I've been reading these to my daughter (6.5yo) and we're both really enjoying them. The mysteries are complex enough that she has to really think about the answer, but most of them, she was able to get after some guidance.

Now that I am older reading these books I think the stories are quite silly (I didn't bothered reading the solutions of most of them) but when I was in Middle School this collection was my favorite. Since the rules of the school library was 2 books per person, I used to ask my friends to take 2 books for me, so I could take around 6 home. Such a good times XD These books are excellent for children, each mystery is short and there is a little drawing at the end of each story to find out how the mystery happened.

My teen-self would give these books a 5 stars.

After reading the Encyclopedia Brown books, I found this series. I flew through them. I loved the use of pictures that Hawkeye drew to solve the mystery. I actually liked these ones better than the Encyclopedia books, but it might be because I am a visual person.

All of the books in this series were amazing, very good brain exercises for young people. Can't say much else, since it was ages ago that I read them.
