I've been a Suzanne Wright fan since the beginning and this series will always hold a special place in my heart. Especially book one and Knox and Harper, obviously. I also really enjoyed so many of the other couples. And being that book one was originally meant to be a standalone, I feel so lucky-reader that we all got so many books from this series.

That said, this was not quite what I expected from what Wright has deemed the final book. The chemistry wasn't all the way there for me between Luka and Naomi. Or just in the book in general. It lacked any explosive quality and/or character revisits/wrap-ups that I would expect from the final book of a beloved, long-running series.

I also never thought I would say this, but the formula I have always shamelessly said I would love no matter what....felt a little staid here; however, Wright did basically say that she wrote this amidst massive burnout, so my heart goes out to her for that.

Anyway, I love this series and this fine. I surely re-read for years to come.

SW just announced on IG that this will be THE LAST BOOK IN THE SERIES!!! Nooooo 😭 And it’s about Luka and Naomi… except, who is Naomi?? No one we've heard of before. And Luka??? According to SW, if you’ve read Viper, you’ll know who Luka is.

Well, I read Viper, and my reaction was: Luka who?? 😂 So, to save you the trouble, I went back and checked—turns out, he’s Ella’s anchor.

So yep, SW is pulling a Nalini Singh and continuing the series with a couple no one really cares about. Kinda disappointing, but let’s be real—I’m still going to read it and hope for the best! 🤷‍♀️

** I'm still hoping for a spin-off series either with the hell-horses or the fallen angels #fingerscrossed

COVER REVEAL

Jan 14th

I wonder who this story will be about 🤔... Idk if I'd rather go back to the hell-horse group with Teague or stick to the fallen angels. Either way, I know I'm going to enjoy it.

I can’t believe this series has come to an end, and it’s been one I’ve loved so much and reread countless times. That’s why it hurts a little to admit this final book was my least favorite. I wanted to love it the way I loved the others, but I just couldn’t connect with the characters or care about the main couple. After following this world for so long, I was hoping for a finale that would sweep me away, so it’s bittersweet to say goodbye on such a disappointing note.

I'm sorry it's over; I'm also looking forward to what Suzanne has in store for us next.

The last book in the series! That's a little bit sad, but it's time, I think.

I loved that the FMC in this book was an utter badass. I mean, Wright's FMCs generally are, but Naomi was particularly great. She wasn't damsel'd ... something that generally happens in these books because the alpha MMC needs to feel needed. Naomi has some shit going on, but she saves herself. I liked that. Not that Luka didn't contribute, but still. IDK, sometimes I want to read not that they need each other for practical reasons (i.e., save her!), but because they CHOOSE each other.

But it's a good wrap point because one thing about pnr is that it becomes hard to top yourself. Each book kind of needs the leads to be more impressive than the previous in some way (so you don't just long for the original couple ... something I struggle with, which is why I rarely stick it out in long pnr series like Psy-Changeling or BDB), and eventually it just all gets overblown.

5 stars!

An epic end to an epic series. I truly believe this story deserves all the stars. I’m legitimately sad about it being the last book. While I didn’t love every book in this series, Knox, Maddox and Luka are my favorites.

I loved the action in here. I loved Luka and all his possessiveness and alpha male energy. I loved Naomi and her strength and all around badassery. I loved their internal demons. It was so nice to really get that piece back. I loved all the side characters. The story was fun, funny and fresh and there was one revelation I didn’t even see coming.

Luka and Naomi were HOT together. The smut was smutting. I just loved this.

“I didn’t anticipate that you’d become this important to me. I never saw it coming. Feels like it crept up on me somehow. We might not have admitted it to ourselves or to each other, but what we now have is as far from shallow as it can get. I have zero intention of changing that, or of letting you go.”

Suzanne, you rocked this story. I can’t say I’m happy to see this world end but I’m also looking forward to what you’ll stir up next. Thanks for the ride!

