Tea book that includes lists of tea shops, tea rooms, and types of teas as well as meditation poses, breathing techniques and the history of different tea cultures (mainly China, Japan, Britain and India). The writer is very knowledgeable about tea (even which tea to match with meditation techniques)!

Here a few tea inspired quotes from the book that I liked:

Tea is drunk to forget the din of the world - T'ien Yiheng, eighth-century Chinese sage

When we cannot bear to be alone it means we do not properly value the only companion we will have from birth to death - ourselves - Edna LeShan (1922-2002)

All beginnings require that you unlock new doors. - Rabbi Nachman of Bratslav (1772-1810)

While there's tea there's hope - Sir Arthur Wing Pinero (1855-1934) British actor/essayist/playwright

Never be afraid to sit and think a while - Lorraine Hansberry (1930-1965)

Knock on your inner door and no other - Rumi

The monks of the Chinese Cha'n sect of Buddhists believed that the first cup of tea helped to keep a calm and clear mind while they sat in meditation. The second cup helped them feel as if the spirit was cleansed by gentle rain. After a third cup, one can understand the nature of things. - Anecdotal saying

Breath is the bridge which connects life to consciousness, which unites your body to your thoughts. Whenever your mind becomes scattered, use your breath as the means to take hold of your consciousness - Thich Nhat Hanh (Thay) (b. 1926)

The real meditation is... the meditation on one's identity. Ah, voila une chose!! You try it. You try finding out why you're you and not somebody else. And who in the blazes are you anyhow? Ah, viola une chose - Ezra Pound (1885-1972)

Absolutely loved every minute of this! I got the book because I attended Diana Rosen's meditation at a tea festival and wanted to continue what I learned that day. Not only did I learn to carry on my meditation but I was able to learn more about my passion with tea.
