217: 2023 This is a really solid little cookbook. I love that it's based on Trader Joe's foods not because I love Trader Joe's (don't get me wrong, I AM a fan) but because of the semi-homemade vibe. These recipes are very likely going to add to my weekday repertoire so we can have tasty food in a rush that isn't garbage. This is definitely going on the want-to-buy list.
It focuses on recipes by region that can be made with Trader Joes ingredients. The recipes are pretty standard and straight forward. There are a few pictures of the recipes.
Im not a TJ afficionado but I do shop there on ocassion. i found the book fun and, while obviously constrained by the ingredient list, still having some good recipes.
I really enjoyed reading this book and seeing all the different recipes representing different countries! I'll definitely be trying some of these recipes!
ingredients from Trader Joe's combine to make a bunch of different ethnic recipes. the book is divided into 11 chapters of menus for each cultural area, like "French Flair", "Invitation to India", and so on. Some recipes use specialized TJ brands, and many could be easily substitute as ideas for any source. A few I bookmarked: Couscous with dried fruit, a mango salsa, chicken with apricots.
Fantastic recipe suggestions & I really liked that the book was sectioned by country / cuisine. The middle-eastern recipes caught my attention the most, but there were several in the book that I'm planning on trying.
