The beginning of how Jess as a profiler got tangled up with The Player
He is fascinated and fixation with her. Everything from now on is to taunt her and her loved ones. Good beginning the pieces have begun as you read the other stories.

Most half books are not worth the time or effort. This one included. Not sure what the point of it was.

This takes place between Vicious and Vile. Wouldn't recommend reading this one out of order as there are spoilers! It's the story of Jess's demise with the FBI on The Player case and it's told through flashbacks. Loved it! It hints at the Player's evolution. I just wished it were longer as things are ramping up in Jess Harris's world! Barely enough to tide me over, but it'll have to do!

This short story falls between books 7 and 8 in the series. It is a good story that gives more details to the story of Jess and serial killer, Eric Spears. I think this information adds to the story but is not necessary if you are not interested in short stories, and I know many people who are not.

Not as riviting

found out the background of Jess and Spears but didn't hold my interest as much as the others. Won't stop me from finishing off the series though.