Finally, the end of this standalone series. I honestly didn't think I would be here, 10 years later. Phew, we've come so far, guys.

In this one, we have a brand new couple, hinted at from the last book. Ella's anchor (the one with three separate demon entities) and this mysterious girl who belonged in Jolene's lair (the siren). Both were emotionally distant and went into a situationship where they bang each other out of their system but of course, we all know how that story will end. In the meantime, we have disgruntled other woman drama, a guy who won't take 'no' as an answer, shady art deals and a cult. That pretty much sums up all the external plot.

Honestly, I kinda expected a more explosive ending to this series. I was waiting for a huge shift in the world or some sort of new revelation. At the very least, a cute conclusion for all couples. But alas, we didn't get any of that. With how much focus was being shown on the next generation babies, I refuse to believe that this is the last book we'll ever see any of them. Hence, my expectation.

But, as a standalone story of its own. It's actually on par with the rest of the series. It was average, in comparison to the weakest book and the best one. It could be a little bit better if we see more emotional depth to these characters. I felt like the stoicism of them bled out too much for me to sense their chemistry together. Plus, a little bit of humour wouldn't hurt to lighten the tone. It just felt too monotone for me, with bursts of excitement only here and there.

All in all, it was a decent ending to the series. Like I said, I kinda expected more. But, if you're a huge lover of this series, I think you'll enjoy it, just for the characters themselves.

REVIEW

I often think I have gotten used to the SZ formula for these books, but I am happily surprised by how much I still enjoy it. Though I have lost the sense of urgency and thrill with them, that used to reel me in hook, line and sinker; I always know I am going to get a good plot out of SZ, and that it will be fun enough to keep me engaged.

Naomi and Luka were fun. These two are comfortable in their own personalities, and together made for a page-turner. I liked how Luka didn't especially become aware of the 'problem' even halfway through the book. It did my badass-FL-seeking-heart some good.

Anyhow, I loved being in SZ world after so long. Never found another author with this right combination of tropes. Though I did hear this book was the last in the series, I wish SZ would keep writing and writing and writing...

And I shall strive to read them all.

Its the end of an era and I'm so sad. This is my most re-listened to series. When I say that I mean I have probably listened to this series over 100 times, especially Burn.

It's my happy place, my warm comfy read and my productive audio at the same time. What is a productive audio? Well, its the book I put on when I need to get shit done in my house or work. The book that I can get lost into, even though I can recite it at this point.

My only complaint.... I feel like there should have been a scene at the end with all the boys talking about their crazy as fuck mates.

While I don't think everyone will appreciate this series the way I do, I will just keep starting over. I mean honestly, I'm already almost done with my second listen of this book.

I can't wait to see what SW does next, but nothing will ever top this series for me.

Has it really been ten years? This book concludes one of my favorite series. I've re-read it so many times. I didn't want it to end! I wanted it to jump into time and give us books for Asher and Anais and the rest of the kids. Perhaps Suzanne Wright will revisit that idea at a later time? Fingers crossed? Anyway, on to the review of this book..

I thought Luka's character was super interesting in Ella and Viper's book. Having three demons brought another interesting twist to the different characters in this universe, and I was excited to read his story. Little did I know that the most interesting twist in the book came from his girl, Naomi! I won't spoil things, but I loved the origins of her story. The concept of who she is and the cool factor of Luka's demons should have set up an epic story to end the series, but it fell short for me. I wanted SO much more from this story. And overall, as the ending to such a great series, it felt underwhelming. How can the series end without any Knox scenes? Though Suzanne Wright can do no wrong in my eyes, I admit this was a super uninspired end to a series.. 3/3.5 stars.

