Claiming the Viscount Viper - Evangeline Priest - 4 stars

Lord Aurleon is a Naga and has found his mate. He has every intention of claiming his fated mate.
”I want you to know, Miss Stella. If you decide to run, I will be glad to give chase.” His eyes smoldered her. “You should know that no matter how fast you run, I will overtake you. No matter where you hide, I will find you.”

Nooriya is attracted to Lord Aurleon on a deep level. She is beneath his station and doesn’t think he’d ever be interested. How wrong she is!

This was quick, a little dirty, and sweet with a HEA.

His Monstrous Tithe - Clio Evans - 3.5 - 4 stars

Eire returns to the forest for her monster because she knows he is her future. Her monster, a werecat and king of the forest, accepts her offering.

”Yes, Eire would be my mate, mine for eternity. She was my little red-haired lioness, my beautiful anam cara.

I’m happy Clio wrote a romance that was just MF. I really enjoyed this. It was smutty and short and I wish it had been longer. Complete with a HEA.

Darkstorm - Vivienne Hart - 2.5 stars

Oaklyn, a human with dryad ancestry, goes hiking looking for cryptids and falls prey to a bride hunt/raid by the Kalzak troll tribe. Bradoc is the tribe’s alpha hunter and raid leader and isn’t looking for a wife but when he’s injured and needs Oaklyn’s help…well things change.

This wasn’t bad but I didn’t really feel much chemistry between Oaklyn and Bradoc. They seemed like they could live without each other and were together for convenience. Beyond that, it was a fairly cute, slow-burn quick romance with a HEA.

A Harpy Time - Dee St. Holm - 3 stars

Theo escorts his sister Penny to the Monsters ball but doesn’t want to leave her alone. That’s how he finds himself entangled on a wall outside the ball and found and saved by a beautiful harpy named Lady Enid.

The two enter into some mischief and find they have a lot more in common than they thought. Their night takes a steamy turn with Enid parting from Theo by morning.

”Theo might not have been a great believer in fate, but something told him that last night wouldn’t be the last he saw of Lady Enid DeWhitt”

I liked Enid. She was feisty and fun. Theo didn’t have that alpha male personality I live for in my romances but he was sweet. This ends on a cliffhanger and I do look forward to reading the rest of their story.

The Satyr’s Wood - S.J. Sanders - 3 stars

The world has changed and before Tiffany is forced into a marriage she doesn’t want, she flees. She meets Barbasa, a satyr with secrets. Could these two be each other’s salvation?

”He would claim what was his and take her home. He would seed her and keep her. His female. His.”

This was smutty and fun. I didn’t love the past mate part but that’s personal preference. It had a lot more description/telling rather than dialogue/showing. Both MCs were likable. This ends on a HFN/HEA.

Enticing Brody - Nova Blake - 3 stars

Brody wants to be the best but isn’t so great at archery. Picking up his stray arrows, he finds Selene badly injured and is cursed. He must complete three tasks to break it. But Brody and Selene find something deeper in the process.

”Let me taste you. Let me love you. If I’m going to die, then I want to do it between your legs. I need you.”

This was interesting. I was a little confused at the world it was set in. But it was entertaining and a little smutty with a HEA.

Ignis Fatuus - YD La Mar - 3.5 - 4 stars

Fenella has lost her parents and in her grief finds herself in Scotland with her great aunt. One evening she finds herself pulling a Merida and following some whisps. Faeries can be tricksters and she’s about to find out how much.

Here she runs into a beast that claims she is his and has fought to find her.

”Make no mistake, Fenella, you were mine the moment I obtained the first piece of you.”

Morel has been protecting her for a long time and will do anything to make her his forever. Will Fenella take a chance at love?

This was a little confusing but it was dirty and I was here for it. This ends on a HEA.

A Wooden Heart - Cassie Alexander - No Rating

No idea what I just read 😂

A Well-Kept Secret - Vera Valentine - 3 stars

Part draconic/part djinn, Moss-Fang sits at the bottom of a well and lives off coined wishes. One day Tira invades his space.

