Phew, I don't know if a collection should ever be this long. Even a collection about monsters and their lovers set in the 80's. Now I understand why they've since split it in two. As is the case with all of these sorts of things, I loved some, liked some, and I wish I'd never met some. Here are some thoughts on each story. You might love what I didn't and vice-versa. It's ok. If you love monster loving stories, you'll want to read it and make up your own mind.
Playing Mantis by Clio Evans
A woman, a video game and a giant man-sized Mantis with abs have a late-night rendezvous in an arcade. Eggs might be laid. Will she or won’t she tear off his head? 😆 I'm not telling. This is a wild one that moves fast and ends abruptly.
Frankie’s Funhouse by Beatrix Hollow
This one was more of a horror romance and I’m here for more of that. It’s about a slightly morally dubious heroine and the murderous animatronic who falls in insta-love with her. Fun stuff.
Lost and Found by Vera Valentine
A Nix may have just found his soulmate when a plumber arrives at his little grotto. This didn’t feel as retro as the others and had some tired romance lingo in there like the ol’ “slanted his lips over mine” but it wasn’t horrible either - just a bit on the meh side.
Fed After Midnight by Latrexa Nova
A gremlins inspired love story where a young woman finally gets what she wants and then some. Both sweet and absurdly wild. If you dig spicy giant troll like monsters this one’s for you!
Play by Sabrina Day
This one took so long to get going. Where is it even going? Where’s the monster? Who are the fucking MC’s? I'm so confused, so very lost. This story needs a complete rewrite.
DNF This story is, to be totally honest, a confusing mess of ideas and it used up my last ounce of patience.
The Monster of Darkspell Comics by SJ Sanders
This story is about a nightmare demon vacationing in a comic store in the mall back in the 80’s. That doesn’t sound like the greatest vacation to me, tbh, it sounds a little hellish. He’s a loner but I think he secretly pines for someone to share his/her collection of wine with. One day he catches a homeless gal stealing from him and decides to keep her. They then strike up a weird bargain that works out for both of them.
This was amusing and I loved some of the writing and banter but there was a bit too much build-up for too little payoff romance and horror-wise. I wanted to see some of his nightmare comics terrorize at least one person. But I probably read too much horror... Anyhow, it was fun.
CreepyPasta by Evangeline Priest
When an ancient dark lord currently posing as a human restaurant owner realizes his favorite over worked human at the mall is in trouble he rescues her and tucks her away in his hideaway. He feeds her pasta and coffee and has his way with her. The insta-lust was off the charts and it all felt super rushed and, most disappointingly, the sexy times were pretty lame. What a waste of a tentacled elder lord.
Dreadful Things by Maeve Black
Girl meets ghoul and they strike a deal to fake date and you know how this is gonna go, don’t you? The set up was completely unbelievable but it’s the monster mall so who cares? It was amusing.
Vampires Totally Suck by C. Rochelle
Star’s new job in a gothic shop comes with some sexy side perks. She might’ve just met her two forever soulmates. This was spicy fun but the relationship rift between the two vampire lovers wasn’t given enough space to make much sense to me. It was supposed to be vaguely tragic but it just wasn’t. And it was all fixed with Star’s arrival and her magical makeup skills.
The Best Boy by Wren K. Morris
The alpha of a pack of shifters likes to unwind by changing into a pup and hanging out in a cage. Can you blame him? Anyhow, Tracy walks in, their eyes meet and he realizes she’s his mate but she's human and it's not supposed to work that way. Like a lot of these stories this one felt rushed. The conflict a bit uninspired and ugh the insta-lust is back again. Sexy times were also lacking and felt meh and rushed. I don’t like the fated mate thing. It almost always feels like a cheat when there’s very little room for relationship building. But the doggy was sweet. Also, weirdly the physical descriptions were very lacking and, in a book where the MMC has 3 different forms, that was disappointing.
The Phantom of the Theater by Elle M. Drew
Meh this one just wasn’t very thrilling. It’s about a woman who works in a movie theater and the fear phantom who ravages her in exchange for some screams. Any scream’ll do it apparently 🤷♀️
The Good Char by Yd La Mar
The writing in this story about a hell demon who serves up human meat to humans was too simplistic and repetitive. A total waste of a hell demon. “She was rich and her parents were more than well off.” Ummm, got it the first time, thanks. The writing was dreadful, the characters all terrible and the FMC comes off like a child which was creepy. They’re all gonna get the Kuru and I couldn't find it in me to care. DNF
At this point, I feel like I’ve been reading this book for a million fucking years.
Anyhow, can’t stop now!
Mall Rat by Ashley Bennett
This was cute. It’s about a lonely woman and the lonely rat woman who has been spying on her 👀 who finally makes her presence known.
Don’t Eat Your Human Boyfriend by Lily Mayne
This was also cute though also another very insta-lusty story (like most of these) about a flesh-eating ghoul who falls hard and fast for the new employee at Broth with a Bite. Only problem is the cute new guy is human and humans are supposed to be food 😳 Uh oh. There wasn’t a lot going on here besides sexy times but I absolutely didn’t hate it.