This took me forever to finish…I was on vacation but this was just very easy to put down. I do love SW and this series and there were things I liked, but also many random plot elements, deaths, etc that I didn’t like. Idk just not the best and not a great ending to this series, but the pairings were getting pretty random so I guess it had to stop somewhere. I am curious if there will be any spinoffs from this series…

Legion is book 11 in The Dark in You series and it's the final book. I've decided to keep this review short because I have loved this series, especially Knox and Harper. Unfortunately, just like Viper's book I didn't love Legion either. While I loved Luca and his three demons, I just did not feel any connection between him and Naomi. They hooked up really quickly but spent the majority of the book living separate lives and Naomi keeping secrets. I felt like this book was just a repeat of Knox and Harper but with Naomi having a secret to keep and being very powerful. I loved seeing all the female characters from the series, but it felt so forced when Naomi was included. So, while I'm sad for this series to end I think it's time because for me the connection that was between Harper and her girls and Knox and his Sentinels cannot be replicated.

When I heard about this final book of the series, I was sceptical. Luka (the male lead) was a secondary character who featured in the previous book, which also revolved around two secondary characters. For me, this felt like milking the concept and it being simply a money-making exercise as it had seemed to have strayed too far from the core group.

The female lead character - Naomi, is a brand new character who has never appeared in any previous books. It quickly becomes apparent as to just who she is and who she is related to, which adds a surprising aspect to the story. However, having read all the books in the series, her ancestry and the fact she knows the character Chloe very well does now produce a rather large plot hole for a previous story.

As this was the final book in this series, I was still keen to read it, despite my reservations, simply as I'd read all the others and I wanted complete what I started. Also, because it was at that point when I discovered the first book in this series, which brought Suzanne Wright to my attention, and I have since gone on to read everything she has written and her work has become my go to guilty pleasure.

Back to this story, though, I had reservations as I didn't particularly like the character Luka in the previous book, so my expectations weren't altogether high going into it. However, I was pleasantly surprised, and this really was a thoroughly entertaining story. Especially when it became clear Naomi was far more powerful and deadly than Luka. Many of the established characters made cameo appearances throughout and while Suzanne Wright has a basic formula which she sticks to with inevitable helpings of smut but this story also seemed to me to have almost a fable like message, not only about trust but also about the dangers of having blind faith and how blind faith and zealous religious beliefs aren't always a particularly good thing especially when those who profess to be good and holy are sometimes the polar opposite and those who lead such religions are not always what they seem and often have hidden agendas of their own.

Seriously. Knowing this is the end makes me want to blubber my days away. I have been there for every release. Burn is my most read/ listened to book period.
To put that into perspective... I can average two 400/500 books a day easily. I have averaged that and more through certain periods of my life over the past few years, and I've been reading religiously since 2012. That's ALOT of books, and yet Burn is the one I always go back to. My paperback is so loved it looks beaten.
This series being over? .. honestly, I'll mourn the loss more than the loss of some family members. It is so hard to find a comfort author who just gets it perfect every time for you, and she is that, and this series is home to me. So am I being dramatic? I mean to some, maybe.. but also let me cry into my Skittles and Cuppa in peace, ok?

I just can't believe it.

Anywho..

Naomi.. gah, I loved her. Strong, independent, and takes no bull. She's everything I love in an FMC.

Luka is delectable, overbearing, overprotective, and arrogant. He doesn't share, but he treasures his things well, and good lort was he wicked in the best sense.

The side characters are always a joy bringing life to the pages with their extra personalities. Lou is a character I will forever wish we knew more of. Jolene is the same. The banter, bickering, and outrageous shenanigans? I live for it.

Suzanne did a phenomenal job as always in pulling me into the story and keeping me invested. I loved all the twists and revelations.
Of course, there were times I wished for more, but honestly, I feel like this was a perfect ending to a truly great series. I'm just greedy.

I suppose I have to accept this is it and move forward to the next series upcoming from her!. How exciting!!!

Okay i'm going to be a bit harsh here but i feel like this book wasn't necessary ? Honestly the spin off with Viper's motorcycle club has potential but this couple felt like out of nowhere and unecessary ^^
I love this author and read every book but you could feel here that it was a book for the sake of getting out a book. There's not really a love story, he decide they are going to hook up, he wants more (you don't even know why because you don't read about them connecting, it's just told)
There's a bunch of bad guys as usual and that felt like the most developped part honestly ^^
Though, as usual the writing is very good so i was into it.

