I thought these adventure stories are getting better and better. I liked the idea of the twins going to New York for a ballet performance Ashley was doing. I like how they are showing how the twins are different and have different talents and likes. I am so happy to start re-reading the New Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley. I am feeling like a tween again

April 3, 2020The Trenchcoat Twins continue solving mysteries in this updated series with Mary-Kate and Ashley! While Goodreads lists The Case of the Ballet Bandit as the second book, the book itself is marketed as the first in The New Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley. Not much has changed in terms of content, but the books do get a facelift with colorful covers and new chapter headings. Say goodbye to that nice chunk of photos on the middle, though!
In terms of the storyline of this book, I have to say I'm a bit disappointed. Suspects are introduced, only to have a silly plot twist in the end. I guess I should come to expect that with these books, but I feel like they tried to kick the mystery up a notch. We'll see what happens as the series continues!

I'm reading these books because my friend Steph challenged me to.
Obviously I am not the target audience for this series, but this one was still pretty lame.

I grew up with these girls in the spotlight but never read one of their kids books. It was cute and enjoyable.

Mary-Kate & Ashley are in New York with their family and for Ashley to be in a ballet. She's super excited and nervous to be a part of the show, but when the lead dancer's lucky tiara goes missing, Mary-Kate & Ashley must solve the case before the show.
This was another good one in this series. It was really cute, and I adored Clue! Now, I can't wait for more!