Vampires Totally Suck by C. Rochelle is a fun romance between two vampires and their recently hired human employee. Together this trio have a fun amount of chemistry as they navigate their newfound feelings for one another in this retro mall setting.
I really enjoyed reading about all of the fun and quirky eighties aesthetics, which made for a lot of vibrant imagery that I thought added a lot of personality throughout this story.
Overall I enjoyed this fun story that had action, steamy moments, and a trio of fun and colorful characters who I cannot wait to see again.

80’s Mall Monsters

I read 3 stories, 2 mm romances and 1 mmf one and none of them were all that great. I definitely enjoyed the 80’s setting more than the stories themselves. I did appreciate that the two mm ones were complete stories and didn’t end on cliffhangers or coming soon. I’m not rating this because I didn’t read any others but I’d probably put this at about 2.5 stars for an anthology based on what I read.
Lost & Found by Vera Valentine (MM): This one is about a Nix bound to a water fountain in the mall’s lost and found area. His fountain is leaking so some plumbers come to fix it. This was just kind of boring and so one dimensional it hurt. The best part of this was the Nix yelling at the twisted phone cord because it was the absolute worst back then and why no one would just replace it is beyond common sense especially since one of my jobs sold them! I fought with too many to count. 😂
Vampires Totally Suck by C. Rochelle (MMF): Two vampire lovers, a goth and one who wears Hawaiian shirts own a store kind of like ‘Hot Topic’ that’s here in the US. They hire a new girl and it’s on but this one was odd because it was obvious the author tried to make the goth vampire have a tragic backstory and in this little story it just didn’t work. This one went truly 80’s when it ended like a “Choose Your Own Adventure” book. If I wanted the baddie to get off easy I could finish the rest of the story for a HEA but if I thought they deserved karma I was to fast forward to the epilogue to read the mmf smut because there will be a longer re-release of this book. As much as I would have chose karma, I have no desire to read the updated version.

I did like the humor this had and the idea of a ghoul restaurant that serves both ghouls and humans was great especially the cover story for having another kitchen. But ultimately the romance was just kind of lackluster except for lines like this that made me laugh.
”I wanted to suck his perfect dick and drink him down, then wrap him up in blankets and hand-feed him croutons from the giant bag in the kitchen.”

Playing Mantis - Clio Evans - 4.5 stars!
Jamie loves going to GalaxyGames and playing her favorite game Playing Mantis. One evening she finds her top score beat! When she decides to hide out after closing, Jamie comes face to face with the monster with the top score now. And he plans on scoring more than just the game.
This was cute as hell and smutty as can be. Playing Mantis ends on a HEA and I really enjoyed it.
Lost and Found - Vera Valentine - 4 stars!
Ethan is a Nix (a water spirit) and he needs a plumber for his fountain that is leaking. Ryan and his dad own a plumbing business and when Ethan gets on the phone with Ryan…well these two have a connection even through the phone.
This was MM instalove and I was surprised at Ryan’s character. In a good way. Cute and smutty, it ends on a HFN/HEA.
Creepy Pasta - Evangeline Priest - 4.5 stars!
Chesa works in the mall and is overworked but loves the pasta she gets from a restaurant there. Rufus is the owner of said restaurant and the Mindbreaker known as Vhelloss and when she finds herself in trouble, this bad boy saves her. Now their chemistry is undeniable.
Sexy and sweet, this ends on a HFN.
Dreadful Things - Maeve Black - 4 - 4.5 stars!
Zero is a ghoul and Pose needs a job. These two working together is a recipe for monster love. A fake dating plan turns deeper!
I enjoyed this. Zero was so stinking cute. Pose was a little annoying with her attitude but they worked. Short and smutty, this ends on a HEA.
The Good Char - YD La Mar - 4 stars!
A sushine /grump romance between a cute human and a moody demon. Spicy and sweet!
Both characters were fun and this ends on a HEA.

