Who killed Captain Peter Carey?Everyone knows that Captain Carey, nicknamed Black Peter, was a nasty, cruel character. But who would murder him and why? Can Holmes, Watson, and Inspector Lestrade find the brutal killer before it's too late?
This book was a quick read. The story in this one wasn’t as compelling or interesting as the story in ‘The Redheaded League.’ It suffers from the same issue as that book where they take a while to explain the crime, which is great, but then they speed through the solving of the crime, which is not so great.
Again a memorable short story, about the murder of a sea captain: Black Peter , who has been rightfully named , he was equally abusive to his family and crew
Its creepily atmospheric, with Holmes keeping us engaged through cleverly throughout trap , the red herrings, misdirections thrown into the story
“Sherlock Holmes and the Adventure of Black Peter– On the Case with Holmes and Watson” #11 – ISBN 9780761371007 - by Murray Shaw (Adapter), M.J. Cosson (Adapter), Sophie Rohrbach, J.T. Morrow, Arthur Conan Doyle
This was a better mystery as it was more difficult to solve and had visual clues, not just dialogue. You would think that would be obvious for graphic novels.
No. 11 in this series of Sherlock Holmes stories in comic book format for young (2nd - 4th grade) readers. In this one, Holmes and Watson are called in to find out who murdered the cruel sea captain Black Peter. I highly recommend these for kids!
