This book is fantastic! It was given to me as a gift many years ago and I go back to it again and again for its fabulous recipes that I know will turn out just how I want. American-born Celia Brooks-Brown, based in England, makes vegetarian food that really is impressive, exciting, fancy, different and delicious. If it's a special occasion or I want to impress my dinner guests, I reach straight for this book. Of note are the gorgeous Tamales, tender Japanese Omelette, exquisite Spinach and Water Chestnut Wontons, and the absolute knock-out Raspberry Roulade. And both the White Chocolate Mousse Torte and the baked Chocolate Banana Cheesecake have guests insisting on taking the recipe as they leave.

This book and New Vegetarian Entertaining are the best vegetarian cookbooks I've found. (And yes, I own the Vegetarian Times cookbook.) They have great photographs, which have given me a lot of food-styling inspiration. The recipes are easy enough that you'll actually make them, and impressive enough that you'll want to invite your friends over.

Delicious (and some exotic) recipes, but these are not simple. Look in here if you have time, money, and patience.
