usually those are hit or miss, but this one was definitely a hit. I am cranking thru these books faster than I normally do.
Tiff is on an unconventional date with Jack when they hear a murder happening in an office they shouldn't be in. Answering questions from the police they have little to go on. The next day Tiff's nanna is accused of the murder. The guy murdered was investing her money and lost it all. Tiff & Ian are on the case to clear nanna's name. The victim was a boring likable guy with no red flags and friends and family say the same bland things about him. Frustrating dead ends lead nowhere and nanna's time is running out. With a little help from Stone and Jack, Tiff and Ian investigate some rich elite women that take the case in a whole new direction putting Tiffany in grave danger.
I love this series! Quirky and fun, bonus points for it taking place in Vegas, one of my most favorite places to travel to! I actually read this one waiting for my flight to Las Vegas. Only downside? Only the first two are available in print, which is my favorite way to read. However, I just recently bought a Kindle, because as I love to travel and I read A LOT, lugging books everywhere just gets heavy. I trial ran with a Kindle and added this book with my new Kindle Unlimited I am trying out and it is a game changer! I didn't realize there are over 20+ books in the series, so lots of reading material to come!
Enough about my new venture into a new method of reading. This series takes place in Vegas, and follows a card dealer that has a little P.I. business on the side. She has a fun loving grandma, and uptight mother, and a chaotic love life. It is like the Stephanie Plum series by Evanovich, but shorter books and based in Vegas. It is a feel good book that keeps the laughter coming and is never disappointing.
I like Tiffany Black she can be a little annoying at times but her cupcake loving butt gets the job done. This cozy mystery series I think is funny. Nana cracks me up and geez Tiffany parents are a hoot especially her mother because she is always trying to set Tiffany up on a date. In this one Nana finds herself in trouble with the law she is accused of killing her broker because she was seen with him and was upset at him for losing a good chunk of her investment. Tiffany and the gang are on the case. Tiffany solves the case to save her Nana. Ian is still pestering Tiffany to let him invest in her private eye business. Stone makes his way back in he is so mysterious but is always their for Tiffany when she needs him. Tiffany is quirky the conversations between the characters can get annoying but it is still entertaining. It is fast paced. If you like your cozy mysteries a little quirky then this series is for you.

Red Roses in Vegas is the third book in A.R. Winters' Tiffany Black mystery series. Its about a casino dealer trying to become a full time private investigator in city of Las Vegas. She's now three for three in solving her first three cases, with this one being very important to her in that it involved proving the innocence of a family member.
Winters has done a nice job so far in the series making each story interesting, with good pace and developing interesting charaters surrounding Tiffany Black who I find likeable, fun, humerous, and gaining confidence in her skills as a PI in each novel. While still a solid mystery novel, Winters provides a nice change of pace with her style with more character quirkiness and humor making it a little lighter rather than darker which I can appreciate.
Tiffany Black's grandmother is accused of murder. After investing nine thousand dollars with Adam Bitzer he had managed to loose all her money. She was not a happy person and basically non too pleased with him. According to the police people had witnessed her yelling and threatening him. Who was it really? Tiffany is on a time crunch to find the true killer before her grandmother is indicted for a crime she did not commit.
Light hearted cozy mystery. Tiffany Black is a dealer in a casino on the strip in Las Vegas. I really like the setting for this series. The glamour of the strip and then the complete ordinariness of the rest of the town was endearing for some reason. Tiffany can be a lot of ditz (think Stephanie Plum by Janet Evanovich) but it wasn't too bad. I adore Ian and I love her Nanna. I loved that this mystery was all about her! Sure it was fairly predictable but it was an enjoyable read. Jack is alright I guess - kind of seems like a bit of an idiot.
Living in Las Vegas doesn't make you jaded or cynical. But your Nanna being accused of murder might. Tiffany struggles with this story. She is uncomfortable throughout. Will she figure it out in this book or maybe the next? I gave RED ROSES in LAS VEGAS: A Humorous Tiffany Black Mystery, Three Stars, meaning "I liked this book." It is a solid approval rating that I do not give lightly.
I've power read all three of these books, and truly love the realistic crimes combined with the vibrant personalities that seem to fit right in with what I'd expect in Vegas. Her characters are all charming - and I'm already crushing on Stone and Jack. Part of me wants more of them, part of me enjoys the tease. Nanna is still my all time favorite! Can't wait for book 4!
I am really liking this series and the characters. I do not give this 5 stars because the editing could be improved. (Spelling and using the word "to" instead of the correct "too"....stuff like that.) Also, I don't like the use of learnt in place of learned unless it's part of a regional dialect. And since this is set in current times I found the use of fortnight odd. However, putting that aside, I would recommend this book and I plan to continue reading the series.
Great mystery with a lot of humor thrown in. Although I'm still trying to figure out if Tiffany's new partner is smarter than he lets on, if I'm rooting for Jack or Stone, if Jack is one of those devishly handsome men who turn out to be a whole lot of trouble in the end, and just what Stone's angle with Tiffany is.
I read the first & second, how could I resist the third. Good editing, fun mystery series...I only wish A.R. would describe what Tiffany looks like now and again. She needs to be appreciated and recognized more than just her eating habits. Just stating a fact that I forget what she even looks like.
Did I mention that I LOVE this series? The stories are well written. It keeps me guessing what will happen next all while laughing hysterically. I don't have a favorite character because I like them all. They each have something that makes me like them. Needles to say I'm always anxiously waiting for the next in the series.
Tiffany Black is a card dealer in a Las Vegas casino by day and a fledgling private investigator by night. This installment of the cozy mystery series finds her trying to prove that her grandmother didn't shoot a financial planner who lost a chunk of her money in a risky investment. It's a cute little mystery and a fast read, good for a weekend at the beach.
I started these as “research” for my genre, and now I just love them and keep reading. My one complaint is the alluding sentence at the end of the book into the next one. In my mind it breaks the story’s character for her to have foreknowledge. Hopefully the kitten gets a doggy friend!
A Funny Tiffany Black in Law Vegas murder mystery.
Tiffany is a blackjack dealer in a Vegas casino. She is trying to become a private investigator. This time, her Nanna is arrested for murder and Tiffany must find the real killer. She gets herself into dangerous situations while her Mother tries to set her up with all the wrong guys. This is a fun mystery.
The third of the series and for my part I was left on my appetite!! The plot was kind of so,so and the characters were like almost all disconnected. so I like it but it is really not the best of the author.
Even better story than the others with an ending that surprised. However, I am dropping one star for some minor copy editing flaws that didn't show up in earlier books. Can't wait to see what happens next.
This again is another wonderful Tiffany Black book although I would love orbiting mentioned more of her personal life. Now I just have to patiently wait for the next book to come out!
Love that this series ( and author) is is easy to read. The books are funny, lead into each other and only get better as the series progresses. Some funny stuff!
So far, I've enjoyed the entire series. They're humorous and keep you on your toes wanting to read more. I have a hard time pausing, once I've started the book. Nana will have you literally laughing out loud.
I like a good cozy as much as the next gal. This wasn't bad, but it was bland, even as cozies go. The crux of the plot fell flat, and the side plots were barely there. It's good if you need to kill a little time, but not exactly amazing.
I appreciated that some of the secondary characters are bring more developed as the story progresses. There do seem to be a lot of typos and missing words in general though, which makes it a little hard to follow.
I am enjoying this series. Similar to another author that writes about a bail bondsman triangle. I like that it is funny and keeps me going until the final reveal. Thanks!
These aren't amazing stories but I like the characters. Once the 'money situation' was revealed I knew exactly who the killer was but not the full why of the story. I will continue on to the next book.