Yall, I literally bought this entire book to read Don’t Eat Your Human Boyfriend by Lily Mayne and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement.
Dont get me wrong, I was an 80's teen so all that was great, but outside of the sexytimes, the zombie/human love story just didnt have that same sense of instalove that the other stories have. Outside of smelling really good, thats all I got from this attraction.
This should have been a 5 star read, I mean a zombie who wants to eat a human (and no, I dont mean his brains, but his arse) and a human who wants to be eaten is right up my alley, but it just didnt work here.

Why’d they make him so…so… Don’t fucking say attractive, I growled at myself. He was not attractive. He was a fucking robot coyote and his eyes were oversized and practically lidless.
A wild ride of a short story perfect for fans of Five Nights at Freddy’s who remember the joy and horror of real life Chuck E Cheese type establishments. It’s creepy, funny, and spicy and I couldn’t put it down!

Wolf shifter/fated mates. Jay shifts into a wolf and gets adopted at a local shelter for strays. Twisted Whisker. Ex boyfriend was abusive and is stalking her. Too insta-lust. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really enjoyed this anthology!
There were so many authors I had and had not read from before, and I liked all the different writing styles. A few of my fav novellas were Mall Rat, Don't eat your human boyfriend, The Best Boy, The Monster of Darkspell Comics and Frankie's Funhouse.

Playing Mantis by Clio Evans (5 stars)
Business babe by day, arcade queen by night. Jamie has been playing the arcade game “playing mantis” since she was 16. She takes her high score status very seriously. When someone takes her first place title, she sets out to destroy them but instead falls in lust. Business opportunities and more for our arcade queen.
Frankies Funhouse by Beatrix Hollow (5 stars)
Possessed animatronics. Satanists. Kids arcade with slutty costumes. What more could you want? I gotta say even though this is only story two it’s my favorite. If you have a FNAF *thing* then this is sure to tickle all the right places. 80’s horror mall vibes just always hits right and who better to give us that than Beatrix herself. Frankie could get it.
Lost & Found by Vera Valentine (5 stars)
omg. Vera you beautiful genius. That was such a hot short mm story with all the sweetness. Ethan a nix works and lives at the mall where a special artifact that controls his is lost in a water fountain. Repair tech Ryan swoops in to save the day and more. That was so spicy and sweet. obsessed. I Am going to need so so much more of Ryan and Ethan!!!

Gremlins but make it hot male monsters and a badass FMC who can take it. Billie is into William, a shy guy who isn’t what he seems. He’s crushing hard back but if he gives in he might let the monster out. This was wet and weird and absolutely insane. I loved it. What an awesome addition to the creepy court anthology. I love that other stories get mentioned in each one as well.

I am in awe. The world building was phenomenal. The characters absolutely amazing. The Labyrinth meets 80’s horror and more. The dream sequences had me reeling. The descriptions, the dialogue. I am just astounded. This was insane and brilliant and omfg I don’t even know what else to say. Holy shit. I need to immediately read more by Sabrina because her writing is intoxicating and addicting.

Fanny our drifter FMC breaks into a comic book shop owned by an incubus for a safe place to sleep. She never expected she would get caught and become his pet. Doomed to work at the comic book store and take care of a sentient carnivorous plant she learns the secrets of creepy court and finds she fits right in. You know what else fits right in? Her demon boss’s dong in her kitty. a wonderful addition to our creepy court monsters. This was sweet and spicy and a perfect Halloween short.

two ghouls (NOT zombies) Laz and Zero run Dreadful Gifts and need another employee to help. They run into Posey or “poser” back from school. With an interview on the spot she takes the job and learns the secrets of creepy court. Zero is our sweet cinnamon roll inexperienced ghoul who has been doing his research. But don’t worry- he doesn’t want to eat her… well not like that anyway. This was a heart warming and panty wetting story and zero is baby foreverrrrr. I need more of this story pleaseeee.

