OK. This is a terrible book. But it's GREAT. Great.

This book hits ALLLLLL the old school Romance tropes: alien abductions, sex kidnappers, little green men and THE Mary Sue to rule all Mary Sues: Brianna.

Brianna is a "spitfire." *nods* She has waist-length red hair and green eyes. She's über-intelligent and thinks quickly on her feet. She's scared of nothing. She has attitude for everything (and one). EVERYONE wants her: to be her friend or to be her man. She's adopted by damn near everyone she meets (if they're good). Men are willing to risk it all for her (love/body/whateves).

Brianna takes the universe by storm, lol.

It's SO OTT that you either HATE IT or giggle/snort yourself into oblivion.

One word of warning: the sex scenes SUCK. Skip all of them, seriously.

___________________________________

Have you ever read a Romance novel and thought to yourself, this is the most ridiculous cliched bullshit I’ve ever read? How did this get published?? I’m obviously in the wrong business…

Well, this is almost that book. But it’s not. Because this book is a cliched ridiculous mess on purpose (which makes it funny). This book has it all: beautiful red-haired “spitfire” heroine (with green eyes, of course); handsome and rich hero; being kidnapped by aliens for weird alien sex; princesses; cat people; assassins….

Well, you get the point. It’s like…everything is here. There is no way this wasn’t written tongue in cheek. How does Brianna communicate with these people from a different galaxy? They use a "Medirian ghena" instead of a Babel fish…but it’s the same thing and performs the same function. There are also several hints in the book that shows that Mays is writing a comedy.

“I will not panic. I will not lie here shaking and crying like some too stupid to live heroine in a bad romance novel. I can handle this. I will handle this!”
– Chapter 3, pg 37

“What was he saying to her? Would he understand her like Miklan did? Why was he naked? What was she doing here? Had she been kidnapped for sex? Were all those lurid stories about alien sex in those trashy tabloids true?
– Chapter 3, page 39

“Brianna leaned back and mused silently on her current situation. Never in her wildest dreams would she have imagined the life she now led. Even though she missed her own family, she was now the pampered daughter of a powerful and rich merchant clan on a planet across the galaxy from her own, married to and pregnant with the child of a sexy alien who absolutely adored her. She’d been adopted into the royal family of another alien culture and managed to become bloodsister to a powerful family of aliens on yet a third planet. No one was capable of imagining this, not even Hollywood’s best scriptwriters.”
– Chapter 16, pg 272

Let’s start by meeting the primary characters:

The Heroine
Brianna is a tall, beautiful, fiery redhead with flashing green eyes. She mistakenly gets taken aboard an alien spaceship but as soon as she’s there the evil sex-crazed alien bad guy tries to get her. She’s saved by her incredible beauty: the handsome rich captain of the ship wants her. So he keeps her in his quarters and marries her to keep her safe (and bonk her silly). She is the MarySue of all MarySues. She is beautiful, she is spunky, she is smart, she is exotic, all the men want her, all the women want to be her friend (except the bitches, all the bitches hate her). Her attitude stinks but everyone finds it adorable and charming. In fact, it makes them like her more. Her red hair is a beautiful vivid red that falls to her waist. In Drakan hair only comes in shades of brown and never gets longer than shoulder length. This is the description we get when the hero first sees Brianna: at this time she’s been wounded (by a man who once tried to rape her, of course) and is unconscious.

“A woman – a beautifully exotic woman.
Fiery read hair tumbled over the side of the table in an auburn waterfall. Pale skin, which any woman in his family would envy, glowed under harsh laboratory lights. Full breasts with rosy nipples rose and fell with harsh breathing. A narrow waist tapered to flared hips where a splash of equally fiery public hair curled at the juncture of her thighs. Long legs stretched to the end of the table.

The agonized expression on the woman’s face didn’t hide its exotic beauty. Her face was rounder than those of his people, her lips fuller. Stunning green eyes fluttered open and stared unseeing into his. Thick, dark lashes rimmed those eyes while the well-shaped auburn brows above them contrasted sharply with her wan complexion Even with blood seeping from her shoulder, she stirred him as no woman had in a long time.”

– Chapter 2

The Hero
Captain Alalakan don al’ Chardadon (Char) is a tall, handsome, incredibly POWERFUL and rich alien captain. He is from the planet Drakan where everyone is fixated on sex all the time and they have tails. His people are comfortable with all types of [public] nudity and sex. He decides to marry Brianna to save her from (and destroy) Bakom. His family is very powerful, extremely rich as well as the head of one of the larger clans on Drakan. The family is on a first name basis with royalty.

