The West Coast vegetarian chef serves up two hundred recipes for meals prepared with soy, tempeh, seitan, and "wheat meat," along with helpful tips on how to purchase, store, and use a variety of vegetarian products. Reprint.
This cookbook is a little bit different than every other cookbook I've owned. Its food has a flair to it and many of its recipes are geared towards hosting a small dinner party or lunch, though they are generally adaptable to just-for-home cooking. I think this is a unique cookbook and if I'm looking to try a recipe that's at least a little bit different, this is the first cookbook I check.
I had reservations about this book because the author's photo is on the cover and I thought that was weird. However, I've tried two recipes so far and liked both.