“So, to review, you want –?”
“You. Often. Whenever and wherever. However I want.”

Legion is the eleventh and final instalment in the adult paranormal romance series, Dark in You. Each book (with the exception of the first 3) are interconnected standalones. Written in third person POV the story follows Naomi and Luka, a siren who works as a ghost artist and a legion who is a prime to a crime syndicate.

Naomi as a siren is used to attention but when her last fling decides to not take a hint she needs help to get this handled, which means having her prime, Jolene, contact Luka, a crime syndicate boss and the prime of her ex-boyfriend to get him under control. Naomi has felt something for the intimidating and serious legion prime with his three demonic entities but when he decides to pursue her she decides he's worth the risk...even if it is only temporarily. When something dark begins to lurk and places a target on Naomi's back it becomes clear that only their demons may be able to confront their foes if they are willing to bear it all…together.

Naomi is so much fun! I love the different facets to her from her need for anonymity, her love of art, and her secrets. She is powerful in her own right and doesn't need someone to save her but she is down for some companionship and someone to meet her on her level. I like seeing her control even during the chaos that means she will fight to the bitter end for the people she loves.

Luka is dark and cold and feral and I love it. He has no qualms with hurting those who do not listen or follow his command but when he becomes attached he is all in. I found the dynamic of his three entities to be fascinating and the way they each offered Naomi something different. They are dominant like Luka and seeing them all on the same page was such fun. Watching Luka come to embrace that he wants
Naomi for more than just spice was perfection because his reaction? GOLD!

“I have no idea how you did it, how you circumvented every defense I have, but you did. So here we are. It’s done…There’s no going back now. Now for me, and not for you.”

In terms of spice I would place this at 3.5 spicy peppers out of 5 spicy peppers. We start seeing spice around the 20% mark with about 7 spicy scenes spread throughout. These two enter a physical relationship early on that is exclusive but isn't meant to be deep...and that promptly falls apart as they both become hooked. The spice is HAWT - it is explicit and detailed with a focus on dominance. Luka's three entities all participate and they like to mark Naomi and hold her down. What makes this spice great is that it highlights just how feral these two are for each other because they hold nothing back. So good!

The story itself has an investigation/mystery vibe with a touch of stalking thanks to Naomi's ex boyfriend. I really enjoyed the overarching plot around a mysterious group targeting Naomi as it really upped the action in the story while also delivering tension as we slowly learn why they're after her. Naomi keeps secrets from even the readers which I love that kind of unravelling in books. The romance drew me from the start because of the chemistry of these two and the banter between them - Luka may come off cool and aloof but he is HOOKED and he wants everything from Naomi and, boy, does she make him work for it. I found the side characters were well developed and supported out characters like Naomi's psi-bond and we also get to see our beloved cast from the series overall. Lou got an interesting role in this book I was not expecting. There are plenty of slices of life amongst everything and boy does Naomi know how to stand her own. The ending was kick butt and I like how it let our main characters shine. I just wish the series wasn't over...

Overall, I adore this series and this book really brought it to a close in a way that has me wanting to dive right back in!

Thank you Little Brown for this review copy!

I’m too emotional because it’s the last book. I need a minute

This was a 5-star because of the love I have for this series and these characters. But overall, it felt more like a 4-star read.

Luka was everything I wanted and more. I loved his multiple demons, how each had a name, a personality, and a different fixation. He was down bad for Naomi, and the way he pursued her was hot as hell (pun intended). Did I want more of a connection developing? Yes. The way they fell in love felt a little sudden, because we only saw a couple of interactions mixed in with the plot. I wanted more spice, more emphasis on the brands, more shows of care outside of protectiveness.

