كتبت في القرن التاسع عشر
عن الأشباح التي يخلّفها الميتون
فكان الاعتقاد مازال قائماً بأن شبح الجثة المقتولة يعود لينتقم
قرأت نسخ مختصرة من القصص, لأن العمر أقصر من أن أحيط بكل الروايات الكلاسيكية السابقة التي فاتتني. وأنا أريد فعلاً أن ألم بهم.
ولكن بما أن هذه القصص كانت من نوعية قصص الرعب
والتي تعتمد بشكل كبير على تشويقنا لما سيحدث
فقط أفقدها الاختصار كثيراً من رونقها

On a horror kick at the moment. Great little window into what people found scary back in the 20’s. Now ? Not so much but would recommend to anyone wanting a small 1 hour read.

5. This book is divided into four horror stories. Above all, "The Woman in the Black Coat" is the best story for me.
a young girl who was 16 years old got married to gentle man who is old enough to efford to take care her. When she went to his house, she faced strange incident many times. she heard her room's door was knocked by someone, but there were no people in front of the door when she opened the door. One day, she met black woman who is ghost. The ghost told her that she would kill her if she didn't go out of the house. It was really afraid of it . If I were her, I'll run away from that home right away.

Final Review:
The stories are short yet scary. The first one is about a dead wife haunting a man’s second wife, the second is about the ghost of a man seeking help after one of his servants kills him and shoves his dead body into a compartment in the ceiling and the third one is about a man who is lured into a tower by a ghost through recurring dreams. At some points, these stories do send shivers down your spine.

A book of three short spooky stories consisting of:
"The Woman in the Black Coat": I found this reasonably creepy & one that I think would be ideal for BBC4's Christmas ghost story that's usually shown on Christmas Eve.
"Imray Came Back": this was more of a mystery & my least favourite of the three.
"The Room in the Tower": a creepyish tale where adream nightmare comes true but I felt it was a bit rushed in its ending.
These book of three short stories are actually aimed at younger readers or those for whom English is a second language. No matter, whoever they're aimed they're an eerie trio & I passed a very happy half an hour in their company.

There are 3 ghost stories. The first one is digusting with 2 eyes cut out. The second story is the combination of a ghost and detective details. It is such an interesting story among them. I like it the most. The last one is not my cup of tea. The woman is cruel. She appears with bloody scenes, constantly.

The book has three separate horror stories in it, the last one, which is also named on the book, "The Room In the Tower," is better than the others. But the second one is ridiculous and awful! Overall, the book isn't very scary, but it's good for those whose first language isn't English, for learning at a basic level.

I am a huge horror fan but I never really got too deep into ghost stories. That is until I read "The room in the tower" and immediately fell in love with Benson's writing.

5, This book has three kinds of story, so it's relatively easy to understand for me. The most scary story was "The woman in the black coat". It was simple, but it was unbelievable story. The husband in this story was really crazy. I have to consider when I marry someone.
