Akira and his classmates are on a plane heading back home after a field trip abroad. Suddenly the plane crashes on a mysterious island. Akira is somehow still alive despite the crash, but soon discovers that he's not exactly safe and sound when enromous supposedly extinct beasts begin chasing him. Akira begins to find other classmates who have also survived the crash. Some work together and some work against each other in an effort to survive on the strange island.
FIGHT AND/OR FLIGHT?
As if being stranded on a deserted island full of prehistoric beasts wasn’t bad enough, now there’s a killer among the human survivors of the plane crash. Akira Sengoku and his classmates are forced to fight and flee dangerous monsters of a bygone era, all while keeping themselves safe from a hockey-masked madman who seems bent on Akira’s destruction. When the chips are down, can Akira and his ragtag band of survivors defend themselves against both man and beast? Find out in this action-packed second volume of Cage of Eden!
The gang meets more people and the new extinct animals appear on the island and the story continues, going well and let's find more as we read more and keep on reading.
I have always loved comics, and I have I can. I love comics to bits, may the comics never leave my side. I loved reading this and love reading more, you should also read what you love and hope always to love them. Even though I grew up reading local Indian comics like Raj Comics, Diamond Comics, or even Manoj Comics, now's the time to catch up on international and classic comics and Graphic novels. I am on my quest to read as many comics as I just want to Keep on Reading.
World: Solid art, the creatures are great, pantie shots not so much. The world building is good with a lot of mystery. I like the tone the book sets.
Story: A good continuation of the story. Wish there was more survival but the human dynamic is okay. Nothing new here and mostly falls in cliches. I like the interactions, they are elevating this story.
Characters: Solid interaction and banter. I like the central character mystery. Nice little moments. Some characters are pretty disgusting.
When I read volume one, I'd liked it but didn't really know if it was something I could see myself getting into. After all, it's a pretty long series, which I'm not always a fan of. (Mostly because it means that there's the potential for a lot of filler ala Naruto or InuYasha.) This series so far has surprised me.
The fanservice is still going strong in this book and I'm rather impressed at how the series can cram it in there while still making it seem somewhat natural for it to occur. Yeah, you're going to see panty shots and cheesecake images galore, but it's not done at the sake of the book's plot or its characters. I wanted to mention and emphasize this in my review because much of the time you'll see fanservice that's gratuitous to the point where you'll get "Girl A falls down for little or no reason and all her clothes fall off". (Seriously, I saw an anime where this happened.)
The plot is pretty nice as well. I'll admit that I've looked ahead a little in the series on Wikipedia, and the series has a lot of promise for those who love a good mystery. For the plot right now, though, we've got a decent buildup of the characters and their abilities. I do occasionally wonder about the power levels of Mariya's computer, as it seems to have almost unlimited levels of energy. It's a small quibble, especially in a series where you have ancient critters getting ready to nom down on our intrepid young heroes and heroines, but it keeps sticking in the back of my mind. (Although I expect that eventually the computer's loss of power will become a plot point later on.)
I have to say that I rather like the risks that the series is taking. I can't go into too much detail, but I'll say this: this is very much a "nature, red in tooth and claw" type of series. It doesn't hold up the idea that everyone must survive, nor does it try to keep everyone absolutely safe.
Not everyone will like this series, mind you, and people looking for the next weird mind trip "people stuck on an island with strange things ala LOST" might be disappointed that this is more action driven than anything else, at least so far. For those who love action, pretty girls and fanservice, and strange beasties, this is going to be right up their alley.
Has the story progressed the extinct creatures more diverse and the loss of humanity in some of the passengers deepens but threw the darkness the lights of the heroes of this island appear.
This was my first time reading a genre like this in manga, and I was really surprise because I love it as much as I love this kind of genre with my books!
My, I just love the idea of mixing suspense, mystery, adventure and science fiction (?) to this story. It was definitely a first time for me and I have to say that this series is going to stay with me for a very very long time (probably forever hahaha).
I love the suspense and mystery (like duh, haha) and I don't think I found some parts in this series that I dislike.
Dang, I'm just rambling haha. Ohh well, just read this series and I'm sure you'll get hook too. And oops, that ending was....I dunno, I just feel that we're going to expect more to come ;)

The fanservice continues, it seemed a tad less but I might have blocked it out! But yeah.... making my way to volume 3 and while I'm interested in the actual story and plotline.... I think the constant fanservice and excuse to draw all those shots just ruins it for me. Volume 3 will be the judge of wether I will continue or not.
Akira and his friends found another group of survivors. But a short while after the Andrewarchus appears again and the whole group has to fight him back. I like this manga but the panty shots need to stop.
Jeez-can you say fan-service? Boob and panty shots aside, this is a pretty good story about the kids surviving on the very weird island they have crash landed on. The power dynamics are starting to come into play in this volume and the creepy, crazy guy who wants to kill the hero has emerged.
Honestly, this does not seem to be getting any better. I still find the animals interesting though. I may be reading this solely to see what extinct species they use throughout the books. The plot isn't really going to keep me motivated.
