Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches, Vol. 4 (My Kindle Review)

The witchy-ness is growing as Yamada and his peers learn that another witch is in their school: shy Otsuka who has the power of telepathy and that creates some craziness when he preps for a big test. It also looks like there’s another one coming his way. A- (91%/Excellent)

I could've read this in three days if I really tried. But oh well, let's just accept that this took a little longer and move on.

This manga keeps on getting better and better. I love how light-hearted and ridiculous it is. It's a breather from a lot of the stuff going on right now in the States.

We were introduced to two more witches, although the majority of the volume revolves around Meiko Otsuka, a quiet girl Yamada is in summer make-up classes with while on the school club summer trip, and her ability. She has telepathy, where she can communicate with people in their heads. Her personality becomes a lot more serious and militaristic, which compensates for her anxiety when talking to people in real life. She seemed really sweet but also driven to get what she wanted, and I respect that. There was also a really interesting incident where she started crushing on Shiraishi in Yamada's body, and it was cleared up pretty fast. I appreciate that misunderstandings don't last long in this series when people try to communicate.

There was also the trying to get into a clubroom at the resort only for it to be for naught once the make-up test was done because the whole place had been cleared out, more fanservice (even some male-oriented stuff, which I LOVED; more scenes with boys in hot springs and shirtless chapter cards, pls), and Nene being as sassy as ever. Also, I really like Shiraishi and Yamada as a unit.

I'm looking forward to more shenanigans in the next volume. This is quickly becoming a new favorite! I live for the awesome facial expressions, the crazy jokes, and, of course, watching these characters bounce off each other. I would love more of Miyabi and Toranosuke driving Yamada crazy. It's funny.



Also, I really like how the chapters are named after quotes or sound effects in the actual text. It's cute!

Der vierte Teil hat mir ebenso gut gefallen wie die Teile davor. Auch hier geht es spannend und witzig weiter, denn die Freunde finden auch schon die nächste Hexe.
Natürlich tun die Freunde immer noch alles, um in den Clubraum zu kommen und die nächsten Bände über die Hexen zu finden, aber dafür müssen Ryu und andere erst einmal die Nachprüfung bestehen. Meiko ist eine von den Personen, die die Nachprüfung bestehen müssen und wer sich denken kann ist sie auch die nächste Hexe. Ich frage mich immer wieder was die nächste Zauberkraft sein könnte und schon kommt die Autorin mit Ideen, die ich gar nicht in Erwägung gezogen habe.
Das macht das ganze noch spannender und bereitet umso mehr Freude beim Lesen.
Auch die lustigen Stellen und die Tollpatschigkeit Ryus kommen hier nicht zu kurz, sodass man ganz viel Spaß beim Lesen hat. 
Aber ich muss sagen, dass mir bei diesem Teil ziemlich oft langweilig wurde und ich nicht wirklich Lust hatte weiter zu lesen, weil es einfach Stellen gab, die unnötig in die Länge gezogen wurden. Daher habe ich diesen Teil nicht in einem Rutsch durchgelesen.

Ich gebe diesem Band 3 von 5 Sternen.

When I first saw the anime adaptation of this series, I know I'm going to read its manga soon. And the time has come, haha.

It's pretty obvious that I love the anime, and my! I couldn't be happier because I love the manga as well. The drawing were so good and those facial expressions were hilarious!

I also love the story line, I know witches idea can be cliche, but I love how the author made this story different. Why it was different? You've got to find it out for yourselves ;)

It was doing pretty good actually until after the part of the first ceremony. I think they just added a twist to it to make it longer and I'm not specially a fan of those lots of memory lost moments. But oh well, the author redeem herself because of that very cute HEA! What more could you wish for eh?

Meiko was super funny inside her head and also Miyamura in this volume was definitely hilarious as he kept saying "Boobs" to Yamada all the time like they were having a serious conversation and Miyamura just kept saying "Boobs". Meiko's ability is really neat if you're going to cheat in exams hahaha

No es mi bruja favorita, ni el mejor avance en la trama. ¡Pero! Siguen avanzando al ritmo del amor -broma-, esta historia no es tan cursi.