Naomi was an incredible surprise, and I loved her, her lore, and her powerful ass demon. She was a badass, and I totally understood her need for secrecy. I loved the way the OG girls pulled her into the fold, how she took no shit from men getting snared, because it was not her fault, and how, at the same time, she was empathetic enough to feel sad for them.

So sad that this series is over, because I have read and reread every single book at least twice. I am excited, though. Suzanne can write a two-page instruction on how to operate a washing machine, and I would read it.

And her new book about a witch and a werewolf is coming December...is it December already?

Quotes:

"So, to review, you want—"
"You. Often. Whenever and wherever. However I want."

"I'm going to take you. Use you like the plaything I'll make you. And then I'll use you some more."

"I'm an instant-gratification girl."
"You're my girl for the time being, so you'll get gratification when I decide—not before."

"I didn't anticipate that you'd become this important to me. I never saw it coming.(…) I have zero intention of changing that, or of letting you go."

"I've never before felt an urge to irrevocably claim someone as mine. But you I refuse to part with."

"When it comes to you, all four of us are completely in sync. We have been from the beginning."

Legion is another book in Suzanne Wright's, A Dark in You series. Any book in this series is fabulous and is worth a first read and any additional read. Legion has all previous characters from all other books in the series and has previously introduced Legion. When first reading Legion, I did need to look at the previous book to remind myself who Legion was and how he connected to previous characters. I love the continuation of the strong female characters and protective male characters that this series has to offer.

I love this series but I gotta be honest… this is a weird way to end it.

It has:
- great lore that is never used (Satan, anyone?)
- a mmc that has no influence on the story. None. Everything would happen the same way if he wasnt there.
- a mmc everybody is scared off but that never does anything to warrant that fear
- a villain that is no threat at all which means there is nothing at stake
- an all powerfull fmc that nobody can hurt
- a fmc that is the child of Lucifer, but that barely matters
- a fmc with a curse to drink blood that is relevant once
- several plot points that go nowhere

I just… I miss Knox and Harper. I miss a powerfull man that matters. And a plot that actually makes me fear for the characters.

Even in the final fight, Luca is useless. It even says in the book that Naomi and Lucifer are just toying with the Lemures before killing them. Luca and the others are just… there. He’s even part of the prophecy but his presence doesn’t matter. Naomi doesn’t need him.

It’s like the men has been nerfed throughout the series and the women have been empowered and that comes to a head here.

I’m so disappointed.

Such a beautiful ending to such a great series🥹💜. Seeing all the OGs just made this book all better, the nostalgia is insane🥹. Luka and Naomi are just perfect for each other, I was worried that they'll fall flat like Reaper but they just fit seamlessly!

I have mixed feelings about Legion.

I discovered Suzanne Wright late in 2019. I tore through The Phoenix Pack & Mercury Pack series, and then discovered the Dark in You series.

I'll be honest, at first I was a little put off by the whole demon thing but then once I got into the way Suzanne Wright tells her stories, I couldn't get enough of this series. After finishing the first five books in the Dark in You series in 2019, I've kept up with each new book that's been published since then.

I loved each new book in the series, mainly because of the camaraderie between all the women in the series. I liked Legion because I really did like both the MMC, Luka, and the MFC, Naomi. I liked learning about what a Legion is, three demons in one person. I like learning about Naomi's extra powers because of her parentage. I also loved the way Jolene and the Imps looked out for Naomi.

The reason why I have mixed feelings is because I wasn't really sure if this story needed to be written. Yes, we met Luka in the previous book, Viper, which was about Luka's anchor, Ella. It just seemed like the story was superfluous. I would rather have read/listened to a book about Asher and Lillibeth.

Anyway, even though this is the last book in the Dark In You series, I can't believe we won't be revisiting this world. There's are just too many good juicy characters. We shall see.

I refuse to believe it's over. This was the series that solidified Suzanne Wright as an auto buy author for me. Looking forward to what she will come out with next but I'm having a hard time letting go.