The Evil Bad Guy
Dr. Rodak don al’ Bakom (Bakom) is a medical doctor as well as an all around horrible person. Even in a world full of 60’s style sexual freedom, Bakom is a kidnapper and rapist. So, of course, he wants to keep and rape Brianna. Brianna is the Most Beautiful of all the beautifuls. He is also the First President of the Academy of Science where – for some reason – newly discovered human forms of life are required to have sex with an examination team to prove their humanity. Ha!! As head of the Academy of Science Brianna – a newly discovered humanoid lifeform – belongs to Dr. Bakom so he can perform the Tests for Humanity on her.

“…You must accept an injection of mithrin into your body. The dosage is such that you would become sexually insatiable from anywhere from four to eight hours, and most if not all of the members of the examining team would have sexual intercourse with you. Once the dosage wore off you would be subjected to a brain scan to determine intelligence quotients. Then you would be given a physical, which would include sexual intercourse without mithrin. If your responses are not satisfactory, you could be declared nonhuman.”
Chapter 2, page 46-47

The Story
Brianna is a biologist working for the military. One day her boss calls her in to assist with a dissection. Shocked that the subjects are humanoid, Brianna steals the aliens and rushes them off the base. The aliens manage to show her where to go but the military were hot on their tail. Since the soldiers chasing Brianna were willing to use deadly force, the aliens take Brianna with them. Now Brianna is the alien. Dr. Bokom steals Brianna as soon as she is transported aboard but Char rescues her. Later Char decides to marry Brianna in order to keep Dr. Bakom from performing his Tests, making her Alalakan dem al’ Brianna. Brianna quickly becomes pregnant, making Chardadon the heir of the Alalakan Clan (meaning he will be the next head of the clan after his father).

During the ride back to Drakan, Brianna is introduced to Princess Merilinlalissa – Meri – from the world Mediria (who are green and have gills). While chatting the princess discovers that Earth has dolphins and orca (killer whales) – also known on Mediria as the sacred dols and orcs who were lost to the Mediria eons ago. This information moves the King of Mediria to adopt Brianna into the royal family. Now Brianna is the wife of a rich and powerful man and a Princess. Alalakan dem al’ Brianna, Princess Hardan.

Later, on Drakan, Brianna is introduced to (yet another) stupidly rich and powerful family from a different: Gattan. The Gatten are a fierce, war-like race of people who resemble humanoid versions of predatory Great Cats (Big Cats). The Gatten are proud, secretive, war-like and easily offended. Normally, saying/doing the wrong thing around a Gatten would cause a blood feud. Brianna pulls one of her snotty moves and manages to become blood-sister to this family. The Gattens all appreciate and revel in Brianna’s bad attitude and worse temper. Of course, they don’t get upset at her actions at all.

All of these families (three rich, powerful families from three different planets) conspire to save Brianna from Bakom, making it an inter-galactic incident. They are able to expose Bakom as the horrible kidnapping rapist he really is.

Wow. Brianna sure gets around, doesn’t she? In every way, in almost every context, this book delivers on the cliche and it delivers hard. But its fun! Lots and lots of fun. There are only two reasons this book gets 4 stars instead of 5: Brianna’s attitude and the oh so bad sex. Brianna is annoying. She’s always snapping at people and confronting people. It’s pretty annoying. But worse than Brianna’s attitude is the sex. The entire book is focused around sex but Brianna has some of the worse sex I’ve ever had the misfortune of reading. The sex is cringe worthy, to be honest. But I just skip the sex scenes and go for the rest of the story. Luckily there is very little sex in this book that revolves around sex.

My favorite parts of this book are the Gatten. They are fierce, proud warriors who just make me grin. I feel that the Gattan steal whatever scene they appear in.

While I really enjoy Brianna, I can’t help but to also note issues: one [female] character is raped, one [female] character is raped and tortured. While none of this action takes place on page, it’s still a bit disturbing considering the otherwise lighthearted tone of the book. Which is another point that bothers me – this is a very lighthearted book…but the entire plot actually revolves around the threat of rape and torture.