”That’s it…good girl…”

These two are meant to be but there are obstacles. Cute short story.

In Their Web - Ashley Bennett - Did Not Read - No Rating

Not my thing 🤷🏻‍♀️

The Applethorpe Garden - C.M. Nascosta - 3.5 stars

Well this was the cutest and ENTIRELY too short😭.

✨ I plan on reading all the stories in this anthology ✨

This review is for Ashley Bennetts In their Web
5/5 ⭐️ 4/5🌶️

Ashley’s a one click author for me so I was really excited to read this anthology! The FFM monster romance was really cute. I typically don’t like FF and prefer MM, but this was really well written. I loved that consent and safe word in the beginning were discussed before the scene played out. We meet Spencer the madam and Burke with some primal play. I loved that the dynamic of their relationship and the smüt was spicy 🥵

This review is for Clio Evans His Monstrous Tithe
5/5 ⭐️ 4/5 🌶️

I love Clio Evans monster romances. We meet the Monster and Eire. She is the woods looking for him because he’s her mate. The whole short was a spicy scene, but I loved how the monster took care of her. He insisted on grooming her (WHICH I LOVED) and then took great care to make sure she wasn’t hurt. I loved their little story.

Alder is the cutest. He had the corniest dad jokes and was so sweet to Ellie. I loved this cute little scene with them and the smüt was 🥵

Didn’t live up to the cover.

Not enough to interest me.
Very few stories surroundings plants, plant specific monsters, or narratives focused on forests.
Essentially fantasy based romance, with a few more less common monsters.

March 23rd, 2023: I received my ARC copy of this right before I left for Califonia. And I started reading it this day on the 10-hour drive there.

This is a collection of amazing stories seeped in love, fated mates and so so much spice.
The first of eleven 'Claiming the Viscount Viper' is surrounded by Lord Kurzon, and Nooriya. The way he convinces her to join the hunt so he can claim her is ridiculous and wonderfully done! This story is by Evangeline Priest.

The second of eleven 'Darkstorm' is about Oaklyn and Bradoc, the FMC goes into the woods on a soul hunt. Little does she know the bridal hunt is happening Bradoc finds her, and he works his tooshie off to win her over! This is written by Vivienne Hart.

The third of eleven 'Enticing Brody' follows Brody and Selene, is about Brody being cursed by Selene's mother. It is a gripping story that makes your heart beat way to quickly. It is written by Nova Blake.

The fourth or eleven 'A harpy time' is about Theo and Enid. He is worried about his sister being forced to attend the Monster Ball so he sneaks in himself where he finds the FMC who agrees to help him, during this time they began to fall for one another. This is written by 'Dee St. Holm.

The fifth of eleven 'The Satyr’s Wood' follows Satyr the escapie from the labyrinth, he lives alone deep in the woods until he catches the scent of Tiffany. She is seeking her own escape from the men of her village. Though he lies here and there he will do anything and everything to protect and make her happy. Written by S.J. Sanders.

The sixth of eleven 'His Monstrous Tithe' tells the tale of Eire a werecat who helps keep the humans our the realm of the monster though all he desires is to find his soulmate. Written by Clio Evans.

The seventh of eleven 'The Applethorpe Garden' is about Ellie who crash-landed on an unknown planet. Then there is Alder a fairy who works as a horticulturist in the Manors greenhouse. These twos love blooms like the flowers around them. Written by C.M. Nascosta.

The eighth of eleven 'Ignas Fatuus' is about Fanella who takes a trip to Scotland after the death of her parents so she can reconnect and visit her family. But it all goes arye when she is drawn to the world of faeries where she meets Morel the bone fea, who collected her childhood teeth knowing she was fated to be his. Written by YD La Mar.

In the ninth of eleven 'In Their Web' we are introduced to Spencer who cannot help but watch Burke a spider/man/creature along with Moth Madam as they play with one another in the woods. Written by Ashley Bennett.

