W hen darkness falls on the foggy streets of London, demons and monsters emerge to prey on human life. But demons aren't the only ones prowling the streets. Two women stand as humanity's defense against the darkness--a young gun-toting nun named Sister Meg and her mysterious, eternally youthful, scythe-wielding partner, Angela. Together, they have made it their life's work to spend their nights hunting the vile demons that stalk mankind. Tetragrammaton Labyrinth is supernatural horror series that contains mild yuri elements, lots of violence, and superb artwork.
I generally like how this volume contained the first volume-length story arc of the series. It did suck that it didn't involve the recurring detective Edward Wise from the previous volume, but by the same token, there was an acknowledgement of this at the end of the volume, and it's not like he could have also been on the boat in a way that made narrative sense for the series.
I think this added a lot more to the lore than the previous volume did, too. Volume 1 definitely introduced a lot of different threads, but they were mostly vibes-based stuff that didn't necessarily need to be picked up on if they didn't land with the audience the series had upon initial publication. This volume commits to a lot more of what it introduces, and sorta shows the direction the rest of the series is most likely heading.
The intrigue behind Angela's new weapon is awesome. It's interesting how it keeps ripping her arms off and yet she wants to use it and even sympathizes with it. I look forward to seeing exactly how powerful it is to be worth all the bodily harm. 4/5