After a rocky start, this was an awesome book - stayed up until 1:30 this morning to finish! I'm not a big fan of uber-short scenes trying to get in everyone's POV - makes for a popcorn effect for the reader, bouncing around from person to person. There were moments in Brianna's POV when the aliens had entire conversations, followed by a notation that she didn't understand a word that was just said. Anytime the reader knows more than the character, that's a weakness.

But once it smoothed out and took off, halfway through Chapter 2 - whoa mama, look out! Really good read. The world-building and cultural development of several planets/races was rock solid. Perfect. The misunderstandings/miscommunications were genuine. I absolutely loved the characters. The romantic/sexual chemistry between Brianna and Char was SMOKIN' hawt. This story had one of the more loathesome villians I've read in a long time. HATED him - really really HATED him.

I can't wait to read book two, Shaela, but I might have to take a nap first, b/c if it's like this one - once I start I won't stop!

This was 100% wish fulfillment and I loved, loved, loved it. But... there was a scene that almost made me DNF the whole thing and then the author damn near repeated it later on.

So these alien dudes are like super sexual, so there are some misunderstandings about public nudity and such. But twice the heroine catches the hero kissing or embracing like, 3 different half-naked women. While I understand why the author used this Big Misunderstanding trope (he wasn't kissing them back but thinks it would be hella rude to push them away from fondling him), I think she handled it very poorly and repeating it was offensive. This story was fucking awesome until that scene and I wasn't sure I'd forgive the hero afterwards. Thankfully, I did and continued to enjoy the story until omg not again! So yeah, great great story but the "other woman" drama was stupid and cruel and I hated it and -1 star for it. Also, it could use another pass by an editor.

For some reason I find myself repeatedly brought back to this book. I love the characters and the whole feel of the world the author creates. Judy Mays covers a lot of little things that would usually annoy me in a scifi universe. There is no instant travel between worlds, the cultures you meet aren't ridiculously overdeveloped, and for once an author lets you know that the language barrier is an issue but comes up with a plausible way around it. Brianna's adaptibilty is a little questionable when it comes to the leading man, Chardadon, but if he's as sexy as he's supposed to be you can see why. Brianna is stubborn, funny and a quick thinker. Char is sexy, responsible and determined to keep his Brianna from the evil Bakom's clutches. My favourite thing though has to be the supporting cast. New characters are introduced throughout the book but hardly any of them stay on the peripheral. Thankfully the author realizes how fully invested in them you become because the series continues from the point of view of some of the side characters. Overall, this book is a fun and sexy interglactic joyride that earned it's place on my keepers shelf.

*Hangs head in shame*

This book was pretty awful, but almost so awful it was entertaining. Basically, Brianna is a really horrible woman who somehow has managed to make everyone in the universe believe that her rude, catty behavior is "fiery." Bitchiness does not = spunk.

Choice quotes:

"He shrugged eloquently." Really?

"Brianna's chin lifted and her eyes narrowed. 'You better mean what you say, Char, or I'll make your life a living hell.'" (Ah yes, a very healthy relationship dynamic we have going here.)

"Even though she missed her own family, she was now the pampered daughter of a powerful and rich merchant clan on a planet across the galaxy from her own, married to and pregnant with the child of a sexy alien who absolutely adored her....No one was capable of imagining this, not even Hollywood's best scriptwriters." Judy Mays doesn't like to toot her own horn, but...TOOT TOOT!

And! AND! They stop boning once she gets knocked up.

Brianna is helping two aliens escape dissection and ends up on their spaceship because her former colleagues are shooting at her. But when she gets on the ship, the aliens also have their own mad scientist. The only thing to save her is become the wife of the captain. Char will marry her to save her and then end the marriage down the road. That's what he thinks!

I liked that Brianna was given to futile fighting. I didn't like that her being rude and quick tempered made everyone like and admire her. She was a little too bitchy sometimes, and it was like people would just shrug. There were good parts to the book, but it was a little mushy toward the end for my taste. If you like a super happy HEA, then you'll like this book.

The very good thing about this story? I could not stop laughing.

Clearly, Ms Mays loves her hentai, too. And it even has a plot! :)

Note: usual lack of editing (EC imprint) makes a couple of scenes difficult to understand.

I simply cannot read this anymore; this novel was just too monotonous for my tastes. After reaching the halfway point, there was absolutely nothing that compelled me to continue reading.