We aren't reinventing the wheel when it comes to Suzanne's formula. But it is a formula I have come to love. Luka was the perfect amount of broody and protective while not bulldozing. Naomi ranks high up of the FMC's of this series for me. I enjoyed her quiet confidence. She knew she could handle any threat that came her way but didn't feel the need to broadcast it. I do wish they had opened up to each other sooner. It wasn't till almost 75% that all the cards were on the table and I like seeing the couples in this series be a team. More teamwork!

IN THE NAME OF THE SANCTITY OF RETALIATION... don't take the imps from me Suzanne.

Funny thing is I didn't remember who Luka was or what a legion was because it'd been so long since I read Ella's book 😂 Took me a minute to connect the dots and even then I had no memory of his personality. So, I guess you could say I went into this with a fresh slate.

Anyways... I would love to say I loved this story, especially because it was the last installment in this series which I have loved (and reread many times) for years! But, alas I did not. I DID enjoy it and liked it a lot, but ultimately I didn't love it. Which tbh bums me out.

Much like the last book (Ella's book obviously lol) which I reviewed this book had similar issues for me in regards to the pacing. I found myself feeling annoyed and grumpy over how little we actually saw Luka and Naomi truly grow closer. Like, I get it they were both hot and super fucking amazingly attracted to one another. That was extremely clear. But those layers? The getting to know you and catching feelings? Well... it just didn't do it for me. It didn't really exist tbh.

There was just so much going on with the clerics being after Naomi, Iain being obsessed and stalking her, Stefan relentlessly hounding Naomi and her anchor Tobe about his ghost artists, the jealous employee of Luka's who was mad he didn't sleep with her and then in the back of the line was the relationship of Luka and Naomi.

I get it, there was A LOT of plots to manage and strings to pull and while they were very intriguing and did add to the story I just felt so frustrated by the lack of focus on their actual relationship. Mostly because when we did focus on it in the first 70% it was all shallow because they were just a fling then and neither was willing to open up and get to know one another. And it took that long which I believe we're told was about two weeks/maybe a month for the protectiveness to kick in hardcore for Luka and his entities. And Naomi never gave us an idea she felt more or wanted more for Luka in her POV either. Which tbh I guess was also her way of living in denial that she caught feelings when that wasn't what they agreed on but whatever. And while I totally understood why neither wanted to get close to anyone because of their secrets because they were by no means small ones. I just didn't enjoy that they went from a fling and little personal closeness or bonding to Naomi revealing all her secrets because she was caught and HAD to admit them to Luka and then suddenly oh we're mates now! Like, for me that was not it. It felt really damn random and out of the blue that Luka just decided to commit permanently like that once he knew all of Naomi's secrets.

I loved Naomi and Luka together. They felt like they were perfect for one another and obviously they had great chemistry. I just really really realllllyyy wanted to see them actually getting to know one another. Transition from just fling to catching feelings. Especially in Luka's case because he had so many layers and all this juicy history with his past and childhood that we'd been told bits of in his POV but that wasn't enough. I wanted to actually experience him opening up to Naomi instead of the causal way Naomi began talking about his childhood in the final chapter which she now clearly knew all about and not wanting to meet his father because of how he raised Luka. (Which I totally agree with Naomi there because what a jerk) but yeah, I just felt like we lost out on the good relationship stuff that would have really cemented them as mates IMHO because otherwise it just felt like intense chemistry, then obsession and possessiveness. Because honestly the "I love you" at the end just didn't hit the way it should have for me because of what we knew of Luka's past and his struggle to care and become attached to other people etc etc. It just felt like it had to be said before the book ended in this case. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Anyway that's just my opinion. Regardless of my disappointment in how some of it was paced or whatever I did enjoy it. I loved this series and its characters. I loved getting to see Lou so much and all his drama king shenanigans. 🤣 I adored all the dialogue and banter with the other imps hanging around who brought their usual hilarity. I just wanted to be so so into this couple and really invest in them but it didn't work out that way for me. But it was still a fun ride!