Maybe pet some cute puppies at Twisted Whisker to let some stress out. Adopting what she thought was a dog, she gets a world of surprises. And a world-shattering orgasm too. JJ is the best boy and I am in LOVE.

Who knew phantom dong could hit just right. A phantom haunts the theater in Creepy court, turning off horror movies to get Deborah’s attention. Well, he finally get its and she gets it too. Another Creepy Court banger.

A broody demon forced to work in creepy court mall, sunshine human who needs a job, what could go wrong? Absolutely nothing it all goes VERY well. The good char is hilarious and spicyyyy. Kimmy and Dzik are so cute and I love how he bends to her sunny disposition.
Mall Rat by Ashley Bennett (5 stars)
A sweet little sapphic romance between a mall rat, literally, and Jackie. Jackie helps run the roller rink her parents left behind and while taking out trash she stumbled upon Rhonda. Some mall shenanigans and tail play later, these two had a bitchin’ time.

Are you kidding me?! This was so freaking cute. A ghoul and his human snack. But not like to eat… in that way. Ricky and Elliot were so freaking cute and sweet. My teeth hurt after reading this. A perfect final story to the creepy court anthology.
Over all: such a fun anthology, my favorite one yet! Resounding 5 stars. I loved all the tie ins to other stories. Everyone’s stories felt like a portal back to the 80s and every character was amazing. Love love loveeee.

I was lucky enough to get a copy of C Rochelles story for this anthology called Vampires Totally Suck. This was 80s perfection, and no I'm totally not baised by the amazing FMC name! I loved the interactions between all 3 characters and I loved how true to corinnes normal form she was able to stay. I can't wait to learn more about these characters in a further down the line book!

This anthology is chalked full of brilliance! So many talented authors in one anthology all with unique, spooky, spicy and fun stories that readers will love…I know I did! Just a few of my favorite described below because I just adore them!
• Playing Mantis by Clio Evans •
This story was so much fun and so spicy!! A gamer and a praying mantis…what to do, what to do. The chemistry between Jamie and Mantis was absolutely exhilarating! Such a creative story that, while short, had me completely hooked. I could not stop reading! I had to know what would happen next. I wanted to see and read all that would happen with Jamie and Mantis. I love this story!
• Vampires Totally Suck by C. Rochelle •
Oh boy!!!! This story was SOOOOOO GOOD! I loved these characters and this storyline. Star, Max, and Damon were hot hot hot! Their chemistry was through the roof, but even better was their chemistry on an emotional level. There was this kindred spirit bond between them, they just clicked and got each other on a soul deep level. This was such a fun, spicy, totally rad story from beginning to end!

I just love Beatrix Hollow’s twisted, brilliant mind! This story was completely unexpected and oh so bloody fun. I mean who would have thought about animatronics?!? Ramona and Frankie were something else and I can say with certainty I didn’t see any of that coming…but I loved every twisted second!

Eep! I love Jackie and Rhonda so much! They’re so much fun and their connection is just so rad. I loved their meet cute and the date that ensued. All of their fun pit stops in the mall, and the spicy times that came along with them. It was just such an adorable story. I definitely could have kept reading about these two! I didn’t want their story to end but boy oh boy did I love every moment I did get.

A pair one wouldn’t expect, but one whose chemistry is off the charts! Everything from their “meet cute” to their HEA is just so perfect. I’m so smitten with these two and their story.

This was a really great story! I enjoyed the banter and back and forth between Fanny and Pashar. While their meeting was unexpected, the bond that grew between them was lovely to watch unfold and flourish. This was a fun, spicy story.

