When she finds herself in a slump after her breakup with Zuko, Mai opens herself to the advances of a seemingly innocent Fire Nation teenager, only to discover that he is far from what his charming demeanor suggested.

mai deserves the world 3 she served so hard and this was like 10 pages. breaks my heart that she still is loyal to zuko and misses him... the last panel BDJSJSJDJSJ anyway four stars for her. plot was corny, but mai >>>
This was a short and fiery story about Mai and how she's dealing with her break up with Zuko. She goes on a date with a boy that turns into an ambush planned by her father. We once again see how awesome Mai is at fighting and protecting the people she loves. It was cool to see where Mai is after end of the animated series and I would love to see her in the main comic continuity! Overall, not a bad short issue based on a secondary but pretty awesome character!
I spent ages looking for this story and finally found it on a free comic book site. Only then did I found out that this story is in Avatar: The Last Airbender: Team Avatar Tales. So if like me you are struggling to find this: DO NOT PANIC! Just read Team Avatar Tales!
In terms of the story itself, it was good, but not the best. I enjoyed it but it did not do much for me.
Hunted this down because it's heavily referenced in Avatar: The Last Airbender - Smoke and Shadow so I thought I'd better read it first. 5 stars for Mai, who is, as always, the perfect woman. ~2 stars for everything else - the art wasn't as great as usual in this, and the whole thing was too short to make much of an impact. BUT MAI <3
Like the first one of the free to read comics of the series, Rebound is a short, simple but good story that lets us look a little bit better inside the universe of the TV series. should be more clear when on the timeline it happens put lets us see that Zuko's first years as Fire Lord were not good for everyone.
I watched this on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hK8LH.... It was cute. I loved the picture in the end. I appreciated this story and that Mai was the main character. It was nice to see her grow and develop. I wouldn't say this story is AMAZING, but it was pretty good.
This is the backstory of when Kei Lo first met, and started to woo Mai, only to fall for her. It was a short, sweet tale that filled in the blanks. However the art was really not up to Avatar comic standards.
I have finally got a copy of the Dark Horse Free Comic Book Day comics for Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. It's good to finally read them through.