The tenth of elven 'A Well-Kept Secret' follows along with Tira a girl left alone by her fellow thieves and is seeking out funds so she seeks out the legendary well that is said to hoard coins. Little does she know she stepped into the layer of a Moss-Fang, a djinn-dragon hybrid. Written by Vera Valentine.

The final story in this anthology is called 'A Wooden Heart' where you follow along with Val a mage who finds overwhelming joy when the girl he loves, Shayla returns after years of being gone. He takes it upon himself to protect and love the woman he nearly lost and the son she turned up with. Written by Cassie Alexander.

I loved each story and found myself swooning over so many of these men, I would read this over and over again, BUT it is only available for a limited time so go now and get it!

★ Great sampling of creative monster love stories from myths and legends ★

—>>> This anthology, Volume 3 (Lost in the Forest) was a great sampling of creative monster love stories from myths and legends! My three favorites were:
💋 CLAIMING THE VISCOUNT VIPER by EVANGELINE PRIEST (An Obsidian Rift x Monsters Ball Story) - This is the second naga story I have ever read, and I enjoyed the traditional New Moon hunt by Lord Kurzon, who knows he has an interested prey in his newly hired housekeeper, and further invests in securing her for his mate.

“I want you to know, Miss Sella. If you decide to run, I will be glad to give chase.” His eyes smoldered her. “You should know that no matter how fast you run, I will overtake you. No matter where you hide, I will find you.”

💋 IN THEIR WEB by ASHLEY BENNETT (A Briar Glenn Short Story)

Spencer’s healthy curiosity leads her deep into the woods where she comes upon two creatures who give her a whole new alluring and kinky world to explore.

“A little moth in my woods all by her lonesome?”

“They were monsters through and through. These morally gray, flawed beings that existed on the fringe of society.”

“I become enamored with them; drawn to the pair like a moth to a flame.”

💋 GNIS FATUUS by YD LA MAR

The fascinating character of Morel as the Bone Faerie and the one he has been waiting for so long: Fenella has finally come to him on his home turf of Scotland to visit her last living relative. A bargain for her release from his captivity was just a prelude to claiming her as his forever.

“Make no mistake, Fenella, you were mine the moment I obtained the first piece of you.”

“She was gullible. That was why she needed a protector, a male to claim her. Didn’t she know she should never bargain with the fae?”

“Beware Ignis Fatuus. Beware the bone faerie,” came a small, low voice in the breeze. “He destroys everything in his path, including the living.”

Claiming the Viscount Viper - Evangeline Priest
4.5/5 -- Tropes:
If anyone isn't familiar with the universe this comes from - Monster Ball - I'd suggest checking it out! This one was a little apart from the main books but very enjoyable. I just wish we got a bit of a better description of our MMC.

His Monstrous Tithe - Clio Evans
3.5/5 -- Tropes:
This was super short, but despite my prior feelings on the particular monster type, I actually enjoyed it! I'd have liked to know a little more about the monster of the woods and why he was so fearsome.

Darkstorm - Vivienne Hart
4/5 -- Tropes:
It was a bit hard being dropped into a clearly established universe but overall this was a fun, easy read! It was neat the way modern met monster.

A Harpy Time - Dee St Holm
4/5 -- Tropes:
It was interesting swapping the monster to be the female in the pairing in this universe. My first harpy but I didn't mind it!

"You should know that no matter how fast you run, I will overtake you. No matter where you hide, I will find you."

I'm so excited for this anthology! It's full of tons of my one click authors, as well as some authors I've been dying to try out. I plan to work my way through all of these short stories and will be adding to my review as I go.

Evangeline Priest: Claiming the Viscount Viper
4⭐️ 3🌶️
I really enjoyed this short and spicy novella. Regency isn’t typically my thing but I actually really enjoyed the regency/monster combo in this story and the fated mates aspect was a perfect bonus. This was my first Evangeline Priest read and will certainly not be my last…seriously, I’m going back to read every anthology story I have and will be adding even more to by TBR.

