Callum Ormond (15, ik-figuur) is al maanden op de vlucht. Hij probeert achter het familiegeheim te komen en het Ormond-juweel te vinden. Vanaf ca. 12 jaar.
Gabrielle Craig Lord is an Australian writer who has been described as Australia's first lady of crime.
She survived being ‘razed’ by the nuns, acquired an education despite this, and after working in many different areas, sales, teaching, brick-cleaning, peach-picking and packing, and in the Public Service as an employment officer, started writing seriously aged 30.
Her first two manuscripts ended up composting the tomatoes at her market garden – another attempt to make a living – but the third one FORTRESS was picked up internationally and made into a feature film starring Rachel Ward. A later novel WHIPPING BOY was made into a telemovie starring Sigrid Thornton. The film rights money, coinciding with her daughter leaving school, allowed Gabrielle to resign and instead of getting up at 4.30am and writing for several hours before heading off for work, she could write full-time and lead a more ‘normal’ writer’s life – hanging around with scientists and detectives, badgering forensic anthropologists (she studied some Anatomy at Sydney university) and doing work experience with a busy private security business and of course, writing.
Research is everything, she says. ‘Out of my contacts with experts (who are always far too modest to describe themselves that way) I get not only the fine-tuning necessary for today’s savvy readers, but also wonderful incidents and images that enrich and enlarge my books.’
Gabrielle’s interests are very simple. ‘After a misspent youth, I don’t have many brain cells left so I enjoy walking, meditation, singing, gardening, chatting with close friends, being with my family and grandkids, feeding my goldfish and keeping up to date with bodywork and enlightened psychotherapy.’
Gabrielle has now written fourteen adult novels and a novel for young adults. Once the 12 books of Conspiracy 365 are completed, this tally will be a tad bigger! Following this mammoth endeavour she already has plans for another three adult novels and two more YAs. 2013
Cal runs away from the crash site of the Ormond Orca, meaning he has to go into the forest that is infested with police, finally he gets so tired from walking he falls down and blacks out. Finally, after getting back to the city he meets up with Winter. They create a plan to break into Vulcan Sligo, a major criminal, house. On the 29th of June he is inside the house and breaking int the safe with the help of his friend, Repro.

Here's the thing: Cal is left in a harrowing situation again at the end of this book. So I think he probably won't make it and Boges will have to solve the mystery (with Winter's help, of course--unless she turns out to be a girl we shouldn't have trusted after all.) Right? :)
June had me sighing with disbelief over and over again. This is one of those series that has used up all the believable, plausible life-and-death, action-packed scenarios too early in the series so the author simply uses as many unbelievable ones as possible. Wild brumby stampede? Check. Stealing a plane, hang glider and jet ski crashing all of them but escaping without a single injury? Check. Snake bite? Check. Accidentally climbing into a lion enclosure at the zoo and being nearly eaten to death? Check. I think you get the picture. I am so sick of all of it. Everything is conveniently made to go in Cal's favor. He is never caught. Not matter how many times he breaks into a place and he can hear the a person's footsteps coming towards him, he will escape. Out a window, into a tree or even hiding under the bed because why would someone bother check there? Its absolutely ridiculous.
I don't understand how Gabrielle Lord thinks that we would believe a sixteen-year-old with no "street experience" for lack of a better phrase, can go on the run for entire six months - as number one on the police's most wanted list - without being caught. Not once has he been made. Not once, at least that he hasn't escaped from. Yet he buys food and clothes from local shops, he goes to internet cafes where he see his face being played on the news, he uses his cell phone constantly, he has his own blog that he updates regularly trying to get the public on his side, he had a freakin' tracking device implanted in him for five months yet he has never been caught. He is even talked to be numerous cops in this one who don't recognise him. The police have been after this "teen fugitive" for six months yet wouldn't know him from a bar of soap. Its ludicrous and beginning to really get on my nerves.
We also get to see Cal bring out his gullible, idiotic side again. He is seriously one of the stupidest criminals I have ever read about. For someone who has been on the run for half a year, he knows nothing about the streets. He is naive and it really shows up in June.
Overall, this wasn't a good installment to the series. The action was well-written but was unbelievable. I was disappointed by the lack of clue-solving and attention to the DMO. I am really hoping that July will be better.
Conspiracy 365: June by Gabrielle Lord. Cal was able to escape the burning wreckage of the Orca. Cal found a scout hall and stayed there for awhile and he had to contact his dad's colleague, Eric Blair, but he's still on leave. He also had to contact Jennifer Smith to get the memory stick. But soon a group of ballerinas were going to the scout hall and Cal had to leave. He soon met his friend Boges and Boges found a place for Cal to stay at and also he got the memory stick from Jennifer and saw all the pictures on it. But then Cal new his new objective, find the Ormond Jewel. He knew Sligo had it and he had to get it back and he had to get his address. He soon got the address and he needed someone to crack open a safe and he knew the exact person, Repro. They snuck in to Sligo's place and found the safe, after a couple attempts they got it open and the Jewel was there. But they had to get out of there. They got a truck and drove away but soon they had to go on foot Cal found a hang glider and glided down to the beach almost crashing. Cal got a text from an anonymous sender saying that cal must die. Cal was walking and he got stopped by a police car and they took him to the police station. But Cal escaped and he was chased but soon to be caught in a drift net possibly going to drown.
This book was great I think the plot thickened and it got really interesting. It made me want to read more. I always loved the cliff hanger at the end of each book and this one makes me want to know what happens next.
I'd recommend this book to people who likes this series. I'd also recommend this book to people who like action because this book is is full of it. Also if you like mysteries this book is for you.

