I obviously didn't pick this up looking for a brilliant piece of literature lol. Charmed was my favorite show all throughout my school years. I read this for nostalgia purposes only and I loved every minute of it. ...more

A very well written novelization of the TV show's pilot. But I would say that it was based on the unaired, scrapped pilot, before TW King was cast as Andy and before they decided to go in a different direction with Andy. Still, it was interesting to read, especially the sisters' POV, what they thought and felt, since sometimes, that doesn't come across so well on TV. ...more

I enjoyed getting to relive this world, just in book form. It was kinda strange to go from seeing it on screen to a novelization, but I will continue on. Welp, going to Mexico until the 11th! I'll see you guys later. ...more

I was so excited when I saw this book at the library. I absolutely loved the Charmed series when it was on TV, and couldn't wait to squeeze this pocket read in somewhere. Reading this was like visiting an old friend - I wanted to run and put on my dvd's and watch my box set all over again.

Was it the best written book? No. But I still loved it and read it in 2 sittings (it could easily have been one if we didn't get visitors). I adore Prue, Phoebe and Piper. These characters are

I loved watching the show Charmed. So when I found this book in a local Street Library, I had to grab it.

The Halliwell sisters aren't exactly close. After their grandmother died, Prue and Piper moved back into their childhood home. They get along well enough and lead their own lives. But when Phoebe returns and reads a magical incantation from a book she finds in the attic, everything changes.

Now, the three sisters must face their dangerous destiny as the Charmed Ones...

Wow. I enjoyed the hell

Nice reread of a book I read ages ago. There were some minor differences at times from the show that made me eh but overall I liked the book still.

Was lucky enough to find this copy in a bookshop since all of them are out of print. Once I saw the first volume I just grabbed It and read it.
The volume adapts the pilot episode of Charmed. It just brought good memories of childhood that itself was an amazing experience.
The novel adaptation was decent and gave more depth to the characters with their thoughts added on text.

Originally published on My Books Are Me

Six months after the death of their grandmother, three sisters are reunited, and within hours of Phoebe Halliwell's return, she's read an incantation and turned her and her sisters Prue and Piper into witches!

Based off the first episode of the hit TV series Charmed, the first book in this novelization series follows Prue, Piper and Phoebe discovering they are actually descended from a long line of witches, and that they are the most powerful witches the

The first ever Charmed novel. This novel is all about three sisters called Phoebe, Prue and Piper who discover they are witches and become the Charmed Ones. The Charmed Ones are the most powerful witches ever. You find out in this novel about the Halliwells background history which they were never aware of, they discover their powers and find out that an evil warlock is set to kill them and steal their powers.

Prue is the oldest of the sisters, then Piper and then Phoebe is the youngest. Without

This book is written after the episode. So for this part I think it's very easy. It's totally the same. Maybe not all discription for Roger or Jeremy but it must have been easy.

I want to watch Charmed again. It's been the first series I've watched fully when I was a kid because my dad loved it and I've rewatched it every now and then or only a few episodes.
Now a good friend of mine start watching this and I was actually jealous. I'm studying for Finals. Have to many other series to rewatch and

The Charmed ones Prue, Piper and Phoebe Halliwell. Sisters that aren't as close as they were when they were little; at least not Prue and Phoebe.

It mirrors the episode except for some extra scenes that are put into it. Andy and Phoebe both return to San Francisco one from Oregon one from New York. Both coming on for the first time in a while. Andy's Prue's ex-boyfriend from high school who is now an inspector.

Phoebe returning after six months of being away searching for her dad who she has not

This novelization of the first episode of Charmed delves deeper into the characters, letting us know exactly what they were thinking and feeling instead of having to guess based on facial expressions. There are several changes to the story, such as when certain characters first appear and meet other characters, but this isn't a big deal to me as the overall outcome is still the same. I think fans of the show will enjoy this book, I know I did.

I have always liked the Charmed series, and I remember devouring most of the novelisations I could get when I was a kid. I have some unread ones on my bookshelf that I hope to read for fun.

Rereading this novel hasn't taken the charm away from the novel series at all. Although I'm now older and possess a little bit more of an idea of what I actually like in my fiction, I still enjoyed this book, primarily for nostalgia purposes. Rereading this book took me back to that time in my life where this

In this book we learn how Prue, Piper, and Phoebe discover their powers. Having been separated since their Grams death six months ago, the sisters become the Charmed Ones, the most powerful of witches, when they are reunited again. Prue finds their mother's old spirit board in the basement with an inscription on the back that reads, "To my three beautiful girls. May this give you the light to find the Shadows. The power of three will set you free. Love, Mom." The spirit board leads Phoebe to the ...more

Four stars for pure nostalgia. I remember when Charmed first aired and my mom let me stay up past my bedtime to watch the pilot and we both fell in love and it became a ritual of ours that on Charmed night I got to stay up an hour later to watch with her. When my parents split up and my mom moved away I found these books and I’d read them to feel that feeling again. I’ve gotten my hands on them again after so many years and they make me feel closer to her and the nights we used to stay up watchi ...more

As a Charmed super-fan, I have been wanting to read this book for a few years now, and so happy I did. The book reiterates episodes 1, while adding interesting details, and some deleted scenes. This book feels like a alternative to episode 1, that could have certainly made the show. If you want to remeinse on your childhood with a fun and fast read, start with "The Power of Three". ...more

It may just be a novelisation of the pilot episode of the show, but I still enjoyed re-reading this one :) Easy to picture, maybe because I know the pilot so well, and a nice trip down the fangirl memory lane. There is this random scene where a burnt Melinda Warren shows up which is odd as it sounds, but other than that - good fun!

This book was based on the original Charmed Season 1 Episode 1. Basically, the book was a novelization of the episode. However, there were some slight differences. I enjoyed reading this book. Very easy to read with an engaging plot. I especially loved reading what the sisters were thinking as I progressed through the book.

Super easy read and follows the first episode to a T. I picked it up to reread when the series popped off Netflix and disappeared. I’d have it on as background regularly and was heartbroken when it left Netflix!

However! It’s on the Peacock streaming service for free! Best news ever.