Those of you that know me know that I love an anthology bursting at the seams with new authors for me to discover. This one not only takes us back to the 80s, but does so with all manner of MONSTERS! I can’t wait to make my way through this one.
To celebrate its release, I just need to shout a bit about one of the stories you’ll find within— Frankie’s Funhouse by the incomparable Beatrix Hollow. Where do I even begin here? Hollow vividly transports us right into the decade of neon and mixtapes by opening the doors to Creepy Court Mall’s arcade/entertainment center, ripe with cardboard pizza, stale patterned carpets, and unruly, demanding children and parents alike.
However, this establishment is a bit different than the rest.
There’s a…sentient animatronic?
And while entry is always permitted, there’s a chance you may never leave.
The perfect slice of horror infused with dark humor, black magic and weird, deviant spice, I thoroughly enjoyed how this story unfurled, twist after twist that I couldn’t get enough of. I mean…how could you not fall in love with a possessed, chainsaw-wielding animatronic coyote with a hunger for violence and carnal pleasures, who also holds a vicious grudge against Chuck E. Cheese for stealing this thunder? I. AM. DEAD.
Beatrix, you never let me down. As someone who has been utterly destroyed by Five Nights at Freddy’s in the past, your story is everything I never knew I needed.

The 80s Mall scene in this anthology really worked well to give all authors space to do what they do best, write some fun monster smut. Not all the stories are super smutty though. Some are sweet, some are creepy, some are dark. This anthology did a good job at giving readers a little taste of everything. Personal favorites of mine are from, Beatrix Hollow, Vera Valentine, Latrexa Nova and Clio Evans. Definitely pick this up if you want a variety of monster romances to dip your toes into while aqua netting your hair and pulling on your spandex.

Vampires Totally Suck is a very quick and spicy read! I loved the insta-lust and “I licked her, so she’s mine!” vibes, plus the nods to 80’s culture (yes, I am a product of growing up in the 80s). This excellent blend of dark humor and smut will surely put a smile on your face and get your heart racing.
There is a vampire duo who adds a human goth girl to complete their third. One vampire is a dom who loves control in the bedroom, and the other is a grumpy, self-loathing soul combating the ancient traumas. Adding the FMC fills an emotional hole and heals the rifts in their relationship.
Fast-burn and insta-lust, we get MM, MF, and MMF scenes of the spiciest nature.
The novella ends in a HEA. I look forward to more from this throuple in the future.

Some of the stories are really good. Some of the stories kinda drag. That's what's fun about an anthology. You just never know what you are going to get.
It's a fun collection overall, though. Read your favorite stories, read all the stories, or read one of the stories.

Okay all you monster f*ckers out there (you know who you are!)- finished my first book of 2024 with this one: Creepy Court Vol. 1 - A Monster Mall Anthology. Written by a bunch of great authors if this is your genre. I only read Volume 1, as it's already over 600 pages.
I thought the overall concept was great! An 80s mall is already so creepy and the assortment of retailers left a lot of room to have some fun with the period. Some of the stories were better hits than others. I thought Playing Mantis was a good start. Frankie's Funhouse was a bit too long, but interesting. Lost and Found was sweet. I didn't enjoy Fed After Midnight at all and I didn't particularly like Play much either. But Creepy Pasta was short and sweet.
Personally, I think the short story format is tough, as it's basically just smut. There's not a lot of time for plot, and honestly I get super bored. So 3 stars from me, but I do still plan to read Vol. 2 eventually as I'm a huge Lily Mayne fan and her story is in that one.

I'm not the biggest fan of the 80s, but Vera Valentine and Lily Mayne have stories in here so I HAD to read it. Those were both excellent, and I also rather enjoyed Latrexa Nova, Sabrina Day, Wren K. Morris, and C. Rochelle's stories. I wouldn't say anything in here was *bad*, but most of the rest weren't to my taste.
Yes, I'm picky, and some of it might just be the fact that I'm 8 months pregnant and if things aren't *just* right I get an attitude 🤣
I did really appreciate the cohesion and world building involved in this anthology; the stories all mention facets of the others and build Creepy Court into a place that feels real and pretty rad, and it's not something I can say I've seen before. Maybe in multi-author series, but in a short story anthology, no, and I loved the effect of it here! Overall, it was an awesome collection and I'd love to see more like this!