Clio Evans: His Monstrous Tithe
5⭐️ 4🌶️
This was short, spicy, and absolutely wonderful. I don’t think I’ve ever read a werecat book but I hope this isn't the last. I’m always down for a fated mate story and I really enjoyed the Celtic aspects thrown into this one, as well as the size difference and of course, knotting (double!). I absolutely love the writing style of Clio Evans and she is quickly slipping into a top read author for me.

Ashley Bennett: In Their Web
5⭐️ 4🌶️
Let me preface this by saying that I absolutely hate spiders. Loathe them. But I LOVED this novella. I haven’t previously read any FFM books and yet, here Ashley was selling me twice over. I was so intrigued when we got a glimpse into the Moth Madame in Tentacles and Triathlons and I’m thrilled that we got to venture into her world in this brief, spicy story. The female dom vibes were so strong and I really enjoyed how our spider sir used his webs to tie our human up in pretty and deliciously spicy ways. I do hope we get more glances into this trio in the future but for now, I’m absolutely satisfied with this fantastic story.

Monstrously Good

This anthology is filled with monsters, from civilized to feral, sweet to terrifying. Claiming the Viscount Viper by Evangeline Priest featured Lord Kurzon finding his mate in maid Nooriya, with a chase and a traditional marriage. I loved their instant attraction and the heat that follows after. In His Monstrous Tithe by Clio Evans, Eire finds her future and her monster in one sorta sweet werecat package. These two seal the deal with some double-knotting - phew, hot! Vivienne Hart’s Darkstorm find Oaklyn kidnapped and married to a troll. I really like the discussion of the different cultures and how Oaklyn and Bradoc merged their lives. I loved the merger of regency and monsters in Dee St. Holm’s A Harpy Time. Theo and Enid’s characters leapt off the page - I’m so glad they get a full length story (The Harpy and The Gentleman). The Satyr’s Wood by S J Sanders is a surprisingly slow-build, but when the romance between Barbasa and Tiffany finally reaches a boiling, it is immensely satisfying. Nova Blake’s Enticing Brody is a sweet and charming romance between an archer who needs practice and a harpy princess with an arrow injury - whoops! Info’s Fatuus by Y D La Mar is delicious dark - Morel is not a good guy, but somehow, Fenella is the key to his sanity. I loved this spin on “tooth fairy”. Whoo-wee, In Their Web by Ashley Bennett brings the monstrous heat time two! A moth-madam, a spider man, a not-so-innocent-and-completely-willing human young woman and a whole lot of bondage fun! I wish their had been more, but this small taste of these three was delicious! C M Nacosta’s short slice-of-life story The Applethorpe Garden is sweet and slightly dorky, with a little bit of vibe bondage thrown in fit spice. I adored Alder and Ellie.

I loved this anthology! Anthologies are a hit or miss for me, but this one had so many authors whose names I recognized as having read before, and I loved the theme, so it was a must-read for me. Some of my favorite stories were:

"His Monstrous Tithe" by Clio Evans

A werecat- protector of the forest, and Erie- the human who fell in love with him- and won his heart. I loved this so much and wish it was longer! It was way too short! 5 stars

'I knelt in front of him, the beast of the forest. He was a king amongst creatures. But when he looked at me, gone was the fierce killer my people knew. Instead, I was faced with softness. With pride.
“You honor me, lass,” he whispered reverently.'

"Claiming the Viscount Viper" by Evangeline Evans

I loved this story as I deeply love nagas. This one features naga Lord Aurleon and housekeeper Nooriya. She is beneath his station and resists him, despite a powerful attraction- one that he feels as well- which he makes known when he claims her as his bride. A very fun read. 5 stars.

'Nooriya looked up at him, her eyes shining with love, and Kurzon knew in that moment that he never wanted to let her go.'

