Hunter lost a bet at a blackjack table and begrudgingly traded temperate Southern California for the sweltering heat of Las Vegas. There she resides with an extremely tolerant husband and two cats named after her favorite beverages, Latte and Java.

When she’s not dreaming of returning to coastal living, Hunter works at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, from where she recently received her Master’s in British history. In order to appease her muse, she writes the kind of fiction that keeps her sane. She adores romance in all forms, but prefers her stories with two heroes that find their happily-ever-afters with each other.

If you want something sweet then go no further, as awkward IT tech Sean, crushes hard on the hot UPS guy who makes frequent deliveries at his work.

One night, Sean has to wait for a shipment after hours and of course, fortuitously gets trapped in the elevator with “Mr. Brown”.

Shenanigans ensue.

This is not all superficial, as this “unfortunate” incident ends up changing Sean’s outlook on things, thus affecting his entire life trajectory for the better.

Short sexy feel good!

Geeky tech boy and hot UPS delivery guy.
IMO, Hunter Frost nailed this one. Why? Because
1. It's a short story that's actually short. Perfect for a little break during the day,
2. It's hot (okay, I'm sure that's not unexpected), and
3. It's also kinda sweet. Like, I could actually believe these guys could make it.
Very fun read!

Short, sweet, and sexy, this is the revised edition of "What Can Brown Do For You?", originally published in Torquere Press's Men in Uniform anthology. Definitely worth a read if you're in the mood for a quick pick-me-up.

A review by the Blogger Girls.

This one cute, sweet, hot little story. I absolutely loved geeky Sean who has one bad thing happen after another on the day the UPS guy actually notices him. As things continue to go badly for him, the power outage that resulted in his having to cancel important gaming plans to stay late at work, also ends up bring Sean and his dreamy UPS guy together.

In a stalled elevator, these two get to know one another, finding out they have more in common than anyone would think from appearances. Turns out that hunky UPS guy, Rob, likes to get his geek on as well. They chat about that and about Rob’s aspirations of becoming a fireman and taking chances, all of which encourage Sean to take a chance with Rob.

This was a super cute, fast read that I found completely enjoyable. It grabbed my interest right away and left me wishing there was more to the story. These guys were only just getting started, and what I saw of that only had me wishing I could see them going all the way. I definitely recommend this if you’re looking for a quick, steamy but sweet, pick me up. I am looking forward to seeing more from Ms. Hunter in the future.

Overall Impression: I really liked it

This cute, funny wish-fulfillment short was formerly known as "What Can Brown Do For You?" I loved the self-deprecating voice of Sean, the geeky IT guy who (along with all the women in his office) moons over "Mr. Brown," a sinfully sexy UPS deliveryman.

While I don't usually give a star rating to short stories, I thought this deserved to be an exception. Slight as it is, it has a high ratio of humor to pages.