For the first ten percent of the novel, I felt that the beginning was quite was strong. I was vastly intrigued at the alien encounter and wanted to know how well the main character would deal with her predicament. However, the amount of sex scenes just ended up being way too much and happened far too often! Was there really a need to have more than forty percent of beginning detailing how sex would be with an alien life form? I don't even want to consider how many sex scenes the author decided to put after the halfway point.

I've always enjoyed sci-fi/fantasy erotic romance and Brianna delivers. Perfect reading (or I think so) when you're preparing a Thanksgiving meal and/or traveling to visit family.

As a side note: This is a current free read from Ellora's Cave that I picked up. If you're curious about the book I'd recommend swinging by EC (all formats are available) or Amazon (I'm not sure about B & N, since I don't have a NOOK) and snagging your own copy.

I'm anxious to read the next book in the series to discover what happens next.

Earth woman, Brianna, saves aliens from dissection then escapes with them. To prove she is human, a villainous scientist wants to perform a series of tests. She is rescued by the spaceship's captain. Intergalactic romance, sexy times *cough*, and intrigue ensue.

This is smuttier than I usually read. It has cheese, but it had an actual plot and I LIKED it. I will read the next book in the series.

This ebook is free at Ellora's Cave, Barnes & Noble, and the Kindle store.

I absolutely loved this tale of "out of this world" love and lust.. Although it has it's quirks (minor lagging and flow), it's a worthwhile read full of spunk and "creative" eroticism (the scenes with the alien's tail were truly the work of an artist with a wild imagination)... Other than that, the price point for this ebook was over the top, but thankfully, one of my fellow "Fans of Interracial Romance" group members was kind enough to loan it to me.

Giving this one 3 solid stars.

Phenomenal Read. Brianna is a human biologist who does the right thing and saves two aliens from being dissected and ends up mated to one of their species to protect herself from becoming one of their scientist's sexual experiment.

The story introduces a lot of different species and characters, but Brianna stays the same strong, fiery woman with a temper the whole way through. I love the world Judy created and I have just bought the second book 'Sheala'. It's just a pity that its so hard to find copies of her books because the publishing company shut down. I think Sheala is the last book in this series, which is upsetting because I really wanted a book to come out about Ban and his happy ending.

One of my favorite books

This is one of my favorite stories! It's about a woman who works in a lab that has discovers aliens! Two in fact, both are hermaphrodities. She saves them but gets hurt in the process so she is taken aboard their ship. There a crazy scientist steals her away to experiment on her. The captain finds out about it and demands that he turn her over to him. The only way to save her is to marry her and make her his. This story continues on in a manner to save the female characters world and all her people from being experimented on. I love love love this book and its love story. Very sexy scenes do happen heads up

Briana

Brian a finds herself in a moral quandary. She works in a military laboratory where they are about to dissect an alien being who is alive. Deciding she can't be apart of killing a humanoid living being, she helps the aliens escape. Only to find themselves surrounded by the military as shots ring out and they are transported aboard the alien spaceship.

Now she is the alien and has to not only worry about being dissected but also having experiments done on her while she is still alive.

Brianna did what any other decent human being would do-rescue a pair of aliens her boss was about to dissect, and get them back to their space ship. In the process, she was captured by an alien scientist and became a experiment herself-a sexual experiment.

Captain Alalakan don al' Chardadon was not about to let Dr. Rodak don al' Bakom conduct his ridiculous sexual experiments on an inhabitant from a newly discovered world. Even if it meant he had to marry the Earth woman to protect her. Marriages were easily dissolved on his planet, and this alien was very beautiful. Besides, he wanted her-in his bed, on the floor, against the wall, or anywhere else he could think of.

Brianna had to choose-marry the captain or try to find another way to escape Bakom. Easy choice. Even though he was an alien, Char was the most desirable man she'd ever met.

So, Brianna finds herself hurtling through space married to a very sexy alien-with a very flexible tail-from a planet where hedonism is the norm and there are three sexes: male, female, and hermaphrodite.