"In Their Web" by Ashley Bennett

A spider man, Moth Madam(!), and human Spencer. This was a really fun one and I liked the dynamic between the three of them. 4 stars

'He smiled, his fangs on full display. “You’re ours to keep, little moth.”'

This anthology also includes:
"Darkstorm" by Vivienne Hart
"A Harpy Time" by Dee St. Holm
"The Satyr's Wood" by S.J. Sanders
"Enticing Brody" by Nova Blake
"Ignis Fattus" by YD La Mar
"A Wooden Heart" by Cassie Alexander
"A Well-Kept Secret" by Vera Valentine

Monsters in Love
Lost in the Forest
A Paranormal Monster Romance Anthology

709 pages
Currently on KU in the USA.
Publication date March 25, 2023

I received an advanced reader copy of this book, and this is my honest review. Please, watch out for possible spoilers, including but not limited to, TW/CN/Etc.

I read two of the stories in this anthology, and like always, they were amazing. I highly suggest grabbing this anthology while it is available.

Claiming the Viscount Viper, by Evangeline Priest
Possible TW, Tropes, and Genres
Mature, Spicy, Romance, Paranormal, Fantasy, Fated Mates, Biting, Knotting, Graphic Sex, Instalove, Size Difference, Pheromones, Naga/Human Sex, Monster Romance, Servant/Lord Relationships, V Card, Three heads (if you count the one on his shoulders), Masturbation, and possibly more.

This fated mates, human and naga short story is absolutely adorable. Fated Mates are not always found in the same station, race, species, etc as each other. And this spicy tale shows that, it doesn’t matter when it comes to your fated mate. When you find them, you love them for as long as you both can. It is adorable, spicy, go read it.

His Monstrous Tithe, by Clio Evans
Possible TW, Tropes, and Genres
Mature, Spicy, Romance, Paranormal, Fantasy, Full Shifted Sex, Double Knots, Knotting, Tongue Sex, Anal Virgin, Heat, Werecat/Human Sex, Monster Sex, Fated Mates, Soul Mates, and possibly more.

This story is about a human who has fallen for a monster, in a world where that is not allowed. Where monsters and men war and kill each other. But, love always finds a way. Always. Eire was saved by the monster in the forest that all men fear, and in doing so they took each other's hearts. It’s cute. It’s spicy. It’s worth a read.

Short, spicy, and amazing! I loved that this story was Celtic and had a monster I’m not used to seeing. It was everything I was hoping for from Clio! The only thing I wish it had was the monster’s name. He is deliciously monstrous but it felt weird that he was only called Monster.

CM Nacosta: The Applethorpe Garden
5⭐️ 3🌶️
- Scottish myth
- Cheesiest jokes ever
- Bondage

This story was incredibly sweet. Alder is the such a dork and tells the worst plant related jokes I’ve ever heard but I loved every second of it. He was the softest sweetest dom with the prettiest restraints.

I love Ashley and I liked this story about as much as could be expected for someone with arachnophobia but I knew if anyone could make me like it, it would be her. I also generally prefer it when the males outnumber the females but once again I was willing to put my faith in her and I’m glad I did! Ashley has convinced me I need more arachnoid and FFM reads!

MONSTERS IN LOVE: LOST IN THE FORST ANTHOLOGY
5/5 ⭐
4/5 🌶️

This anthology is full of woodsy monsters and I love every one I read about. Listed below are all the stories and individual reviews for the ones I've read. I will continue to update them when/if I finish them.

CLAIMING THE VISCOUNT VIPER - EVANGELINE PRIEST 4%-7%

5/5 🌶️

This was my first read from Evangeline Priest and it certainly won't be my last. This monster regency romance was high high heat and oh so cute. Kurzon and Nooriya were both such lovable characters and I really enjoyed reading about them. I loved the idea of the Bride Games and Nooriya submitting to Kurzon before he took her off to his bed chambers. We got tails, knots, dp and more. It was the perfect monster novella.