Vampires totally suck by c.rochelle. I loved this and want more. I love the idea that we can have an alternate ending too (genius).
I don't want to give too much away as it is part of the anthology (which I will be buying to read all the other stories within and will update this review) .
But we have a 'wronged' FMC who finds out vampires are real and she is now working for 2 of them.
We have some story and as always with c.rochelle some really good quality smut and a great representation of characters with different wants and needs. Even with the story being short we do get back ground on the characters and character development.
The book does contain a lot of American slang which I sometimes don't really understand but you get the gist.
I don't want to give too much away as it is part of the anthology (which I will be buying to read all the other stories within and will update this review) .

Easily one of the best, most fun anthologies I've ever read! Every story was at least 3*, I loved the setting and how every person added at least a little detail that helped expand the world. Also loved the few mini-cameos of other characters from the other stories, very cute.
I'll definitely be picking up some of the solo work from these authors!
I will say, though, that there are SO MANY typos, incorrect words, missing punctuation, and in some cases, too much punctuation. I found it pretty distracting, and this would have been a 5* read for me if someone had taken the time to properly edit!
As it was, I still had a great time. This is a solid book, and it's a real shame that it isn't available for purchase anymore.

Jamie and Mantis are adorable. Jamie is a working girl by day and a arcade girl by night. She has the high score on her favorite game and has for years until Mantis knocks her off. I love how they meet and how unique their story is. They are perfect for each other and loved their HEA.

Omg! Where to start? Growing up, I had been to Chuckie Cheese who knows how many times and now there's Five Nights at Freddy's, who my kids are obsessed with, so I knew with this one leaning more towards FNAF, I was probably going to end up peeing myself 😅 it's not as scary as I thought it would be, definitely more gore-y. I loved Ramona and her attitude! She definitely has that idgaf attitude. I was not expecting the twists this one had and I can't wait for the extended edition.
Also, who knew Frankie could be so 🥵🥵

This one was super unique! I've really enjoyed the spin this author puts on her characters. Ethan is a Nix and seems to intentionally sabotage the plumber's work to allow Ryan to stay a bit longer. I loved these two!

LOVED! When a monster attacks Chesa and knocks her schedule off course, Rufus is the one to notice and does what needs to be done to save her. These two are so cute! I had a hard time with the 3rd person in the beginning, but once the short story got going, it didn't bother me.

YESSS! I loved the shock of Tracy thinking she adopted a dog, but Baby isn't only a dog, he's JJ and he's a hot lycan. These two are hot together. JJ is the best boy for sure!

Deborah works at the local mall megaplex and is constantly having to fix the film. When it happens on a particular night, she gets the time of her life with the mystery spirit that is haunting the theater. I did enjoy this one a lot, again the 3rd person threw me, but I was able to get into it quickly.

YESSSSS! Rhonda and Jackie are a match made in heaven. Rhonda wasn't going to reveal herself to Jackie, but the time seemed right. These two hit it off quickly. Rhonda knows a bit more about Jackie than expected, but that doesn't scare her off. I am obsessed with these two!

Deborah works at the local mall megaplex and is constantly having to fix the film. When it happens on a particular night, she gets the time of her life with the mystery spirit that is haunting the theater. I did enjoy this one a lot, again the 3rd person threw me, but I was able to get into it quickly.

YESSSSS! Rhonda and Jackie are a match made in heaven. Rhonda wasn't going to reveal herself to Jackie, but the time seemed right. These two hit it off quickly. Rhonda knows a bit more about Jackie than expected, but that doesn't scare her off. I am obsessed with these two!

I had the pleasure of reading “Vampires Totally Suck” by C. Rochelle early from this anthology.
As with everything from this author, I loved it. Sweet, funny, and totally bitchin!
Only complaint? I want MORE! Damon, Max, and Star definitely have more tales to tell! Would it be to much to ask for a full length with history on everyone and Star’s journey after her big Creepy Court debut?? Hmmmm…
Other authors involved in this anthology are also great story tellers and I can’t wait to read the rest!

ARC review for Frankie's Funhouse.
Equal parts love letter to the 80's and 90's slasher film, this was hilariously perfect. I will never look at animatronics the same way. Beatrix does an incredible job blending the terrifying with sarcastic hilariousness. Weird AF and I'm here for it all. Perfection.