But Bakom wanted Brianna too, and is willing to do anything to get her back__________________________________________________________________________________________
Brianna rescued the two aliens Miklan and Cindar and took them to their spaceship.but in the way Humans interfeer and she ends up being dragged by Miklan into the spaceship for protection. There she gets kidnapped by a scientist that wants to do a sexual experiment on her, but Char finds out and puts a stop to it.
Char doesn't want anything to do with this "specimen". but one look at this glorious women, and he's head over heels for her. But he plans to just use her for sex, and lust, and be done with it.When complications rises higher that will risk his clan and the specimen's planet(earth), the only solution would be to marry her so that the law will be behind them if they need assist. and he owes her more than that for protecting his two soldiers on earth and returning them safely.
Later on Brianna gets a dragon tattoo, and is a dragon that looks ready for war, with extended claws and a tail that wraps around her upper arm.
Rodane(Char's brother) and char's family hears about the marriage later on, and everyone thinks the marriage is just temporary....everyone except rodane and Grandmother...you see, char didn't have to marry Brianna to protect her from beckom, so that means theres more to the marriage than what everyone seems to think.
Brianna finds out that she's pregnant, and Char is happy because he wants to use the baby as bait against beckom for him to lose his job(bastard....).
Bakom still wants Brianna for his experiments, but what he doesn't know yet is that brianna's married to Char.
But later on complications arise when shela is kidnapped by one of bakom's bodyguards/workers.

Later on
Brianna is introduced to Char's family, and of course, she wins the heart of each and every family member... later on she gets introduced to her friend meri's family, and the king and and queen accept her right away.and of course, all the guys fall head over heels for her.
Roane finds out about his wife and how she doesn't care for him, so he divorces her, and finds true love in her sister Fio.
Later on in the end Bakom is proved guilty for raping and all, and Brianna has her baby child connor..who has red hair just like her and a tail.

Background characters....
there are so many great background characters... but so far i love Bandalardrac the most.
he flirst alot with Brianna and makes Char jealous, and thats the funny thing, bcause char acts all different when he's jealous. You see, Bandalardrac has a thing of taking char's girls away from him...and char's scared that Bandalardrac might take Brianna from char.
Marljas later on becomes brianna's brother, and i believe that in the future he might be mated with Char's sister Sheala.

The basic premise of this book is that Brianna, a human, is captured by aliens who threaten to turn her into a sexual experiment. I'll give that a moment to sink in....Right, so Brianna is captured by Dr. Bakom, who wants to experiment on her, but she's saved by our hero Captain Alalakan don al' Chardadon (who's name is blessedly shortened to Char for most of the book). Char marries her in order to save her, thinking that she is beautiful and will be fun to play with in bed. Char is an alien, and for his species sex (fairly blatant sex) is a huge part of culture and everyday life. As Char and Brianna get to know one another, and as Brianna gets used to the culture that she married into, deeper emotions blossom.

Positive Comments:

There is an actual plot! Now, I've been told that there are erotica authors out there that write really detailed and well thought out plots that elevate their books from mere porn status, and the sex is weaved into a real story with plot devices and character development and all of that good stuff...But I've honestly never seen that. Usually I see frail "plots" that lead to sex, and the sex is the main point of the story. Brianna is not like that, but it isn't the aforementioned perfect blend of plot and sex either. Instead, we get a lot of alien politics, culture shock, and character development, with intermittent steamy love scenes. It's not perfect, but it does work really well for this kind of story--I was entertained by both the sexual and non-sexual plots.

As for the sex itself, there is less of it than you might imagine. There's a handful of sexual encounters between Char and Brianna, but they aren't as detailed or explicit as some of the erotica I've come across. I think what earned it the erotica label was likely Char's tail, which is flexible can be used as a sexual organ. She describes him using it a couple of times, there's some backdoor action going on, but each of those descriptions is a short paragraph or a couple of sentences. Bottom line, the sex is there, but they dwell on it less than I expected.

Critical Comments:

There were a couple of plot points that really bothered me. For one thing, Char belongs to what I suppose we could call a royal family. Leadership passes to whichever individual in a generation produces the first child. The implications of that bothered me enough, but then we get to the SPOILERY part.

Brianna gets pregnant. Yep, and human and an alien are reproductively compatible. In terms of biology, that makes them the same species. The entire concept of this is silly and illogical and makes my brain hurt. But it gets better...Brianna's baby is going to make Char the new leader, when everyone had assumed that the position would go to Rodane (I think that's his name) because he's been married for years. Eventually they figure out that his wife had been preventing conception for one reason or another, and he divorces her over it. 1) Her reasons for taking birth control and not telling him still don't make sense to me 2) I'm a bit appalled that this was considered a divorce worthy offense 3) That whole political system just sucks. What if your partner was infertile? What if you had an accident that made bearing children difficult or impossible? What if the first person to have a child is an idiot or an evil person who shouldn't be given power?

