I have used this cookbook more times than I could count. I recently made this recipe and we found it quite satisfying.

Sausage- Potato Slow Cooked Dinner

Serves 6-8

1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
6 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
3/4 pound sausage, casings removed and browned
1 onion, chopped
1/4 cup flour
salt to taste
pepper to taste
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese, divided
2 Tablespoons butter
10 3/4 ounce can cream of mushroom soup

Combine water and cream of tartar. Toss sliced potatoes in water. Drain. Layer potatoes, sausage, onion, flour, a sprinkling of salt and pepper, and half of cheddar cheese in slow cooker. Repeat layers until ingredients are used. Dot butter over top. Pour soup over all. Cover. Cook on low 7-9 hours or on high 3-4 hours. Sprinkle reserved cheese over top just before serving.

I use this book much more than the Fix it and Forget it Recipes. Most of the dishes I've made from this book have been successful. I've made some things from the original book that were awful! This would make a great shower gift.

Fun little cookbook that helps you utilize your crock pot to the fullest! Perfect recipes for making hospitality much easier in the food department as you can prep and plan ahead or simply just throw it all together and, BAM! instant success in feeding the masses and making your home smell amazing! Plus, gives you more time to actually sit and chat, instead of stand over the stove.

This one is even better than the original fix-it and forget-it. What I love the most is that they give you many variations of the same recipe from different people throughout the country. I find I take some from one recipe and some from another, and have my own. Absolutely fantastic if you're a busy person and need a great slow cooked meal to come home to.

This is my favorite cookbook ever. It has a wide range of recipes so you can make something fancy with lots of ingredients or something totally simple and basic. There's a huge selection and it's organized great.

I liked it but the ratio of good recipes to Mmnnh recipes is 1:15. A lot of the recipes listed are similar to each other. Especially in the meat sections, for roast they have several but they'll only be 1 or 2 ingredients different that the one before. Not worth buying.

This has some great recipes in it. There were some clunkers too but for the most part I copied a bunch, made a few already & shared several w/ Mom & friends. I'm going to have to look for some more titles as the author has several published.

A good cookbook but there's a lot of overlap of recipes with all the other Fix it and Forget it books.

Buy the Big Fix it and Forget it book.

The only problem I had was... if you are entertaining, you need several pots to do different things. These are not just meals. There is more to it.

Some good everyday recipes. Now if I only used my slow cooker more often.

Some good ideas, but the recipes seem a little outdated. Many references to margarine and Velveeta 🤯🤯
