OH, THIS BOOK GETS ME EVERY TIME. The characters, their stories, the plot... I find myself being a huge fan of many of the Millie Keith novels. Not because of heart-pounding action or intriguing romances (though the romances included are adorable and completely sweet), but because of the characters. I love a good character, and the A Life of Faith: Millie Keith series is packed with them. The story is so character driven - and I love it. Their journeys keep you entwined. Which is awesome. I highly recommend this book - and this series in general. <3

Okay, these are just such sweet stories! The values are so wholesome and encouraging in all walks of life. Not only that, but they end on cliffhangers...

Amazing amazing book, as always. This treasured series holds such a special place in my heart from the time I was a pre teen until now in my 30's. Such lasting truths mixed with fun, adventure, and romance. Can Millie be real so we can be friends??

I adore every single book in the Millie series. This one is sweet in its own special way. It's easy to relate to Millie as she must wait, and trust the Lord when she has no idea what the outcome will be. Been there. The theme of love throughout this book is beautiful and convicting. I really enjoy the new character Gavi, and more about Pleasant Plains and how they come alongside Millie and her family in their time of need (such a great picture of how the Body of Christ is supposed to serve).

The Millie Keith series was one of my favorite series to read. It's written by Finley, the same woman who wrote the Elsie Dinsmore. However, I found that I was more discouraged reading the Elsie series than I was with the Millie series. The reason being that Elsie is SO perfect in the books, always in the right, etc, etc. I'm not like that, so I was discouraged reading the books. However, when I read the Millie Keith series, I was encouraged by who Millie was. She was just like me! She had her problems with wanting to pinch her brothers right away when they wouldn't listen to her, or being content with what her parents told her to do. But, throughout the series, you get to see her grow in the Lord, and eventually those problems began to go away. She no longer feels the urge to pinch her little brothers, no longer struggles as much to be content with her new life. So, it was more encouraging, to me. The Dinsmore books are good, too. But perhaps I just felt better when I thought I could 'grow with the characters', per se. :)

wow......I just love these books! they are filled with wonder, excitement, laughter, sorrow, and joy. Martha Finley did a fantastic job in writing the Elsie Dinsmore and Millie Keith books!
when I read this book, I was amazed at how I grew in my faith as Millie grew I hers. this was the first series in which I felt as if I was there, a part of the Keith family.
I highly recommend this book for 10+......and when you're done with them, you can put them in your hope chest for your future daughters to enjoy :)
this is 5 out of 8......so don't miss reading all the books!

This book ends on such a cliff hanger that I'm glad I never had to wait for the next book!

2024 Update

I love the Mikalous family! And I enjoy having Millie back home and all the interactions with her siblings.

Gordon is a wonderful side character and I know a boy like Cyril in real life, so now my heart really goes out to him, even more than it used to.

Millie's prayers and thoughts about Charles are certainly more relatable now than ever as well. (laughs sheepishly)

I wish I could have read book four first, but the book wasn't any less wonderful. I love the cliffhanger, and am reading the sixth book as soon as I can get my hands on it.

I loved every single one of the Millie Books! I read them when I'm sick of reading or if I can't sleep or if I'm having a bad day. She grows up through the books so I'm always her age. :)
