I have heard there are problems with the digital copies, but I can't imagine you would want this in anything but print. It comes with the gold foil spine & the cardboard covers, that bring back those wonderful childhood memories.(less)

A very thoughtful gift, I thoroughly enjoyed reliving my favored Little Golden Books in this outstanding Christmas collection.

Part trip down memory lane, part warm-up for the holidays* and all eye-candy. Whether you read it or just enjoy the full page illustrations, Everything I Need to Know About Christmas I Learned From a Little Golden Book has all the charm of every Golden Book plus the variety that comes from being a sort of gr ...more

What a lovely picture book for grown-ups! If you love Little Golden Books and they make you feel all nostalgic and warm and fuzzy inside this is the book for you. A beautiful picture book, where each page is taken from an LGB from the 40s-60s with one each from the 70s and 80s. Some of my favourite artists are here: Eloise Wilkin, Garth Williams, Tibor Gergely and Gustaf Tenggren. There's also plenty of Richard Scarry and Corrine Malvern, plus an illustrator I hadn't been familiar with whose pic

It was very nostalgic of reading many Little Golden Books during my childhood. I loved the illustrations from some of the classic stories. This book gives you all the warm and fuzzy Christmas feelings. It would make a good secret Santa gift for someone. Not much complaints there’s just not much of a story.

My aunt bought this book for her one year old great grand niece. Because obviously this is the demographic this book was written for. Ah, but I kid.

Turns out my aunt has a special connection to Little Golden Books. As the baby of the family, born after the Great Depression was over and my grandfather's medical practice was established, my aunt acquired a vast empire (uh...collection...a substantial collection) of Little Golden Books.

Even after she had outgrown them my aunt carefully stored her

don't know why i'm in the mood to read christmas picture books seeing as how it's not even halloween but it is what it is. this book i was expecting to be snarky judging by the cover but it was actually really sweet. it was mainly just pictures from previous little golden books (mostly christmas book pictures but a few weren't) and a nice little dialogue to go along with the pictures all about how hectic and crazy the holiday season can be, but how it's so important to make time for family and f ...more
I meant to read this around Christmas time, but is was still packed in some boxes I had not yet unpacked after the move. I actually forgot that I bought it! So, a pleasant surprise for me when I found it upon finally unpacking that box.

I loved, loved, loved reading through this book and then flipping back through reminiscing which Golden Books I had when I was younger that were represented in this collection. I really love what Diane Muldrow has done with this series. Anyone who love Little Gol

I won this book in a giveaway in exchange for an honest review .

I really liked it, it's a beautiful book , with illustrations from several decades, since 1940 .
It shows the spirit of Christmas with pictures and nice phrases.
It is a collage that worked out well and I would definitely read it for kids.

I really didn't expect to find advice on how to improve my Christmas from this book. What I did find was special memories of my son's childhoods. It brought tears to my eyes remembering those times spent with my sons. It also makes a great Christmas coffee table book. Well done!

The joy in this is seeing some of your favorite images from those books we all read as kids. Good thing the price is--relative to regular books--similarly lower. Cute, but then this one gets regifted or given to the local used book store.
There's advice in this book? I think I missed that. I got this mostly to look at the pictures because I grew up reading Golden Books. I loved the pictures. The words that accompany the pictures seemed stupid. But it was nice to look at the pictures and feel like a kid again.

Loved the pictures from all the other Golden Books & that it gave credit on each page for the book the picture came from. Including Author & Illustrator.
However I thought the store was lacking, but was happy it addressed the true meaning of CHRISTmas, the birth of Jesus.

A charming book that's good fun to page through, especially if you have read a great number of Golden Books. Unfortunately, the only two stories I recognized from this were The Poky Little Puppy and Animal Friends. Seeing a picture from that last one was such a blast from the past.

This book is just so darn cute! If you grew up (or are still growing up) with the Little Golden Books this book is just a trip down memory lane with all the pictures from the most beloved books. With the turn of every page the new images just make you smile and bring you back to your childhood. Now, if you didn't grow up with the books, this book would still be terrific with the adorable old fashioned and newer style pictures and the cute little words that run across the bottom of the pages tell ...more

the illustrations in this book are beautiful, but it's nothing more than that. the story that goes along with it isn't sweet or insightful, and it felt like they chose the illustrations and then struggled to add text. nice if you get it for free or see it on a shelf and want a quick read, but don't go out buying this unless you're doing it only for the drawings

In keeping with the "Everything I need to Know About..." Little Golden Books, this was a neat little book reminding us of the meaning of Christmas, and to take a step back, take a deep breath, and enjoy the season.
