Malicious Pursuit

Desperate to protect her daughter, Ruth Ferguson kidnaps the four-year-old and flees Maine in the dead of night. She has two days to put distance between herself and the child’s abusive father – two days to make a new life far from everyone she knows. That same night, on the outskirts of the nation’s capital, computer programmer Spencer Rollins stumbles upon a horrifying murder. Confused and frightened, she bolts, not knowing whether the federal agents giving chase want her in custody as a suspect – or dead as a witness to their crime. A former lover is her only chance for clearing her name, but the fed are standing watch, knowing she has now where else to turn. Injured and on the run, Spencer encounters Ruth, who must overcome her fear of being discovered – and of losing her daughter forever – to help a total stranger fight a battle for her life. With trust at a premium, the two women join forces to thwart their pursuers. Their uneasy alliance give way to conviction that each is the other’s only hope for unraveling the conspiracies that have made them the quarry in a deadly chase.

I must get myself and my daughter out of this awful situation. We deserve better than this. I did not murder my best friend. I must get out of here so I can figure out what happened and why I am to blame. Several lives collide in the most weird yet interesting way. The story build up was engulfing and the ending was quick.

A far fetched story with a ridiculous resolution, but still an entertaining commute/beach read.

Good solid story

I have read many KG books & really loved all of them. Malicious Pursuit is one of my favorites, though. The story starts with a bang and zoom! We're off to the races with a very exciting story with a he'll of slot of action and some very sweet romance. Also, some LOL , spit your coffee out, dialogue! love this book. Do yourself a favor - own a copy😉

This my favorite book from this author. I’ve read almost all of the books she’s ever written. I wish she wrote more thrillers like this. Strong characters, logical situations, down to earth, every day issues.