📖: Vampires Totally Suck by C. Rochelle 5/5 ⭐️
Anything C writes I’m automatically gonna love and this short was no exception! I am a sucker for a vampire story and these two vampires are definitely *chefs kiss* 🤌🏽. Morally grey boyfriends for the win 😏. I can’t wait to see how C expands this story and what ending a certain someone truly deserves. And I can’t forget that signature spice and humor that C always delivers on 👏🏽.
📖: Frankie’s Funhouse by Beatrix Hollow 5/5 ⭐️
Now, reading this had me on edge cause for one animatronics are creepy and how Hollow described everything, it felt like I could see everything and feel just how creeped out Ramona felt when she walked in to the funhouse and saw Frankie and the others. Besides that, who knew that being chased by a killer animatronic, with a chainsaw, a long tongue and vibrating peen would be hot 🥵 cause I certainly didn’t and I was HERE FOR IT 👏🏽. I simply need more!
📖: Playing Mantis by Clio Evans 5/5 ⭐️
We’ve got oviposition, pheromones that make you instantly horny, a long tongue, and a double peen what more could you ask for 😮💨. This short was quick and spicy and I loved it!

I really enjoyed Vera’s short! I don’t think I’ve ever read a story about a Nix but I was all for it! Ethan and Ryan are just *chefs kiss* 🤌🏽
📖: Fed After Midnight by Latrexa Nova 5/5 ⭐️
This story introduced me to Latrexa’s work and I’m officially obsessed! This story is based on the movie Gremlins which, shout out the bestie for telling me, and I loved it. When the mmc throws up his double and the fmc calls him Twolliam had me cracking up 😂
📖: Play by Sabrina Day 5/5 ⭐️
The red light video special. It's where you can sign up to become a VIP and get to live out your deepest fantasies with the help of a certain incubus 😏. I loved that the mmc's fantasy he played out with the fmc was a final girl scene based off of Friday the 13th. I highly enjoyed it.
📖: The Monster of Dark Spell Comics by SJ Sanders 4.5 ⭐️
Another new to me author, I really enjoyed this story. This one was about a nightmare demon who finds someone,our fmc, that broke into his shop and they are now in debt to him. I loved those two together.
📖: Dreadful Things by Maeve Black 5/5 ⭐️
I really enjoyed this story. I loved that the fmc was using the mmc to make her ex-boyfriend believe she moved on after he cheated on her and the mmc was using the fmc to make his crush jealous. the only rule was the fmc had to teach our mmc about everything because he was a virgin and boy did he excel quick 😮💨. This man was like crush who? and was all about our fmc and I was here for it.
📖: The Best Boy by Wren K Morris 5/5 ⭐️
Ah Wren, her story was one I was looking forward to the most and I was immediately hooked. there's just something about Wren's writing and the fact that JJ, our mmc, is such a good boy that was just 🤌🏽. And I LOVED all the easter eggs from the other author's stores in this story. There was one easter egg, that when I found out how it related to another auhtor's story I was like 🫨.

I enjoyed this story. I thought it was interesting how the phantom fed off on the screams of the movie goers and was purposefully messing with the projector to get the fmc up there by herself. It was very quick and fast paced.
📖: The Good Char by YD La Mar 3/5 ⭐️
I had high hopes for this story because this store has been mentioned in almost every store and I was excited to see what was up with The Good Char. It was alright but I didn't love it as much as the other stories in this antho. I personally think the amount of chapters could've been cut down because there was a lot of unnecessary things added into this. And there was one comment that the fmc made that just didn't sit right with me at all.
📖: Don’t Eat Your Human Boyfriend by Lily Mayne 5/5 ⭐️
I am OBSESSED with Ricky and Elliot. They are so freaking cute. Elliot is a ghoul who needs to eat humans to survive and when Ricky starts working at Broth with a Bite, Elliot wants to eat him in a naughty way 😏. I was here for it all. This short has definitely convinced me to finally dive into Lily's stories.

This was a great introduction into a new story by C. Rochelle that had the grumpy and sunshine MMCs we love to read about. I loved how there was a connection between all the characters from the get go. It was a slightly spicy, short read that I can't wait to read when it's expanded in the future.