¡El Club de Misterios Sobrenaturales se acerca cada vez más a descubrir el mágico secreto de su secundaria! Al mismo tiempo que Yamada y Urara se acercan lentamente, tan lento que Miyamura hizo mejores progresos con el bobo protagonista.

Hvězdu ubírám za trošku nudnější první půlku. Za to, ale mohla nová postava jejíž schopnosti byli docela nuda a celkově její část nepatřila k těm "nejzábavnějším". Naštěstí to potom zase nabralo dech a byla to klasická odpočinková pecka se skvělými postavami. Navíc po té nudné tam ještě přibyla nová postava jejíchž schopnost vypadá minimálně zajímavě a její linka zábavně!

There are more witches, and I like Yamada's theories about each witch and how their powers correspond to their personalities.

I have some issues with Myamura the pervert, but other than that, the characters are funny and engaging. and it's nice to add an aditional goal to the manga, aslo adding more stakes and backstory for Yamada is interesting.

Still has some boys will be boys behavior and some chikan behavior but I am really enjoying it. It makes me laugh and I really like the art. All the characters look different are very easy to tell apart. The plot seems to be moving along well. I like both Yamada and Urara Shiraishi so much. I am really enjoying this manga.

Quick thoughts: I found one arc here (and the featured witch) slightly less interesting than others, but this volume also starts one of my favorites. Still an unexpectedly fun and compelling manga.

相変わらずファンサービス多いね。でも話は少しずつ面白くなる。魔女の能力が増えて力の交流は面白い。皆の事件は笑わせるし。コメディーの話は時々いいねと思う。

We meet two new witches this volume. One who can communicate with others through their minds, even forming a group-chat through their minds. And this group wants to use Yamada to cheat on their summer test. Then we meet another who can see the future, and has stopped going to school because of an accident she’s seen coming.

I’m just really enjoying this series. I love the sexual undertones and innuendos, and how none of them really care about gender at this point. I mean, when Yamada’s friends get love-crazy over him, they’re very unashamed about it, even if one of them’s a guy.

I’m really impressed with the clear characteristics with each character, which make it obvious who is who, even when they’re body-switched. Everyone is so unique, and the way they act and talk and stand is clearly different. The detail in that is nice.

I’m looking forward to reading the next volume. This is a surprisingly fun series.

Awyeaah! Otsuka Meiko is <3 Too bad they didn't animate Otsuka's confession to Yamada. With the info Yamada got from Otsuka, they finally found the fourth witch, Sarushima Maria. This witch's power is something like related with clairvoyance but can only be channeled through kissing as well. Sarushima has seen that Yamada and her will be blamed for burning down the school building. How will they change the future? Surprisingly, this volume ended with an introduction of the new character.Can't wait to read the next volume. ^__^

La nuova streghetta mi piace da impazzire con la sua doppia personalità, mentre i suoi compari mi sembrano un po' troppo viscidotti per i miei gusti.

Mi piace perché tutti baciano tutti, senza alcun problema. Maschietti e femminucce. Anche se sembra un po' strano che banalizzino così tanto un gesto così importante come un bacio sulla bocca.

E qui viene fuori il romanticismo di Soobie, quello che lei tenta disperatamente di non far uscire fuori...

J’ai bien aimé ce quatrième tome, étant donné que les personnages sont en vacances, si ce n’est Yamada qui doit se farcir les cours de rattrapage, ça avait un goût de repos, c’était dépaysant à souhait.
Les illustrations sont toujours aussi chouettes, certaines plus belles que d’autres.
J’ai passé un excellent moment, j’ai adoré cette lecture.

The more I read this series, the more fascinating it becomes. I want to know the how and why of the witch's powers. And most importantly, I want to know the what. I want to know all the witch's powers.
