A great set of eleven short stories. Some are better than others, but only one I'd consider a klunker.
The best: "When the Clock Strikes" by Tanith Lee. A twisted take on the Cinderella story that works wonderfully.
"A Friend in Need" by Lisa Tuttle. Cool story about imaginary friends.
The klunker: "The Quickening" by Michael Bishop. Great concept--what would happen if everybody in the world woke up in a completely different part of the world. First, it's dated (published 1982) because the Internet would sort it all out quickly. Second, it's heavy-handed Tower of Babel stuff. Too obvious and I don't think he makes it believable.
11 stories from 1981. The Zelazny won a Hugo Award and the Bishop won a Nebula.