So ya, just because there is a plot doesn't mean it's a good plot.

The other complaint is that this book was riddled with typos. I'm told that this is typical of Ellora's Cave publications. Whether you want to place blame with them, the author, or whoever, it's a bit appalling that I paid $15 for this originally and there are some parts that have enough typos to make the reading process confusing.

Now, at the time that this review was written the Kindle version of the book was free on amazon--Brianna. If you are inclined to read it and you can get it for free or cheap, there are worse ways to spend an afternoon. 3 stars.

The plot was good. And everybody likes a bad guy like that to be brought to his knees. However I have major problems with this book. First of all, everything came too easily to the heroine. Becoming like a queen to one clan, an adopted daughter to another and bloodsister to another, these things should be a little bit harder you know. I see this kind of thing in lots of books and i dont like it. Mighty and fearsome aliens gets so glamoured with the heroine's bratty attitude that they instantly feel in love with her, do anything she wants etc. The second problem I had was that well, I do not believe that the hero is really in love with her. Throughout the book hero did not think that he loves her, and writer told us that he actually does but he is unaware. He was just glamoured with her just like everybody in the book, he liked to fuck her for sure, he used her to bring down his enemy and to gain power in his clan (like I would believe that a mercant like him would not want that power), gave her expensive gift like any other women user sugar daddy would do, and that was it. Knowing how sensitive she is about infidelity, he did not even acknowledge that we will not have sex with other women again. He always only said "I am honourable, so i will not have sex with other women while she is at the same house". If in a society, having sex with other women when your wife is in the other room is considered something dishonourable, then surely the concept of cheating, and fidelity does exist. No matter what that manwhore is trying to convince us. Well dear heroine, I must tell you, one day or another that man will cheat on you for sure. I hated the hero for being a manwhore and manipulating the heroine, using her and everything.
The heroine was not so much better. She was so captured in thralls of sex and the life of rich and famous, she acted like she was high with it most of the time.
Lastly, I would never accept to talk to the maidens in the house about leaving my husband alone, and not have sex with him. That is his job. He should be man enough to thwart their overtures. By making her do this, he is basically saying that "Well you know i want you, but my wife is unreasonable, and i need to go with it for now. See you later".
I do not know how can i love a book, when i hate one chacaracter, do not particularly like the other one, and do not believe in their love.

I didn't let the terrible cover dissuade me from trying a new author. Judy Mays did a great job of world building while writing a steamy erotic novel-balancing the romance and fantasy/sci-fi genres requires skill. If the undertaking was easy, we would all find many more great PNRs.

We get not just one alien world, but a whole "federation of planets" (apologies to all the Trek fans) populated with physically and culturally diverse inhabitants. Space travel is travel-it takes time in this world and requires starships. Language is a barrier. A translator device implanted in the ear makes the spoken word understood, but Briana spends months trying to parallel the written English language and the Arabic numbering system to those of Char's world. And readers still get a couple whose relationship begins with a sensual initial attraction (and an expedient merger to protect Briana) and grows into a loving albeit tempestuous partnership.

The book has great supporting characters, some of which appear in the next book "Sheala" and in the short prequel "Meri" (that I found after reading the first two books). Judy Mays is a great author, but she hasn't written any other books in the series. That's awful because we desperately need Ban's story to be told!

July 2014 UPDATE: Read it again for the umpteenth time...I love it. And I'm so excited that Judy Mays is finally writing the next book in the series!

This was a nice book to spend the day with. It was sexy. It was set in space (on a spaceship and a few distant planets, no less). It had aliens WITH TAILS. Win/win/win. You guys do know that I'm partial to sexy sci-fi,. right? True story. I adore it. This book absolutely hit the spot. Absolutely.

Char has that whole dominant male thing going for him (love it!) but Brianna is more than able to keep up with him. She's got a bit of a temper and she's not afraid to show it. I liked that. I liked the way she confronted him and the way she wasn't content to sit back and let things just happen to her. I liked how she was willing to stand up for Char in the face of all the women who were attracted to him/throwing themselves at him. It was pretty darn awesome.

Now, Char takes a while to realize how much he cares for his fiery wife. He's driven by his desire to bring down Bakom and he's willfully blind to the emotions Brianna stirs in him. It's kind of cute, really.

Overall, this was a fun, naughty adventure with a passel of aliens who are interesting and very sexual. I approve of all those things.