Mr. Brown was definitely looking at me. Holy shit. I’m not sure what happened next because my brain short-circuited like a fried electrical socket. Good to know in times of crisis I was completely useless.

~~~
I slid my palms up his stomach, relishing the curves of his muscles. “Love your hands,” he murmured, and I silently thanked my lifetime avoidance of manual labor.
I like Hunter Frost's style, although this is quite a different read to A Thoreau Affair, in that it is more laid back, chatty, and in first person. The main character is a nerdy geek IT guy with low self-esteem. The object of his fascination - the UPS guy - evokes images in the mind's eye like a certain carbonated drink's advertising campaign.
You get the idea, I'm sure.
There is some dodgy editing early on, but get past that and the story flows beautifully, with the usual M/M "intimate" liaison and an optimistic morning after.
The characters connect well, and there are no major surprises. Just a feel-good short romance.
Who says nerds aren’t sexy? Software techie and WoW champ meets hot UPS guy very cute. Well, hello, Mr. Brown.
“I knew what fantasy was: hobbits, Mordor, Gandalf, and hot gay UPS guys who fucked like porn stars and cuddled with me in our custom-wallpapered bedrooms.”
Hunter Frost’s Delivery or Destiny is a short story gem! I’m a sucker for short stories. Sometimes a little shot of fiction or fun is just what I need to escape a crappy day. Plus this story includes a couple of my weaknesses—elevator loving and adorable geekiness!
Sean has been lusting after the UPS guy, along with all the ladies in the office. But Sean has been watching from afar, too shy to even say hello. All that changes though when a power outage locks Sean and his fantasy together in the elevator. He has to talk to him now! Right? Haha….
This story made me laugh out loud! I’m smiling now just thinking about Sean’s clumsiness and day. He’s hilarious! If you’re looking for a quick, sweet, HOT pick me up, this story is for you! I mean come on! We have a gorgeous guy in uniform described as “wise, hot, and dabbles in geek” paired up with a bespectacled tech cutie—what more can you ask for? Ms. Frost gives us just enough to smile and sigh about, but also leaves some for the imagination to dream about later. I love a story that makes me wonder about the main characters days later. Like what is Sean doing now with his UPS hottie or how loud does he scream when he….*cough* Sorry. I’ll fantasize on my own time…. :D
Pick this one up. It delivers!
I’m going to hunt down more from Hunter Frost for sure.
What a fun story! I loved Sean! He was such a fun, funny, sarcastic character. And Rob is so cute too. Sean's inner monologue had me rolling. His clumsy, nervous behavior was so spot on. I cannot wait to read more from this author :)
Geeky IT guy and hunky UPS guy in a very sweet, fun and sexy short story. I received a copy of this book from the author at GRL 2016. This is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it very much. Short enough to read in one sitting, it was a lovely afternoon, feel good read.
Ok, that was pretty darn cute. Pair a geeky and clumsy IT guy together with a hot UPS guy, and I'm for it. The only problem was length.
An absolutely DELIGHTFUL short!! Frost establishes the tone early in the story with humor, as Sean being smitten with Rob, the UPS guy along with every woman in his office. There are a few mishaps -- embarrassing ones at that -- before Sean gets the chance to be alone with Rob and makes his move.
It's the kind of short story that works the limitation of the length very, very well. Although personally, I want less sex and more talking about themselves when Sean and Rob are both (). But hey, that's MY reading preference :)
Cute story about a geeky IT guy named Sean and the hot UPS man who comes around the office every day. The UPS man has Sean totally flustered and even more clumsy than usual, until they end up stuck in an elevator together (thanks to a power outage) and Sean discovers all kinds of stuff... Needless to say, neither of them is unaffected by the hot goings-on that ensue and their relationship is soon off and running.
If you like men in uniform and shy geeks who come out of their shell for hot men, if you appreciate some humor in your romance, and if you're looking for a short, sexy read, then you will probably like this short story.
Well, that certainly hit the spot!
We have geek tech wizard, Sean, lusting after the seemingly unattainable Greek God of a UPS man, Rob.
We have cute encounters ranging from sweet and awkward, to hot, and back again.
We have an MC who provides charming, and often hilarious, inner monologues, which ooze pop culture awesomeness.
We have sexy times in an elevator. I repeat: SEXY TIMES IN AN ELEVATOR.
That's all you need to know, so go forth and read this perfect little time filler at your pleasure.
Okay, I am sorry, but I have never had a courier fantasy. But hey, if that is what does it for you, I am all for it. For Sean Barlow, the UPS guy is literally his walking wet dream. Too bad, said wet dream spends his time flirting (and being flirted) with the women in the office. Until those gorgeous eyes turn Sean’s way.
3.5 stars - A very cute story of an uninspired geek just putting in his time at the job and a hot UPS guy making all the ladies swoon. Shake these two up in an elevator stuck between floors during a power outage and you get some very hot action. Fun read.
This is a revised version of What Can Brown Do For You?. I've had that book on my TBR for a while, so it was nice to read the revised version. This was a short story about an IT geek who finds out "What Brown Can Do For Him" when the two get stuck in an elevator.
Short. Sweet. Hot.
I liked it.
I kind of wish it was longer so that we could see their actual relationship blooming. But I get that this was just a short story.
I totally emphasis with Sean and his 'i'll take this job for the short term- 5 years later I'm still there'. Only I can assure you he was better paid, and there was actual promotion progression. Sigh.... wouldn't that be nice.
Anyway... this was enjoyable.
Very short story about Sean, a computer geek, and Rob, a hot delivery man and how dreams can come true. Kudos to the author for writing a story that has a desirable hot MC; i.e., Sean, who does not have what society deems a perfect body. Would have liked it to be longer so we can have more character development and watch their relationship grow.
Although Sean is obsessed with the UPS guy along with the rest of the women in the office, he never in a million years believes that the man will be anything but a fantasy. Due to a series of events, Sean is trapped with him and as they get to know one another, Sean finds the courage to do exactly what he wants for the first time in his life. A great short read!!
Super cute forced proximity short story about a geeky IT guy stuck in an elevator with the hot UPS man. I loved the original title "What can Brown DO for You." But can understand changing it so no uptight execs at UPS get their undies in a bunch.