I am reading the book Conspiracy 365 June by Gabrielle Lord, and I don’t know the lexile level. The book is about a guy whose name is Cal and he has to escape from Ormond Orca and the police so everyone is on the lookout for him because he ran away, but doing so he has to figure out his ancient family secret. The central idea of this book is that being afraid can’t really happen even for Cal because he has to run and not get caught while trying to figure out his family's secrets. I really liked this book especially because I like when characters do the opposite of what they're supposed to do, like rebels . The setting is really everywhere in this book but he has to hide for about a year from New Years day, otherwise he gets killed. I recommend this book to anyone who likes mysteries or thrillers. I liked the book because it really tells you how different people have different lives and everyone is dealing with their own stuff. My favorite part in the book is the beginning because some crazy man tells Cal that his dad is dead, and my least favorite part is probably that he always has to have his guard up and not get caught which would be scary especially if people are trying to kill you. I don’t think the book was confusing for me. I actually understood it. Was a little easy for me but it also was a little predictable but that’s fine. I don’t really like the way the author wrote this book because sometimes she would often leave like cliffhangers at the end of the sentence and not finish it in the next one.
In the book Conspiracy 365 by Gabrielle Lord. Callum with few seconds to spare had escaped the orca Cal escapes from the burning wreck of the Orca. Helicopters search from the sky, while Oriana's thugs chase on foot. There's no time to think about his dead great-uncle - Cal must dodge the cops and criminals, and return to his pursuit of the Ormond jewel. Convinced Sligo has the jewel, Cal embarks on a dangerous break-in mission to retrieve it. He hopes it will give him the answers he needs, but what if it reveals another menacing mystery? Stealing from his enemies could prove to be a fatal mistake to Callum Ormond...
I personally love these types of novels I just like the conflict and the mystery and about Callum ormond finding the truth about his father. I just personally love conspiracy 365 because of the set up of the book and how everything is plotted neatly and all the action and the thrill in this book. I love the creativity of the book and I also found out that there is a television show about this called Conspiracy 365. I recommend this book to mostly middle schoolers to high schoolers because the younger levels such as 1st through fourth graders would probably not understand what is happening throughout the book and basically the type of words which younger grades could not pronounce like higher levels would.
The book I read was conspiracy theories 365 june. By ; Gabrielle Lord, lexile level is 800
My character whos name is Cal lives on his own because his parents had passed away a while back, during the book he is trying to find out what had happened to his parents and also trying to find his other family members like his cousins. But there are people out there that are trying to kill him and those people never liked his parents. While all this is going on there are cops after him during a big fire and he doesnt have much time to escape it. The theme of my book is be careful who you trust because u never know, he trusted someone he didnt know and was setup and almost killed. Those people had knives and were trying to get him and maybe kill him. My favorite part of the book was when cal was in the burning area with cops and everything and he managed to escape on not go to jail or possibly get killed. Also my least part of the book was when he was hiding in a train spot where the train goes through and nothing really happened until they found him and he got chased. That really didnt make a connection to me because nothing like that in my life. Sincerely Lukas, william, Means
Conspiracy 365 June by Gabrielle Lord is about a teen named Cal who is on the run and needs to figure out his dads riddle he left behind. Cal is being hunted down by two criminals. He has two friends of his who are helping him on the way. They have been helping him with the riddle and helping him hide out from the two criminals.
This book was a very good book. It was filled with good paragraphs and good action. I thought it was a very good book and there were many different things happening.
I would recommend this book to people who like action in book or people who have read the series. I would rate this book a 8 out of 10.
The plot moves along with the Ormond Singularity and Cal successfully stealing the Jewel from Sligo, thanks to Winter and Repro, but the plot thickens...if others want the Ormond fortune, Cal has to die, which means he NOW has to survive his 16th birthday. He FINALLY processed the twin thing--which I think is where the baby cry and white toy dog of his recurring nightmare comes from--has to do with the kidnapping. What ABOUT his twin though?? He has to survive too. Are they going to cross paths and connect soon? I hope so. No surprise, Winter WAY more involved than she lets on.

Great eventful storyline continuing on from the last books, Winter and Boges have bonded and it has strengthened the companionship between the three. I do not want to spoil to much but read my first reviews because i don't want to get repetitive as i keep reading and reviewing these. Definitely a recommendation from me, although you should start on book 1.
This has by far been my favorite. The book progressed just enough to feel like we were getting somewhere. I still enjoy the characters and am impressed with how strong Cal along with his best friend Boges is. They are good for one another. It was nice to see that Cal could grow even under these tough challenges.
This entire series is a page turner, as we approach the half way point of Cal's forced fugitive status. Not just on the run from the law but in hiding from a much more dangerous criminal element. Life is not improving as Cal contantly seems to evade capture. Slowly putting together clues to explain why all of this happening to him can Cal survive the 365 days that appear to be the key.
Cal is left in a sticky situation again at the end of this book. So I think he probably won't make it and Boges will have to solve the mystery (with Winter's help, of course--unless she turns out to be a girl we shouldn't have trusted after all.) Right?
