A good enough starting point, chapters are written in a kind of tutorial style so you can start reading pretty much everywhere. I don't think that it adds a lot to what is already available freely online (like the Java EE Tutorial). But for everyone starting wit EJB and wanting some paper in their hands this might be an OK buy.
