This is an excellent cookbook for low-sodium diets. Excellent.

I'm sure the medical/health aspect of the cookbook is still valid but the recipes themselves feel very dated. As might be expected of a 1998 cookbook...

Out of the 7 recipes I tried, only 1 was really good. Some of the comments I, and others, made about the recipes: “It was ok.” “Tastes like diet food.”

There are some recipes I can't wait to try, especially for St. Patrick's and spring and summer coming.

Nice ideas, clear nutrition facts and beautiful pictures. Some recipes were fancy and some were super simple. I ranked it lower as it did not really address common "special" diets for health (diabetic, heart disease, etc) and some of the recipes were such no brainers- they could have offered more flair or methods to gussy up whole foods.
