In this volume we have a South American revolutionary who keeps returning to Japan even though he's wanted worldwide. The team has to find out why, and the reason is pretty surprising.

Another great volume of this series, which remains consistently very good.

Vol. 3 faithfully adapts the story from episode 7 “Idolater” of the anime TV series.

I am already a big fan of GITS and of cyberpunk stories, but I particularly like this manga series because it offers strong designs and art, excellent storytelling and constitute an easy read. It is quite enjoyable if you like investigative stories with lots of action (sometime quite violent), rich socio-political themes and that are set in a cyberpunk future. I must admit that it has been a long time since I took so much pleasure in the reading a manga. I highly recommend it.

I think I'm done reading this series. It's the third volume and the pacing hasn't improved at all. It's become more and more difficult to justify the Major's clothing choices for the missions they go on. I understand it's for fan service but it just takes me out of the drama of the plot and I can't keep my interest going.

This review is coming from a hardcore GITS fan. I love the series, and I am thrilled to see SOMETHING coming out on it.

GITS SAC #3 covers the seventh episode, "Idolatry – IDOLATOR." It's a "stand alone" episode, covering the surveillance of a foreign drug lord who is a revolutionary hero in Jenoma, a fictional country in South America. It appears to be entirely faithful to the animated episode, and while it can't really communicate the color and action of the episode in the black and white panels, it really does a pretty good job of telling the story

Good Stuff. Essentially a word for word scene for scene copy of the Anime TV show. The part where it is explained what is up with the guy from the other country is clearer in this version. If you like this version of the story you should consider the Anime it is very good.