IN THEIR WEB - ASHLEY BENNETT 92-97%

5/5 ⭐
5/5 🌶️

I'm not normally one for spiders, but Burke can wrap me up in his web any day. And Madam Moth's dirty talk had me swoooooning. I absolutely loved all three of these characters, Spencer was the perfect little brat too. It was such a fun and k!nkee little novella.

THE APPLETHORPE GARDEN - CM NACOSTA 97%-100%

4/5 ⭐
3/5 🌶️

This was such a cute novella. I really loved both Alder and Ellie, they were so dorky and sweet. Alder was a bit of a soft Dom, adorably dominant. The dad jokes were absolutely hilarious and I thought Avrille was a perfect bestie.

I read 2 of the shorts in this anthology! Both are 5 star shorts for me!! I am a sucker for revisiting series that I love in these anthologies for sure. I am also a sucker for some light (or not light) bondage with interesting rope substitutes and BOTH of these entries have that.

In Her Web by Ashley Bennett: 5 stars / 5 peppers!
-I was introduced to the Moth Madam in the Monsters in Love anthology that released just a couple weeks ago. In A Briar Glen Halloween. She does not disappoint!!! Especially with her pet spider-man and her bratty human. It's just a short spicy snip with some interesting web work!

The Applethorpe Garden by C.M. Nascosta: 5 stars / 5 peppers!
-This had everything I love about Cambric Creek stories. A slightly scattered, hyper fixated, dorky monster man who is just the right amount of dominant in the bedroom. A curvy, tiny bit insecure woman who realizes that she is a fucking catch and goes after what she wants. And cameos and easter eggs of other characters sprinkled on top!! Bonus points for this one because Alder can make vines grow and tie up Ellie with a thought. Very hot.

Amazing and steamy short stories (review will be updated)

Claiming the Viscount Viper by Evangeline Priest
This short story was steamy right from the start, oh my gosh! Nooriya Sella serves the Naga household, and ends up serving her master in more ways than expected.
I love the inclusion of fated mates and that Nooriya was not entirely human. Also there is just something so hot about a monstrous love interest smelling and being aware of the FMCs desire.... just goddamn!!!!!!! AND THE CONSENSUAL CHASING AND CLAIMING?! OH MY!!!!

“I want you to know, Miss Sella. If you decide to run, I will be glad to give chase.” His eyes smoldered her. “You should know that no matter how fast you run, I will overtake you. No matter where you hide, I will find you.”
She didn’t know how to respond to him, so entranced was she by his fervor. “I am sure that you will.”

A Harpy Time by Dee St. Holm
OH WOW OH BOY. THIS SHORT STORY HAD EVERYTHING I LOVE AND MADE ME CRAVE MORE. First of ALL! MONSTROUS LADY LOVE INTEREST (a HARPY!!!!!!!!!! to boot!!!!!). AND SHE SAVES THE MMC!!!!! SHE TEASES HIM AND PLAYS WITH HIM !!! ALSO THIS CUTE COUPLE SEEMS SO SIMIALAR (THEY ARE BOTH NERDS WHO BOTH SAY GOOD GRIEF AND I LOVE IT). I loved reading their adventure and it made me want to read about Theo's sister. Also Enid holding him in her wings was sickeningly sweet.

Holy god, it was like being taken by a master of the art— by some ancient god of desire who spent his days hidden behind tweed coats and polite demeanors.
But there was nothing polite about the way he drove into her.
Her eyes rolled. Claws sunk into the earth.

Monsters in Love . . .

This is a limited edition ANTHOLOGY with 11 short stories of monsters looking for their mates. The great part about this collection is that it is widely varied in the “monsters” focused on, so the reader had a good variety to choose from and enjoy. In these stories we focus on: a Naga, trolls, harpies, Satyr, werecat, faeries, djinn-dragon hybrid, and a mage. Read them in any order that strikes your mood. My only issue was where do I start?