Legion is the eleventh and final book in the Dark in You series and can be read as a standalone.

I started this journey EIGHT years ago, so I can’t believe it’s come to an end. This series has been such a wild, immersive ride: full of strong and crazy heroines, dangerous but loveable heroes, and world-building that kept evolving with each book.

I couldn’t wait even one more day for the ebook - I had to get the audiobook. It only took me six hours to devour it because I just couldn’t press stop.

Naomi is a new character, but it feels like she’s always been a part of this world. She carries her secrets like a second skin, which made me even more invested in her. I think she’s one of Suzanne Wright’s most powerful FMCs, and I love her family and friends.

Luka is a Legion, meaning he has three inner demons: Dagon, Abraxas, Belial, which I found fascinating. He’s also a crime syndicate boss and Ella’s (FMC in book 10) anchor. I was intrigued about him in the last book, so I was pleased to find out he’d be getting his own story - and he didn’t disappoint. However, I do wish we saw/ learnt more about his work.

Naomi and Luka have undeniable chemistry. They’ve been on the periphery of each other’s lives, but things shift when Naomi’s ex starts stalking her - and since Luka is his prime, their paths collide more directly. I loved listening to their relationship evolving and hearing their interactions eventually become filled with protectiveness, humour, love and trust.

As always, the action was top-tier and I loved all the intricacies woven into the plot. I felt that the world-building wasn’t as well explained and the plot wasn’t as satisfying compared to the previous books. That’s not to say it isn’t still gripping and detailed.

I really enjoyed this book, it was great read, but considering it’s the last one, I was expecting more. I feel like we didn’t get a proper goodbye to these amazing characters, both previous MCs and Naomi and Luka. To be honest, I much preferred Viper and Ella’s book to this one.

Still, there are so many memorable characters and moments in this series that will live rent free in my head. I’m glad we got glimpses of most of our favourite characters, and this book added even more to love. I’m still holding out hope that one day in the future, we will get Asher’s book, because I need it.

This book contains triggering content such as violence, torture, death, crime, kidnapping, and stalking.

It's sad to say that Legion is the last in Suzanne Wrights Dark in You series because these characters and their stories have been beyond enjoyable to be part of.

Like the last book this doesn't centre of that core group we meet in the beginning, but they are connected to those we know and love so well.

Luka showed up as Ella's anchor in the previous book "Viper". He's a legion a person containing three inner entities. His demons are not the same type, and all have very different personalities. They don't tend to agree with each other or Knox but when they meet Namoi, they're all finally in agreeance. They want the siren.

Namoi is a member of Joelene's lair, and we know her well as Harper's grandmother and the lair where most of the girls of the group started out as members of. I don't recall Namoi from the earlier books but that's not to say she didn't pop up. Naomi is a siren, and her inner demon possess the siren song which hasn't made Namoi's life simple and particularly her love life.

After a particularly obsessive ex begins to make Naomi wary, she tells her prime, and they approach Luka to deal with the demon who is a part of his lair. Namoi was already on Luka's radar but being urged to step in has only moved up Luka's timeline to have Namoi.

Luka's not known to have more than short flings and this suits Namoi who doesn't trust her siren song not to affect those she spends time with. It's not long before Luka has decided that he won't be letting Namoi go and sets about to making her his permanently.

This has some pop ins from that core group I mentioned from the initial books, plus Viper and Ella.

Luka and Naomi have multiple foes to deal with, mostly they are focused on Naomi. As Naomi keeps to herself to protect her secrets Luka has no idea what she's facing. When he finds out though we see just how terrifying Luka can be and look out anyone who tries to hurt the woman he loves. He'll learn though that Naomi is a force to be reckoned with all on her own and while having Luke by her side and at her back means something to her, she doesn't need him to save her.

The banter between not only the main characters but all those side characters I feel is what makes Suzanne's storytelling so special. You feel like you're getting all the characters thoughts and feelings in one story and it's an amazing way to tell a story. I particularly love how the flow between the characters perspective is seamless and easily adaptive.