Monsters in Love, Vol. 3: Lost in the Forest is the third of five volumes in a Monster Romance Anthology. Each story is written by a different author, has multiple POV's, and ends in a HEA.

This Volume has stories by Eva Priest writing as Evangeline Priest, Vivienne Hart, Nova Blake, Dee J. Holmes, Opal Fairchild, Elle Cross, Atlas Rose, S.J. Sanders, Clio Evans, C.M. Nascosta, YD La Mar, Ashley Bennett, Vera Valentine, and Cassie Alexander.

I loved each and every story that was in this book. These are such amazing authors, and can really tell a story in just a few thousand words. Each story is a standalone, but part of a larger universe by the author. It is your very typical monster romance, with fated mates, non-human characters, mating and mate bites, and more.

I just finished reading A Harpy Time by Dee St.Holm. I couldn’t resist diving into the story of Theo Essex, heir to a bankrupt baronetcy and loyal brother. After meeting Theo in the Monterous Duke & I and seeing the care he takes for his sister, I was smitten. So naturally, I needed this anthology so I could assuage my curiosity. The one night affair of Theo & Enid was a mischievous, exciting romp. Theo may look the studious waif, but he hides a beastly side within and he doesn’t hold back from meeting Enid challenge for challenge. I loved their dynamic of one-upmanship. Enid is a strong, self-reliant woman and rather than be intimidated by that, Theo revels in its beauty. This is a quick read, but it doesn’t hold back and I can’t wait for them to meet again.

This review is for “The Satyr’s Woods” by SJ Sanders
Review: 5-stars
Meant to be!
He’s alone and lonely, without a flock. She’s longing for a monster such as him. What an intriguing story! I’ve been wondering what happened with Barbasa, once he escaped from the labyrinth. Tiffany is so brave, escaping into the unknown rather than staying in such undesirable circumstances. Trusting Barbasa to take her to safety is a huge step. I love the cautious approach they take with each other, especially at first. I don’t picture satyrs as either patient or gentle. Barbasa, however is an exception with Tiffany. This becomes a surprisingly sweet romance. Excellent story!

There has to be something here for everyone. The tale where things go bump in the night, going into the woods alone, living amongst monsters, it's all there. From female monsters and their human mates and vice versa. From sweet like the Applethorpe Garden by CM Nascota to darker like In Their Web from Ashely Bennett.
if you have been following the Monster's Ball books you will definitely want to see what happens to Penny's brother from Monstrous Duke by Dee St Holm, along with another landed Viper by Evangeline Priest and if you have read Blooded Labiryth by S.J, Sanders you will find Barbasa's story here too. Just some of my favourites.

Monsters in Love: Lost in the Forest is another exciting collection of stories by various authors with some new to me and others I follow. Each author’s offering serves up lots of thrills, chills and steamy sensuous monster/human romance highlighted by their good writing and is sure to keep the reader eagerly turning the pages.
I enjoyed all the included stories which kept me entertained and fanning myself as I progressed through this very satisfying walk through the dark.

I LOVED the variety of spice and the plethora of monsters you encounter in this antho!

My favorite part if anthologies js finding new authors to obsess over, and boy did I! Some of these authors hit the ball out of the park!

I'll be keeping my eyes peeled to see if some of my favorite stories get turned into full length novels.

I like this collection a lot. I think the group of authors is a good fit for me as I already knew and like most of them. The stories are a good length for the most part. And they were entertaining and a pretty good mix.

I only read a few of the stories.

CM Nacosta has a story at the very end of the anthology. A nerdy plant guy and his plant volunteer. It was too short. You get more of the story if you subscribe to her newsletter, which felt like a gimmick. I did subscribe and the additional parts of the story are good.

I liked the story with the half djinn half dragon in the wishing well too.

big multi book

There was some great stories in this book, 2 wasn’t my cup of “books”. Not into bugs. But the rest had great character development and background stories. Original stories that are fresh. SJ Sanders was the only author I have read her stories before and she reason I got this book. I was not disappointed.