Whatever she writes next I'll be one-clicking on.

Happy Reading.

📖Genre & Tropes📖 : romance paranormal x demons x suspens-ish plot x mates x spicy x last book of the series

A paranormal romance that I read with pleasure and which concludes one of my favorite series

It was with a bit of nostalgia that I opened this book, which concludes a series I started almost ten years ago !

And I must admit that this is not my favorite volume >< The characters were nice, I liked the plot BUT I found the book a bit flat (?)

The romance was a bit banal (I would have liked something more epic, especially knowing that Luka is a Legion !!), there wasn't much tension between the characters, and I would have liked a book with a bit of an epic conclusion ...

I didn't hate it, but let's just say that compared to the other books, this one doesn't leave me with an unforgettable memory !

In short, a sexy and enjoyable paranormal romance to read, but not my favorite of the series !

I'm a little sad that this is the conclusion of this series, which I recommend to fans of paranormal romances with demons and morally questionable and slightly crazy characters !
I admit, I hope we get books about their children !

Oh, my, GOSH! I honestly cannot say enough good things about this series, I am extremely sad to have this be the last instillation. Suzanne Wright is a favorite writer of mine, she only has one series that I never got into, everything else is instabuy and DEVOUR! This entire series has been a huge hit for me, balancing each book with the perfect mix of intriguing storyline and the smut we all crave. They are also action packed and the women in these books are strong which is just *chefs kiss*.

This book was just as spectacular as the others. It was full of characters we have come to know and love in the previous books, let us see farther character development of a briefly mentioned earlier character, and introduced some new ones. All amazing, of course!
Naomi, the lovely, fierce, strong, independent, and secretive Siren.
Tia, Siren as well and Naomi's mother. She is funny, accepting, and encouraging. Everything you'd want in a mother.
Alfie, her stepfather. He is so kind and doesn't even blink when shit hits the fan, he just throws himself into the mix.
Tobe, Naomi's anchor. An Imp, of course, with sticky fingers and a knack for doing all things impish.
Luka, he was introduced in the last book as Ella's anchor, but we didn't get to know too much about him in that book. Now we know why, he got a book of his own. It was really fun to read about a Legion and all 3 of his demons and their personalities, being able to learn little tidbits about him throughout this book was a delicious little treat.
This book is full of action, mystery, intrigue, funny moments, bitchy moments, moments that make your thighs clench and certain areas throb. It is basically everything you'd ever want wrapped up inside of one lovely book.
If you haven't read this series yet, you truly are missing out and should read it asap! You will NOT be disappointed.

5 Stars as I really did enjoyed the book and I don't want to take anything away from that, BUT..... did it have the epic ending I would have liked (and that I have read in this author's previous series) for the final book in a series????... umm, not so much unfortunately.
Which is probably my only grip, that as the final instalment we didn't get as much of any of the previous characters (insert sad face) I mean not even Asher, Know or Harper. To finish on two new characters was a bit of a let down.
Now all that being said, YES, I really did enjoy the book (I guess I'm just being greedy in wanting more). Luka and Naomi made a great couple, they are both very powerful demons.
I totally dug how bada$$ Naomi truly was (even more powerful then Luka), considering who her Dad turns out to be its honestly a bit of a surprise she was so well grounded and sane lol. Loved how much we got to see of both of their demons, I always enjoy when their entities come out to play.
It had the usual smut, suspense, drama and action that you come to love in this series and enough cameo's of previous character to make it feel more connected to the series.
I honestly wish this wasn't the end but I know I will definitely be re-reading this series often, and of course am looking forward to what ever comes next from this author, I have no doubts I will one-click the crap out of it !!!

P.S Just want add that after reading in the acknowledgements at the back of this book that the author was seriously burned out while she wrote this one and it was her love of these characters and world that helped her finish it, just goes to show what a truly incredible writer she is and makes you appreciate it even more! Much love and appreciation.
